Amazing!! My dad used to watch them when he was a child and told me how beautiful they were . And now I got the chance to see one by myself... Thank you.for your video.
Fantastic. Loved the wooden yoke and trim wheel, plus the air release as the center engine throttles to idle and sets the wheel brakes, sounds like a turbodiesel truck
Black peoples is only in urban areas...villages have more children and don't race mixing... In towns one or two max and mixing a lot, lose identity, drogs, crime... easy to control, no food no territory rebellion, eventually disappear and country side fills up negative demography
Testing the brakes work before landing. The center engine below idle position applies brake to each wheel via compressed air from bottles. You can hear the hiss of the air as the handle is moved.
that's wonderful, thank you! Very interesting how aeroplanes of this late 'thirties vintage go about flying. I've seen a video of a Blenheim in New Zealand. The same sort of comfortable thrum of the motors, the wind noise, the whole feeling is that the craft is very happy in the air, very friendly. People think 'antiquated' or 'primitive' but they were actually very good at their job. Superb to see them alive and well!
This thing would land in a potato field if necessary . The potatoes - cut by the propellers and fried by the engines' heat - would then be served to the passengers.
I love the two sharp objects in front of the pilot's knees (rudder pedals?). Certainly an incentive to do everything nicely with no sudden decelerations!
Those are handles to adjust tension on the rudder pedals to help the pilot in an engine out scenario. It is basically rudder trim so they don't have to hold the rudder in an engine out.

Good question! The JU-52 had thrust levers that also operated as brake system when you pulled them back below a certain point. If you look closely the writing on the lever says "BREMSEN" which means "brakes" and in smaller letters on the top and downside it says "AUF" (open) and "ZU" (closed). Since the planed used a pneumatic braking system I guess what he was doing was priming the pneumatic cylinders that operate the brakes for landing.
