I have always wondered how exactly they furled and unfurled the sails of the Black Pearl. I’ve tried to find videos for it but couldn’t find any. I don’t know how you can help me with this but I’d definitely appreciate if you can :))))
I’m not 100% (95% maybe) certain but I believe Maltese Falcon built by American Tom Perkins was the first mega yacht to sport that mast and sail furling system.
@Feel the Breeze family well thanks for the answer but it is still not clear for me. When the sails are fully open there seems to be no connection to furl them in. And it is very awkward that there is not a single video on how they do it. Well thanks anyway:)))

The principle is coming from the Newspaper Industry, so I imagine a roll in a vertical position.
