25 years today since Alan departed. A fabulous musician gone too soon. His memory and music will live on forever. God bless you Alan. Thank you for the music.
My most favourite musician Beautiful songs beautiful voice We miss you Alan If we do go somewhere after this mortal coil, I want to meet, shake your hand, and just say thank you.
Yes thank you Alan for me tears and laughter listening to your wonderful songs. For me the best British songwriter of the last fifty years. RIP Mr Songman
RIP ALAN !!!!!
Great find, Johnners. This song isn't about praising Columbus. It's so much more, there isn't time to go into it. I guess you either get it or you don't. I played this, very shakily, at Heroes & Scarcrows in 2005. Such a long time ago. Such a beautiful song.
God, I miss this man. ❤
Brilliant song - one of my many favourites.

Something special happens when Alan hull sings his songs are very special
Despite his problems, Alan was Lindisfarne. Others contributed, but he always was the core!

Such a wonderful song writer. he died WAY too young.

Kind of weird to sing so wonderfully about such a horrible man. (Columbus)
