i was hoping to love this pattern, but it’s extremely confusing. i’ve crocheted for years and i still just don’t get it. i wish you wouldn’t just say “you should have got the hang of it by now” and then move on to the next row, because the bigger the granny square gets it looks different than the previous row and can get confusing trying to figure out where to place the corners. :/ spent over an hour just trying to make one because a lot of details were glossed over and then you’re already moving onto the next row. this is my second time redoing my first square and i give up. the heart part was super simple but you just go to fast and don’t explain very much
I would recommend learning the basic granny square before the heart granny square because it will help everything here make more sense :) Hope this helps!

hi! i’m having trouble figuring out where to put the last slip stitch to finish the heart, i keep restarting cause i’m not sure if i’m inserting it into the right stitch 😅 also how do we finish off the heart to get rid of the excess yarn
Hey so my hearts keep coming out rlly weird like one of the curves is longer than the other? And when i do the first 4 single crochets with the light brown color its cool but then i dont have another 4 to do? So im confused and stressed and sad. Any tips??
@@em1lka I think I need to learn the basic of crotchet like slip Stich and double crochet etc so I will be back watching this soon hopefully if I understand those 🫠😅
Yes that’s a good start! Here is a link to the Beginners Guide video I have on my channel ruclips.net/video/UZvj6gEg7pU/видео.html Here I go through what I consider the basics of crochet and I hope that it can help you.
Oh, I'm from Russia!! I like Western channels so much, but your channel is something with something, it's very cool! Tell me, will it look good from plush yarn?
Thank you so much! I’m glad you like my channel. Hm I think that plush yarn may make your project bigger but as for appearance I think that it should look good.
this is my first project and it started off so good with the heart then it kinda got blotchy and I didn't even have a square shape around. im gonna take a break and try again lol
I’ve made 20 hearts, followed the video for each one, they all look fairly uniform but now moved on to make the square and I don’t seem to t have enough stitches around the heart to accommodate the 1st round of the lighter colour. Thought I’d made it too small even though they all look the same and I followed the video each time, but it’s the same with the 1st 2 hearts I’ve tried?
Was the magic circle too hard for you? If so, there’s tons of tutorials for it! I’ll try to link some here. ruclips.net/video/p298HxgsO1s/видео.html ruclips.net/video/J7GHTfXaz2E/видео.html I had some trouble with it at first too, I had a crochet class though so I learned it pretty fast.
This is so cute!!! Does this bag hold its shape? I’m kinda scared of crotchet bags because I feel like they will stretch out after using them lol… Also, are you Polish (guessing by your name)?
Thank you! The condition of the bag will depend on how much you put in it, if it becomes very heavy then the strap might stretch a bit overtime but other than that I’d say you should definitely crochet a bag they’re so cute and worth it in my opinion🥰 and no I’m actually Lithuanian this is what I’m called by my family💓
when slip stitiching the squares together I did it very tightly, making it seem like an hourglass and very big compared the the seam. should I redo and make the stitches looser or will it turn out ok? thank you xoxo
If the squares are slipstitched too tightly together it can make them look uneven and bumpy which I know would bother me for sure, so if you’re okay with redoing the connecting part then I’d say go for it!

hi! i’m having trouble figuring out where to put the last slip stitch to finish the heart, i keep restarting cause i’m not sure if i’m inserting it into the right stitch 😅 also how do we finish off the heart to get rid of the excess yarn
I’m wondering the same!!!! I’m not sure how to finish off the heart
Is this bag made with sport or worsted? Love the pattern💕👍
Hey so my hearts keep coming out rlly weird like one of the curves is longer than the other? And when i do the first 4 single crochets with the light brown color its cool but then i dont have another 4 to do? So im confused and stressed and sad. Any tips??
