Thanks for the help! I just bought a duramax, and a 6x10x4 dump trailer, I have my first job tomorrow morning! And we just bought a home, I told our realtor what I got going on and he says he has some clean outs already for me 💪🏼 wouldn’t of done it without your videos thanks a lot!
That’s good stuff brother!
Congrats Turpedo! Get that Paper Baby
Wyatt Turpin that’s awesome! Trash outs are great work.
Where did you buy your dump trailer?
How’s the business going?
perfect example of a " POWER COUPLE"
thank you
Y’all are living the dream. Being your own boss is the best thing ever!!!! No looking back, keep grinding. PS: really friendly neighbor.
Lol. Thanks for watching the videos
Someone stole my trailer within 2 months of me owning the thing and left me back to just the pick up and straps so I know what you mean about feeling ghetto but money talks and I decided to wait to invest on a dump trailer until I can afford an actual dump truck 🤙🏽 but I absolutely love your set up! Nice👌🏽
I’m sorry this happen to you, I can’t imagine smh losers I swear
Im sure you don't realize how much you and jojo are helping others. Even though junk removal isn't exactly what my husband and i are trying to do watching ur videos makes me feel like i can keep pushing further and holding on longer its been a little over a month since we started and sometimes we feel that maybe we don't have what it takes but when u upload a video it motivates me to keep pushing so thank you for that
Irene Rodriguez what a great comment. Your welcome, I’m glad Matt and I have inspired you. We were wondering where are you located...?
@@SonomaStrong We are located in El paso Tx
Any update since starting?
Started about a month ago. I’m full time and happier than I can ever remember being! All glory to God!!
Right on 👍
Can i ask how you got your first clients? who you advertised too?
First clients other than friends and family came from Craigslist, most of them now come from Facebook and online search
@@SonomaStrong Thanks man, me and my brother are starting one now, Getting biz cards tomorrow. Trying to get all the advice i can for getting clients!
Good luck to you
I have a dodge diesel 4x4..I'd much rather put a dump truck conversion kit on it, or replace the long bed with a dump bed, than haul around a trailer. Where I live in so cal, parking extra trailers is pretty expensive.
The conversion kits a great! Do what works for you and your area….
Ive been persuing entrepreneurship for a while and i absolutely love how you said its like filling up your gas tank, the more you put into it the further your gonna get. I used to work for 1800GOTJUNK and im looking to start my own junk removal business
Did you start it? How is it going?
@@violetlily8 woah! I forgot i made this comment a year ago and yes i did, i been doing it for almost a year now.. its been going great. Post craigslist ads and make a facebook/IG page join all the buy and sell groups and post! I went from a pickup truck with plywood walls mounted into the bed and i made enough to buy own truck and a trailer and after that i started getting more jobs i destroyed my transmission and i had enough to get it rebuilt and im still out here getting jobs. And omw to start 2 more businesses. If you'd like to see my business page you can find me on Facebook @ (JMM Hauling & Junk Removal) located in antioch CA. Give it a like too
@Ivan Alexander thanks brother✊

Thanks for sharing
haha "hey jojo, how ghetto was I?" i love it. 😀
lol
I'm trying to start doing this 2nd shift with 1 pickup truck. I work 1st shift till 4pm. The transfer station closes at 4pm every day. Very hard for me to get started until I save for a trailer. Only positive is my truck is paid off.
We started with just a truck, you can do it. Keep grinding
Awesome ! I love those Tundra trucks . I have a box truck with a tow hitch that tows 6000lbs so I was thinking about buying a dump trailer to tow with box truck and sort all the good stuff into the box truck and recycling stuff and all the junk into the trailer so just dump and go and sort out the stuff in the box later for resale and charge delivery fees for the box truck delivery. I’m passing out flyers to Realtors.
That’s awesome
I love the gas tank analogy! Pure gold
I salute you, you really inspire me. Keep doing your thing
I appreciate that
I think I’m going to start doing this. Thank you guys lol
Good luck

I got a 21 ft box truck. But the reason i got was because it was 3k. Trying to get it started. I got a voicemail by a lady from home advisor saying they have lots of clients. But im a little iffy about home advisor

@@SonomaStrong Been using nextdoor and have one client who seems like he is going to be returning i did a concrete pick up and he liked my pricing and said he will use me for every job he gets. So thank you guys for that. Also i charged $350 for 18ft by 18ft 3 inch thickness. Took me about hour finish. Is that good pricing for concrete, cause even though it didn't take me too long it was a little back breaking

Hello it's @AwordFromMrJones , I had started a Junk Removal company and am slowly making my way to making this full time. Would you be able to make a video to go over some tips for writing customer invoice for jobs and also the process to secure a job with a business?
Much appreciated and I enjoy watching your channel.
Hopefully you have come across some videos that cover this topic We have a video called apps we use that will cover invoices.
Your video is so inspiring! I live in Napa and that’s my plan for 2021. I have 2 trucks that are not giving me any money. It’s time to make some money and you guys inspired me!!!!

