Best viewed in 60 fps (only available on HTML5 player). I'm player 1 and Mark is player 2. This is a very difficult game, so we lost a countless amount of lives.
I like how when Alex and Stella die at the same time one of them waits for the other to finish their scream before doing their own. 21:19 Well, I suppose Stella had nothing to lose.
I love how they come back to life directly underneath the other player, so that one is standing on the other's head. Good trick if you can do that in real life!
I like Stella’s voice when she die’s if only she was in the original game of Alex Kidd And The Lost Stars, I would definitely be playing as her. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀.
Are you for real? I just found out this arcade port existed in this form, and it's miles ahead of the SMS version. Why did the SMS version take out the ability to ATTACK enemies!? Such a basic need in a platformer, and here I find that it's very much a thing in the arcade version. Colour me shocked.
Huh? The SMS did have the ability to attack enemies if you get the power-up for it, just like the arcade version, where it's only a temporary power-up as well.
+Jarrah White This is the original arcade version, which as far as I know wasn't rereleased on anything else. Only the Master System version is on Virtual Console.
Maybe it's just me- but does the music starting at 2:56 sound a bit like Green Grove Zone from Sonic 3D Blast on the Genesis at all to anyone else? Especially at 3:22 ?
The first game YUTAKA SUGANO helped design, before creating SHINOBI and CRACK DOWN. He probably decided where a lot of the enemies and power-ups show up while KBY (HIROTSUGU KOBAYASHI?) did most of the conceptual stuff.
@@mateomeza1278 True. And what made this situation even worse is that Sega didn't even make the Master System version of Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars accessible in new gen consoles. The only modern release of the Master System version of the Lost Stars(As far as I'm aware) is on the Wii Virtual Console. And the Wii Shop Channel closed down ever since 2019, so it's no longer possible to buy it anymore. The Arcade version of the Lost Stars is easily the best version of the game and it sucks that one hasn't got a re-release, even in recent gen Consoles. But even the Master System version is shit out of luck these days in terms of official re-releases. Sega seriously needs to work on re-releasing this game recently and Sega Ages service was literally their perfect chance.
Just a friend, I think. Alex has an unnamed girlfriend in Shinobi World, a blonde girl in a pink dress whose long hair covers both of her ears. However, since that game is a parody of the original Shinobi, I don't know if she's canon.
I guess Sega thought the arcade version was too difficult, so for the Master System version they replaced the limited lives and one-hit kills with unlimited lives and a vitality meter. Unfortunately that made the Master System version too easy. The Master System version also lacks a co-operative two player mode. It's too bad Sega didn't do a better job with the Master System version of The Lost Stars, because it along with Alex Kidd: High-Tech World did damage to the reputation of the Alex Kidd series.
@@Ginormousaurus Enchanted Castle also killed the series as well at least in the critical standpoint. It got lot of poor reviews. I think Miracle World and Shinobi World are the only successful Alex Kidd games.

By one side it's awesome,it's so lovely, but too there's a screen field to be considered
I never thought I'd ever gain respect for this game. But the arcade version looks pretty good
Looks better than the Master System version.
It took me years to realize that what Alex Kidd is actually saying when you insert a coin is "the customer is king".
That's what I thought he said but it seemed so random and unrelated to the game that I thought it was something else
"Aaaah!!! Daaaaah!!!"

It's actually a good thing that it is so easy to die in this game, because the death sounds are hilarious! XD

Marc Moore I can hear it at 3:22.
Well, Alex Kidd was SEGA's mascot, so it's totally possible they reused the bit of the music for Green Grove later on
I kinda hear a little bit of Spring Stadium Act 2 at 0:24
I wonder if they have the same composer

Even arcade "Chinese hero" about screaming sounds when punching and hopping

I'm surprised Sega didn't release this game on Sega Ages by now. They should port it on Sega Ages though, looks cool and fun.
@Keith Courage RX-78-2 I checked it up online. Really cool, but very expensive though.
They should port the arcade version.
@@mateomeza1278 Of course. Between the Master System version and the Arcade version of this game, the Arcade version is superior.

Amaba jugar este juego con mi hermano menor, pareciera ayer que lo ganamos y ya pasaron más de 15 años (lo teníamos en el MAME 32)
Alex Kidd has an Arcade game.. whoa... I didn't know that.. I played on both MD and MS... but now I know.

This version needs to be ported to Genesis with SGDK with graphics and sound closer to this one.