First time trying to crochet a big thing without a set and I’m not a pro and kinda young so I hope it goes well 😭🫶
You’ll be fine! If you need any help I’m here😊🫶
@@em1lka I think I need to learn the basic of crotchet like slip Stich and double crochet etc so I will be back watching this soon hopefully if I understand those 🫠😅
Yes that’s a good start! Here is a link to the Beginners Guide video I have on my channel ruclips.net/video/UZvj6gEg7pU/видео.html Here I go through what I consider the basics of crochet and I hope that it can help you.
@@em1lka after three months I’ve learnt the basics of crocheting and yesterday I started crocheting this bag and finished it today!!!🎉❤
I'm planning to do this but in color green and white. Do you think white yarn (50grams) is enough? I will use green yarn on the handle.
Me at 13:40 taking apart all of my granny square bc I wasn’t chaining one bc she didn’t say to 😭😭 but it’s coming out cute so all love 💕
Really sorry about this if I could go back and add more detail to this video I would. I’m glad your work is coming along well though💓
Oh, I'm from Russia!! I like Western channels so much, but your channel is something with something, it's very cool! Tell me, will it look good from plush yarn?
Thank you so much! I’m glad you like my channel. Hm I think that plush yarn may make your project bigger but as for appearance I think that it should look good.
just finished mine!! thank u!!
Yayy no problem!💓
this is my first project and it started off so good with the heart then it kinda got blotchy and I didn't even have a square shape around. im gonna take a break and try again lol
I love you girl, thank u
no problem🥰🤍
I’ve made 20 hearts, followed the video for each one, they all look fairly uniform but now moved on to make the square and I don’t seem to t have enough stitches around the heart to accommodate the 1st round of the lighter colour. Thought I’d made it too small even though they all look the same and I followed the video each time, but it’s the same with the 1st 2 hearts I’ve tried?
I love it!
Thank you Katherine🤍
Heyaa!! Love this tutorial, making this bag for my sisters but with only 8 squares!! Just a quick question, can the button be completely optional??
Thank you❤️and yes the button is optional it just adds a bit more security for when you close the bag!
@@em1lka Awesome!! Thank you so much :)!! I ended up adding the button and it looks so cute!!
Wow great tutorial~! I wanna make this for my lil sis. Can i use a 5 ply milk cotton yarn for this?
Yes you can!
U are so sweet :)))) , Thank u 💞.
Thank you, as are you. No worries.💖
such a cute project i claws not able to follow the tutorial tho
Thank you! and aw why?
Was the magic circle too hard for you? If so, there’s tons of tutorials for it! I’ll try to link some here. ruclips.net/video/p298HxgsO1s/видео.html ruclips.net/video/J7GHTfXaz2E/видео.html I had some trouble with it at first too, I had a crochet class though so I learned it pretty fast.
just here to say that if your squares are perhaps to big you can do it 2x2 granny squares!
Thanks a lot ♥︎
helloo so at 12:10 we insert our hook on the back loop? or just the normal, two yarn(?) (i forgot what it's called)
Hii, yes in the back loop!
@@em1lka thank you so muchhh
This is so cute!!! Does this bag hold its shape? I’m kinda scared of crotchet bags because I feel like they will stretch out after using them lol… Also, are you Polish (guessing by your name)?
Thank you! The condition of the bag will depend on how much you put in it, if it becomes very heavy then the strap might stretch a bit overtime but other than that I’d say you should definitely crochet a bag they’re so cute and worth it in my opinion🥰 and no I’m actually Lithuanian this is what I’m called by my family💓
hiii i love this bag so much. i’m making it right now :))) for the heart do you know how many total stitches there are supposed to be
new subscriber!! im going to try to do this when i get my yarn. i hope i can do it
when slip stitiching the squares together I did it very tightly, making it seem like an hourglass and very big compared the the seam. should I redo and make the stitches looser or will it turn out ok?
thank you xoxo
If the squares are slipstitched too tightly together it can make them look uneven and bumpy which I know would bother me for sure, so if you’re okay with redoing the connecting part then I’d say go for it!
I couldn't do what is this, I literally want to cry, I want a very simple explanation for beginners, I couldn't make that.
thanks so muchh!!!
