I kinda prefer the videos with a slower pace. the shots can breathe and the viewer can take it in better. It’s part of the vibe I love about the channel.
Commenting during ad play for ya😊 I love the way you cut opals. I’ve tried to watch others, but none are as entertaining, knowledgeable, you have a versatile mind that allows you to recognize mistakes & learn from them. I love how you explain things to us as if we’ve never done it (for those of us who haven’t) while still being technical enough to educate gem cutters. You are a blessing to the internet! ✨💖✨
Watching your wins and losses, and things just turning out right when you think all is lost is just the kind of hope a lot of people out here can use these days. Thanks Justin. Your words are as meaningful as what you've done for the world with your teaching on opal.
Justin, gotta tell ya thanks for these vids! I never thought I'd get hooked on opal cutting. No other gem could be so exciting to watch reveal itself. I'm a disabled vet who doesn't get out like I used to. So finding channels like yours is special. I like visual arts channels like acrylic/resin pours, woodworking, and even pond builds. My service dog also like your vids/voice and joins me although he could care less on the visual aspect, it;s your voice (ASMR). I watch your playlists a lot at night as I fall asleep. From Indy with appreciation, TANX!
Wow I really thought the entire piece was ate up with sand and inclusions ! Sure am glad to were able to pull some magic out of your hat and get those gemstones. Happy for you Justin 😊👍
Not to shabby there Justin. Outcome was absolutely stunning. Who would have thought that amazing stone would have come from that rough. You would that’s who. Your are a master at your craft. 😊
I am amazed at your confident mastery of this potch-marked piece & finding the beauty in the stone, I would've agonized over it & only dare to pick away the potch a tiny bit at a time
You've done it again Justin. 👏..I would've absolutely lost my marbles trying to cut that. INCREDIBLE...I see you got a new felt wheel too.😁 As always, I love watching your videos. Always impressed.
That was just crumbling away. You didn't give up and it rewarded you with a really nice looking gem. That had to have been a good feeling when it finally started cleaning up and revealing what was hidden under the garbage.
Justin, I must say this had me worried, I’d say the toughest one yet! Wow It turned out as a beautiful Black opal! It was a great learning experience. Thank you, Leo 🎉
There you go again!! Making a masterpiece. I have always wanted to see Australia and if I ever do (not likely but can dream) I will have to pay you a visit.
Justin that was a perfect peice to teach your son how to carve with. Grayson is a lot like his grandfather and has potential to be a great carver mate.
Sand inclusions on nice colour agggggg lol. Master cutter Justin indeed making something from what appeared 2 be nothing come on 'stone talk 2 me' , nice work indeed. I pick up on your subtly included philosophy on life like Kelly and her husband as in the about 2 be opened new shop where the dollar shop once was ,the ridge has always been like a magnet attracting those that understand , but I digress have been told I do so on occasions. Drop down to the BBQ outside the bank on Thursday Ann and Bevins Opal FM have taken the griddle over from Bev, worry not he is well just not up 2 what he and Ann have done for the last 26 years .
Wow that turned out pretty good. With your experience i would of doubted there would be something but geeze i didnt want that sand to go all the way thru
Thank you Justin for sharing this with me ! I would rather that the video was a little slower pace ! I watch your videos to relax a little after a long day on the farm here in Kansas !
The only thing I would add to any of your videos is the name of the pattern in each gem. I know you often do, but I still can’t seem to tell them apart. Maybe because my eyes are dazzled!
I was thinking that it could've been cut apart in the beginning to save as much of it as possible. To me it seems by sanding everything away you waste and lose the smaller ones that could've been used for rings or earrings or something. I mean when it's gone it's gone, but it's all good, what did turn out looks sweet. Thanks again.
I think the sand just said “Beaten by Justin.” Well done sir.
Too good! 🤣
@blackopaldirect will you sell the junk sand slabs and hunks as a novelty rock.
I kinda prefer the videos with a slower pace. the shots can breathe and the viewer can take it in better. It’s part of the vibe I love about the channel.
Noted!
I second that!!
You can slow the video down to the speed you like.@@amberandrews6842
I agree
I have to agree with you on a slower pace is more relaxing to me also !
I’ve never seen one so messy with sand. I love your little philosophical spin on things.
Thank you Steph
Truly the Bob Ross of Opal cutting

Its very nice!
I am amazed at your confident mastery of this potch-marked piece & finding the beauty in the stone, I would've agonized over it & only dare to pick away the potch a tiny bit at a time
From such an unrepentant stone to a real stunner! And those deep purple flash spots!! WOW!! Only you Maestro.

You've done it again Justin. 👏..I would've absolutely lost my marbles trying to cut that. INCREDIBLE...I see you got a new felt wheel too.😁 As always, I love watching your videos. Always impressed.
Beautifully colored stone.
That was just crumbling away. You didn't give up and it rewarded you with a really nice looking gem. That had to have been a good feeling when it finally started cleaning up and revealing what was hidden under the garbage.
That was very special to watch.
Justin smacks it again.
Great result

Look out, I'm going to. 😂 Always a pleasure watching you work Justin.
The colors in the large gem are my favorite combination; the purple, greens, blues make it perfect to me.
You've done a great job despite the sand. It looks marvelous.💙
Thank you! Cheers!