Why did you pick the dump trailer that you have now? Would you get a different one if you had to do it again? What's next for you? Dump truck, employees?
Can you make a video on how to start a junk removal business as far as getting an LLC and all documents needed before you can actually launch your business. Thanks
we have a video series called how to start a business part 1-5
If anyone on here has info on when SBA starts to grant loans in response to COVID-19 please post. I have my application completed, just waiting on the next step. This may help keep a business ready to go when everyone sees the pile they made cleaning out their houses while bored at home.
Great video I have a detailing business I have done well but looking to start junk removal/delivery business is there that much junk out there to stay busy for a number of years again great video I enjoy the content
Thanks for watching the videos
Box truck can make u hell of cash too u just need to hustle and move fast can empty a full boxtruck in less than 30 mins

Hello and thank you Guys so much for the videos, they are truly inspirational, Quick question, should I get my insurance now, I only have a pickup, I am brand new, and what is the insurance called ?
Yes get insurance it’s not expensive just business liability insurance. We go through next insurance it’s about 45 a month If they don’t have junk removal see if they have garbage removal or cleaning service
I like ur style my man!

Been watching your videos and been inspired into going into the dump trailer buisness... scared to leave my full time job but making a move on this before leaving my full time... I'm in cali too and wanted to know on how to price loads?
Call around in your area and see what others are charging and be about that price maybe a little less to be competitive but not to much less, be in that ballpark
Mo money Mo money Mo money !
If you don't mind me asking bud. But how much do you think you made the first year and how much are you making now? Would love to know. We are all motivated by money and what industry pays well. It is a very interesting question and I think everyone would love to know what industry makes that money lol. I love the fact that you guys are great example of starting with nothing to making it into something. Thanks guys
Love your comment and we will actually do a video on this. At posted
THANK YOU SONOMA STRONG HAULING
No problem
I walked a builder's property and they mentioned that they wanted the fines/smalls picked up off the dirt. Do you use a bob cat for that or just manual labor? Thank you for sharing your knowledge/videos.
We usually rake it and scoop it with a snow shovel,
@@SonomaStrong thank you kindly for your response. I'm a beginner and landed my first bid with a construction home builder for interior cleans and debris removal. My goal is to get a skid steer and dump truck, but for now it'll be a dump trailer and rakes, shovels, manual labor for now. Thanks again!!
You two are an inspiration. I love your positive attitude. I just started my dumpster rental service and got my first dumpster last Friday.
Do you pay for the yelp lead service ($150 per month), if so is it worth it?
No we have never paid for leads, we don’t feel you need them
I love the way that your partner is your wife...A quickly question do you think ottawa is a good place to start the business
don't know much about Ottawa but if it has a good population then it should work...
Matt and JoJo I’m thinking of doing Junk Removal. Question : Did you get your lic. , insurance , LLC etc. right away ? Or did you wait for awhile? I hate to get all that done and not have it work out . I should include I’m 67 in two days and retired . I have three grandkids that would help me in their twenties. Because of this covid thing two of them lost their jobs , their always asking for work from me on my homestead. I’m getting a 12 ft. Dump trailer to pull with my F-150 4x4 to start off with , if anything I can use it on my homestead. Was going to get a 14 foot trailer but I think it might be too much for it after awhile. Thank you two I really enjoy your videos! God Bless 🙏
That’s awesome, we wish you luck. Check out out how to start a business series it will tell you how we did it.
ruclips.net/p/PLI_UYEfBMIsV88RwzodeNFgEi57nOqtOT
Definitely start after you get your paperwork in order. In most states your LLC is permanently in place so there is no reason to wait ❤️🔥
Hello from El Paso, TX.. what brand of dump trailer do you have & how easy is the maintenance on it. Wheel seals, greasing, hydraulic system, etc.
Can I pull a dump trailer with a 05 ram 2500
Thank! Great job!
How do you know what truck can pull a dump trailer
Google the spec for that specific truck it will tell you the towing capacity
I’m thinking of possibly doing something like this just to make some side money on the weekends. I already have a 2019 Ram 1500 just need a dump trailer. My question is how do you go about theft? I feel uneasy about leaving a brand new dump trailer at a customer location and come to find out it gets stolen. I know they make wheel locks and hitch locks but is that enough? Thanks.
Would love some insight on some of the tools you use. Especially when you go at a job alone. 🙏🏾✊🏾
this video talks about the tools we use ruclips.net/video/JNcuJX09yuM/видео.html
Ahhh. Awesome! Thanks! Love you guys and will continue to support! 🤙🏾
Awsome information thank you for sharing.
Thank for watching
Powercouple!!
thank you
How much did you charge at first for the utility trailer load ?
Awesome. Do you have any videos on how you advertised?
Yes, it’s called how to advertise for free
Question...say you have a customer when you first start out and you give them a crazy low price ( because you dont know any better) and they become repeat customers. How do you go about telling them you can no longer honor that price per truckload? Or do you keep them at what they were paying since they helped build you up?
I answered this in a video, Matt said he would slowly raise the price and explain to them.
Really like you guys videos. Can you make a video on how to bid loads. When biding do you keep in mind the dump fee?
Here is a link to a video that talks about pricing. Each place is different depending on your economy and your dump fees. Yes you always keep in mind the fees for dumping. Appliances and mattresses etc. cost more. ruclips.net/video/xUP_OYgjwJY/видео.html. Thanks for watching the videos.
What is the size of your trailer? Who's the maker? Where in Vacaville did you buy it?
12x8x4. One stop trailers in Vacaville
What size is your dump trailer? ... I’m curious because I have a tundra also
12x8x4
What Size Dump Trailer do you have?
I have the same truck 15 tundra. Im Curious to know what type of trailer you are pulling in this video
It’s a one stop trailer 12x8x4
@@SonomaStrong Awesome I'm trying to start something in the Fort Worth TX area
Love the videos! Very inspiring. I was wondering if you guys had advise or any videos explaining how you started getting clients or where you run ads? Building up clients seems like the hard part when starting. Thanks in advance! 🙏🏽
We have a video called how to advertise for free, we talk about this subject in lots of our videos, keep up posted. good luck
Hey! You previously mentioned living in an apartment. Where did you guys park your trucks during that time?
Busy streets, on the street, or park
What size is the dump trailer
I wonder if my 2001 suburban can pull a dump trailer
Probably tbh
Google the specks on your truck and see what it can tow

