Funny story. We were going to flip our mattress. I had forgotten that I had stashed some paper pads under the mattress. Try explaining that to your husband and friends. They were all on my side of the bed so no sleepless nights to husband. And yes, I continue to stash them under the mattress. Keeps them flat. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
When I love the design on a washi tape, but it gets old, I just rub it in my hands a bit to warm and loosen the glue, then I use a bit of glue stick to stick it in a forever spot.
What I really appreciate about this project is that it uses cheap one-sided paper. There are a lot of videos using one-sided paper out there and it is nice to see ideas designed with one side in mind.
6x6 paper pads, Lol! I have an addiction too because they are so inexpensive. The trouble is I may like 3 out of the 5 or 6 designs in each pad.😬 These ideas are great. TFS ❤ Sticky scissors...do you have one of the square rubbery glue erasers? It works on scissors, honestly, Cat Hand showed us once and I've used it ever since. 👍
Thank you so much Margreth, I really really enjoyed watching you creating all these amazing and beautiful pieces for our journal’s. I really really love ❤️ each and everyone of them too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤
Love your "teaching videos". I am one of the people who has not actually taken the plunge to use all the pile of stuff I am saving for journals. I have to tell you about a tool I got today. The local thrift store saves all the knives (kitchen knives) donated to them and I take them away. Some I sell but most I do something else with. There is a knife in this lot that is a sort of carver or bread knife with a serrated edge. But the edge is not evenly serrated and is more like a deckle-edge tearing ruler. The blade it is maybe 9" long. It works great as a tearing ruler! I love the junk journal fun! 💗💗💗
so - funny fact. I did not in fact have the crafting pads of 6X6 paper - I DID however have a LOT of 6X6 origami paper - worked like an absolute GEM..... I just found you and LOVE your stuff.
Lovely ideas for using up old stash!!!!! For easy removal of sticky residue on scissors … or your cutting mats… or anywhere in our craft rooms 😂 … I buy box of small alcohol swabs /wipes (little individual packet) and they work fantastic!!!!!!! They are cheap and can be purchased at any pharmacy /chemists.
There are Glue Erasers - a hard rubbery type of thing, rub it in the same direction each time (not back and forward) and the sticky will come off. It won't evaporate or expire like some other products can. I use it to clean my craft scissors often.
I have so much beautiful 12x12 scrapbook paper with white on the back - I loved your ideas and have made a few things already. I hope you do more videos with journal ideas for one-sided scrapbook paper. Thank you!
Just started journaling and was overwhelmed @ first until I made some of your pockets step by step. It has provided me with more confidence in the art of journaling...Thank you for sharing. Ottawa, Canada
I'm not a beginner but I hadn't seen some of these being made before so I thought this was fun. A definite can do and will do. Today. Thanks for your lovely bright attitude and frn
Hi, what a wonderful video. I never want them to end. I also have tons of 6x6 paper pads. I just keep hoarding them because they're too pretty to use. You gave us great ideas i can't wait to try. They're so pretty. Tfs and have a wonderful weekend. 💖
New to your channel! I have to admit I too have an addiction to scrapbook paper. You have provided some awesome ideas here. Can't wait to try! Also, you explain things very well! And Goo Gone is a great product and pretty pungent in the smelling of oranges. But I like another viewers idea of the alcohol swab pads. 👍❤🇺🇲
Fell in love with this tutorial. Please do more like them. Ohhh & maybe some with 12x12 paper would be lovely ☺️ Thank you for sharing your lovely ideas! Love & kisses from Greece 👋👋👋❤️
Interesting, so many people talk about 6x6 pads, but I rarely see them?? Thanks for the awesome review, I always learn something from your inspirations! 🤗❤️
I use "Undo" instead of Goo Gone. It doesn't have that oily orange smell. It's also as a smell, but it dissipates quick. To me it smells like lighter fluid (and it is flamable), but it's removes the adhesive fast.
Great tutorial - thank you very much. By the way, you can use nail varnish remover (with acetone) to clean sticky scissors. I decant some into a small bottle which I keep in my craft box along with some cotton facial pads. Also, putting sticky tapes in microwave DOES work to restore stickyness. On a 700w microwave try 10-15 seconds on small rolls, and 20-30 seconds on larger rolls.
Marsha Spykerman: I’ve been junk journaling 8 months now and still learning. These pockets and envelopes are just a great reminder for me that simple can be beautiful, especially with washi tape! Love you and your channel. Thanks for your amazing ideas! And sharing them!
These are great ideas and will knock a large hole in my 6x6 stash. As I don't have any washi tape I'll decorate any plain white parts with some suitable stamping before gluing it all together. Many thanks for the inspiration!
These 6X6 paper pads would be perfect for making those tall skinny Journals with 18 pockets like what you made the other day. The one that Eva from Bohemian Arts inspired you to make. I have to go look for my 6X6. We all have them. Lol
I use rubbing alcohol to clean sticky stuff off my scissors it works great and dries really quickly. Great ideas to use up my 6 x 6 paper pads. thanks for sharing. Stay well, hugs from USA
Goo-gone is a citrus terpene and petroleum distillate product. I have gotten it in the household products aisle and in the automotive product area. It removes road tar, sticker adhesive, etc. Perhaps you can find something similar in the Netherlands that does the same thing? If it doesn't smell as orangey as Goo-Gone, you might add a drop or two of orange essential oil! 😁 Love your channel!!!
You gave some good advice. I went from being an hoarder of makeup and skincare to being an hoarder of craft supplies for junk journaling. I made my first junk journal last year. I have yet to complete another one but I have several in the making. This video has inspired me to mass make some envelopes for gifts for Mother’s Day which is right around the corner 🙂💜
When you are punching thin papers, your punch will not punch as well, try putting another piece of paper into the punch with the thin paper and you should get a better punch. Loving your videos everyday!
Peanut butter works almost as well as Goo Gone on sticky residue. ;) Just smear it on, let it sit overnight, and wipe it off. I enjoy your channel! My husband lived in the Netherlands for a few years as a little boy.
Just found you today and made 2 of these projects already. Great ways to use up 6 x 6's. Thank you for sharing your fun projects and love your happy disposition. I'm looking forward to watching more of your tutorials. Watching all the way from Australia 🙂 Do you happen to have a tutorial on the pin with the beads?
Oh I love this idea! My stash of 6 x 6 and ( 12 x 12) scrapbook paper pads in ridiculous! It’ll be nice to utilize them instead of collecting dust! You might try a tiny bit of vegetable or olive oil on a paper towel to clean glue off scissors. Thank you so much for sharing! 💖
Margreth, I have a paper addiction myself. I have tons and loads of papers. 6 X 6, 8X 8, & 12 X 12 pads. Lots in cool colors. Love that you get several designs and come out with useable ephemera. Yay!!!💜💜💜
Love how you used washi tape as an under-layer behind the notches on the tag pockets. What a great idea! I have a lot of one-sided scrapbook paper and this is such a good way to accent it.

Great advice for a newbie like me, thanks x

Yes Goo Gone is great but I still use rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer.😂 Love this project. You must have read my mind this morning.
👍🏻😊

Peanut butter works almost as well as Goo Gone on sticky residue. ;) Just smear it on, let it sit overnight, and wipe it off.
I enjoy your channel! My husband lived in the Netherlands for a few years as a little boy.
Ah yes , the peanut butter trick. My mom used that to get chewing gum out of my hair when I was little 😂😘👍🏻
@@SevenplazaCreative Fortunately, I have never had to use it on that! 😂
