Hi Skill, I am marking the WT right now and after being stuck at 87% I changed the Equipment: Rotating Mechanism, Konfig (Experimental Hardening planned), Experimental Turbo. Since the gun is absolutely sugar, the buff on mobility (and not loosing the engine with every first hit) really helps me in those fast games with retreating / following the train. So far at 90.5% and climbing. Due to config I even felt confident enough to switch Fire extinguisher to Rations.

That last game was very important to show IMHO. For the longest time I have been among the top of the game rankings, but lately it's more common than ever to go from a High Caliber game to a game where you have ZERO/and or end up in the bottom 5. Alot of it has to do with these all too common landslide battles.
I'm so glad you brought up how hard it can be to play paper TDs in the current state of the game. And on top of that with the new map changes (I'm looking at you Mountain Pass and Studzianki) and new maps being added that are corridor/hull down and benefit Heavies its incredibly hard to be consistent with tanks like this.
This tank was so good I never bothered with the Grille.
After about a month I sold the grille and bought this tank back 😂
by far my favorite tank in the game. fully pimped/crew'd and it can be a beast 9 out of 10 battles. you need to have map awareness, know spotting mechanics and how to work bushes/cover though. not for a new player imo. the negatives are manageable if you can think ahead a bit during a battle. 3 marked it, and as a person who never ever 2 keys for extra pen, i think thats a feat in itself. dont over look the great standard pen on this TD. yes zero armor, but people respect and fear the guns, so you can brawl a bit if its late game and u have the hp. mbe the best f2p tech tree tank in the game imo.
now that ive written all this, im sure WG will nerf it....

Taking pride in not using FREE amunition which is just better in almost every possible way (penetration, muzzle velocity and trajectory in many cases) is beyond stupid imo. Why would you hinder yourself with inferior equipment, I truly have trouble understanding this trend. Maybe because I have 4000 overall wn8 and 4.5-6k recents, I have a different approach than sunday warriors of divine purity and justice.
This is a pure support tank. I play a lot of those. Two things can go wrong: you can get a battle where your team doesn't need any support, like battle #3, or you can get a team that can't be supported. Or you can get a supportable team, and the sun shines. Or, if a zero-dmg game is in the offing, you can always spend your hit points and get a shot or two that way. At least that's what I do if required. Those 0 games just kill your MOE.
This shows how much Wargaming are biased in favour of tanks with armour and against tanks without armour. Actually, the problem is not lack of armour, the problem is lack of suitable maps for tanks without armour. And with every map changed/update this has been getting worse over the last 3 years or so....
Thank you for showing the last game. I looked at the map and set up and thought you'd have trouble doing anything but never saw you getting completely blanked.

another good point of the smaller gun is the gun elevation whenfiring backwards. the big gun can't elevate as high as the small gun
WG is trying to make these tanks obsolete with their map changes. Heavy tanks drive into position with zero risk and decide the game by killing the entire flank, and then sniping TDs get to farm a little bit of damage after the game is already over. It's gross but this is WoT in 2023.

I absolutely love playing this bad boy. I play it very aggressively about 60% of the time and do some very bad things to the enemy. Once you learn you can do a backwards peekaboo attack from a rock or building it's so much fun.
I think this thing can be played very good aggressively as well because it has a turret. Just poke out when it's safe and punish enemies. Usually they think your stupid for playing in city and underestimate you
I know it is more work but it would be very funny to add QB equipment setup to the list on the index page.

If you need a TD to complete any mission regarding damage, the Waffle is one of the best tds to do so. An absolute beauty of a tank destroyer.

Grille 15 need second gun to choose 128mm with 9.5-10 sec base reload and 1.9s aim time and we will option dpm or alpha

LOL, in the third, I dare say, the only thing you messed up was not to cap as soon it was save to.
I really prefer the Wafflec*ock over the Grille, gun handling, fully rotatable turret, shell velocity, DPM... but I think that grille is better for the current WoT games.
The extra speed that grille has allows you to act fast when the enemy team is melting to get some extra damage.
Last game gave me St. Emil vibe

In your third game with 0 damage and assistance you still got more XP than any other enemy. Seems legit
In the last game, you should be in the heavy line ! I know it sounds counterintuitive, but it's was the best bet , but again, who am I to give advice for the mighty skill

For me it's also the same. Some maps are really bad for this TD line, these fast 5-15 games do the rest. For me the whole line is one of the most inconsistent in the last few months. Borsig for example is either 5k dmg or a little over 1k. Might be the case that I'm not the best player with like 53%wr and 2200 wn8 recent but they feel like such a coinflip
Cant help myslef but the gun from Borsing which you start with is super unreliable ... fully aimed cross and fails me so often ... do you have same expirience ?

The reality of world of tanks. If you are not in a heavy that plays hulldown you will get games like these. Enemy leming trains and you never even get to shoot anything or your team either abandons 3 quarters of the map or the enemy is just better and its a low score even for a skilled player.
Is skill color blind?
Redshire Assault is BS map. Only chance you have to win as attacker is when enemy team is completely stupid and won't take dip with trees. But at tier 8-10 it never happens. Why they didn't do something with this map is mystery to me. Win ratio must be far from 40:60 you mentioned. Closer to 80:20 from my experience.

Day 9 of asking for chaffee
This tanks seens to have an useable APCR but it loss of penetration is abismal: it falls from 352 at 100m to 295mm at 500m.
Presentation: "Perfect sniper"; reality: first shot fully aimed was a miss.
German tank tier IX 420hp and zero armor (16,7hp/ton). Russian tank tier IX 1100hp and more than 300mm of armor(18.7hp/ton). This is what Wargaming says to be a good balancing.
This vehicle gun depression has any sense. Why hasn't it good gun depression? No reason. Why the turret turns so slowly. German vehicles are shit. The accuracy is shit too and the gun handling the same.
Which is the compensation for these vehicles for being penned by HE? No compensation. These vehicles are unbalanced, are underpowered.
Check your affirmation: it is a sniper. When it should snipe from far it just missed. It is not a good vehicle period; This because it can't do reliably what it should be made to do.
These vehicles nees better gun depression, better penetration with all amunition, better gun handling, better mobility, better turret turn speed and better accuracy.
Another stat that nobody says is breaking power. German vehicles have shit breaking power. They waist a long time to stop. The other absurd are its high terrain resistance totally out of this world. The vehicle has worse terrain resistance than vehicles with double of its weight. And how a vehicle with 10 times more armor has only double its weight. Something is wrong on wargaming projects.