So I already have a big truck, 2020 GMC Sierra Denali 2500 diesel which is my personal vehicle i was able to afford from my current job. I was looking into purchasing a Gooseneck 20ft dump trailer from JP Trailer. Would you say thats a little too much to start off with as far a trailer?
It’s good to start with whatever you have. Good luck
I’m assuming over time u figure out about how much junk u have in weight wise to figure in ur dump fees. So when u go look at bidding a job and seeing what all needs to be hauled off u learn well this will be about 3 tons or 6 tons of junk so u figure that in on ur bid ?
Yes, the more jobs you do the more you learn. You will find that sweet spot where you live and discover what works for you.
Is that a 12ft or 14ft dump trailer? I have a tundra also, About to buy a dump trailer, just don't wanna get one to big for my truck....
The older tundra had a v6?? Or v8???
I would like to get into the junk removal business but I just don’t know if it’s a demanding job in South Georgia I don’t have much time to do research or try doing it on weekends because I’m not the road doing flatbed
It’s good to have a pretty large population in your area
Looking into starting a junk removal business to get out of my 9-5.

Do you have to register your truck as a commercial vehicle in order to pull that 12×8×4 for business purposes?

Once you have decals on your truck and your using your truck for business then you need a CDL
What size is that dump trailer?
Hi jojo happy new year what size dump trailer du you have , i have the same truck. 2008 5.7 thank you
12x8x4

Is there any legal things, like have them sign a agreement form to not mess up the trailer or stuff like that?
What size is your Hydraulic Dump Trailer and what's the brand?
12x8x4 one stop trailer
What's your worry with health insurance?
Whats the size of your dump trailer and how does your tundra handle it?
Is the tundra strong enough to pull it fully loaded without problem?
12x8x4. The tundra has no problem pulling it
hey im in santa rosa, been needing to make some money cause im a father now and i cant sit on my ass waiting to get a check.
Would a 2018 ram 1500 5.7 hemi do good with the dump trailer with the button? i used to work as an independent contractor (garage) i got customer experience and experience scheduling and hands on work, but Im procrastinating and watching RUclips for inspiration.
can i start to try it out without opening a new entity right away?
Great inspiration!! I’m starting too, what size is that utility trailer?
Utility trailer was 10x5
@@SonomaStrong 🙏
3:42 What about if I have the money to buy that dump trailer and a truck? why do start small?
It’s good to see if there is a need for this type of work in your area. It’s best to test the waters before putting in lots of money.
What do you think about 2017 tundra sr 4.6L? Is this enough to pull the dump trailer?
Go with the 5.7 liter
@@SonomaStrong Okay thank you for response!
