Not every house has damp in Ireland. It does rain a lot but not constantly raining. Did you get the house surveyed before buying? Some ridiculous comments in my opinion...

Loved Ireland but couldn't get over, as an American , driving on the wrong side of the road

It's the correct side. Just because its different to Yanks doesn't make it wrong.

Wow! If you couldn't handle driving on the OPPOSITE side of the road, I'm guessing the metric system must have been like nuclear physics for an American. 🙄

Didnt learn much about Ireland where I am right now. Alot about the book she wants to sell. I am staying in an old farm house beside a large lake and not far from the Atlantic Ocean. No problem with rising damp or just dampness. Sorry, wont be buyimg her book.

What whingy negative people?????????? they would moan no matter where they would go. Ireland is frequently recognised as one of the best places in the world to live ( see UN QUALITY OF LIFE INDEX). It is insanely beautiful and the people are unique in their friendliness and community spirit. I wish your guests the best of luck but amglad they are taking their negativity elewhere.

All these Americans with romantic notions about Ireland should thank Senator Tom Cotton for making it difficult for them he was the only senator that voted against the E3visa bill that would have made it easier for Irish to live in America and Americans to live in Ireland.

@@Lugermorph1497 Wait a minute dude!!! Who is it that is employing the most people in Ireland? Who is contributing more to the Irish economy than the E.U. Who is that is giving a lot of Irish people above average income? It's the GOOD OLD U.S.A. And unlike the pennies you got from the E.U. to build a couple of motorways the American companies are not forcing you to take in a million foreigners to destroy your country. You should put a red carpet out to all Americans that either visit of want to live in Ireland. I am the last person that supports foreigners coming to live in Ireland with one or two exceptions and in my opinion the Yank's are always welcome to our shores.
