    I really liked the video, soothing music, designer explains things well as she goes, colors great together. Honestly, I am not sure I like most of the flowers on one side and hardly none on the other. It makes it look just a little to off balance. Overall, nice video.

    Kiana, when using foliages like the mini-oaks or cotinus, do you have a comment on the longevity of such an arrangement before those start to loose their bounce??? Any special prep you prefer for woody stems with foliage like those?

    • @Tulipina
      @Tulipina  4 года назад +3

      Well, it depends on when they were originally cut, whether they have been recut, and how often the water is changed. In general, while I mostly design for weddings (where arrangements only need to last a couple of days), I find that the woody varieties tend to last quite long - several days depending upon the species. Hope this helps.

    Are all the flowers reaching the water??? Isn’t a problem that we have flowers in our arrangements that need different quantities of water??

    do have oasis in the vase or just water?

  • @CATRIFACIA1

    What happens with the leaves that are in the water?

    • @leslieoscar
      @leslieoscar 3 года назад +1

      They spoil faster than the ones that are not in the water - eventually spoiling the water faster which will affect the life span of the entire arrangement. If you can, it's best to remove any that will end up in the water before inserting into your arrangement. If however, you're doing this kind of an arrangement for a wedding or party on the day of the event, there's no need to worry; nothing will spoil within that amount of time.

    Stunning... but are they in water? Or was this jus to show how to put it together....

    • @Tulipina
      @Tulipina  5 лет назад +2

      Yes, they are all in water. The vase is quite full. When stems won't reach, water tubes can be used.

    • @dianaburke3521
      @dianaburke3521 Год назад

      Sometimes when stems are perfect for the space but not long enough to reach the water the designer we’ll use a water tube🤗

    Very beautiful, how would you transport this?

    • @leslieoscar
      @leslieoscar 3 года назад +1

      It's best to do this kind of work on site - at the wedding or party, but I have managed to move things like this with a milk crate stuffing any empty spaces between the crate and urn with whole rolls of paper towels or rolled up bubble wrap, scrunched up newspaper or a person in the van to hold it in place during transport.

      I didn't forage for this arrangement, but foraging is something that I do quite often.

    • @Tulipina
      @Tulipina  6 лет назад +8

      Thank you. All of my designs are asymmetric - in a more natural, garden style than "traditional" floral design, so more flowers on one side is definitely the intention.

      If you notice, Keana is creating an organic and wild aesthetic. She is using the crescent shape in this specific arrangement. the flowers follow the main outline of the crescent shape to guide the eye. This is precisely why her arrangements are so unqiue and unforgettable
