    Congratulations! I struck out on my first attempt as well. I forced my non-birding spouse to watch your first video to help him understand the feelings of dejection and frustration of missing a major bird. You guys really nailed the ups and downs of a major chase like this!

    I dipped on my first attempt at a bean goose too. There hasn’t been one close to chase yet. Something to look forward to. Glad you got it!

    It's a lot easier to scan through waterfowl if you're not solely reliant on your camera. It's time to start using binoculars! 😏

    CONGRATS! After scoring the Pink-footed Goose in Kentucky, I was really wanting to make the drive to Iowa for this goose, and now I want to make the long drive to eastern Pennsylvania for the Barnacle Goose. I've got goose fever here in Michigan! #wildgoosechase

    So happy for you! Finding a bird that's been eluding you is so fantastic. We finally saw a Great Horned Owl at a NWR that everyone but us seem to be seeing. We actually saw two. A sleepy adult keeping its eye on a first year juvenile. I love me my bird nerd peeps.

    It seems this goose is really rare in the US. In my area (North germany) you can find it quite often im wintertime. The pink footed geese is more rare here. Well done guys. Greets Stefan

      @@brandonriley296 Ruddy Turnstones are infrequent but I’ve had them at McKinley Beach. Bradford Beach may have some cool stuff but it will probably have a bunch of people on it. Lake Park nearby is great for warblers and other species. The whole Lakefront should be good for ducks! Other areas further south to check would be Lakeshore State Park, Warnimount Park and Grant Park. A little further from the coast, Wehr Nature Center is really cool too!
