Ok gp gasmask scp
Civvie you’re definitely in my top 5 of all time with dunkey and a few others. Every niche I’ve ever had has seemed to be explored here either through coincidence or maybe we just grew up similarly but I love your channel man. Keep it up
That's why I liked Dusk so much: No upgrade system, no other questionable modern game mechanics/systems/elements. Just raw straight gameplay. Jump'n'kill until it's done
Hup
Im good at dusk, completely owned some noobs in mp
Bro I rewatched this because of looking for new games to play. Legit felt my heart skip a beat when I got the reference of the chicken in the crib. Just saw that scene in M.A.S.H. earlier this week so only now does it resonate, didn't think a video game equivalent of butt rock would put that scene back in my mind and nearly make me cry. Damnit civvy why do you have to have good taste in shows and games, I come here to escape hard emotions and turn my brain off.
I think that Agent 64 game is more of a Perfect Dark clone because of the hud and weapons, but Perfect Dark was already a Golden Eye clone.
i was disappointed with how slow that one looked. considering if you ever play goldeneye on a pc emulator you can speed through it like a quake game
If A=B, and B=C, then A=C.
Surprised when he was talking about Selaco and that he continued to mention the F.E.A.R. comparisons, he never once mentioned Trepang2 which is a very obvious homage to F.E.A.R. in every sense of the word.
A little too much it's becoming
I thought forgive me father was good, so there! Great time to be a fan of shooters though hope the bubble don't burst soon. Great vid CV11.
Loving the roundup format. A brief glance at each of these games is just about right.
Katie's back! And so are the pun protocols. It's a good day to live on the surface as an ostensibly free man.
A MASH reference in a game that is a reference to another game that’s about internet tech from over twenty years ago. Great work Civvie
Love starting my week off with a Civvie video!
Thank you for continuing to make these.
They make my day every time I see you have a new video out.
Well, Selaco is going on my list, because I loved F.E.A.R. and definitely would enjoy something in that vein.
I involuntarily bit my lip when Civvie showcased the Turbo Overkill music
Kind of surprised Civie never checked out Brigand: Oaxaca. Interesting story and gameplay. Has the feeling of a Deus Ex style but in a totally different enviroment
I'm surprised and sad he never took at peek at Ashes. Maybe because Vostyok doesn't advertise it as a standalone game, even though it totally is.
@@DinnerForkTongue Oh yeah! Ashes really deserves more attention.
He should Def check that out
The more I watch Civvie, the angrier I get.
Why the fuck did it take me so long to start playing indie retro shooters like these, I could've been having so much more fun playing video games.
Damn you, Civvie, for showing me what I've been missing in my life!
Have the final boss in a fashion-themed boomer-shooter style game be Hugo Boss works on far too many levels. Absolutely inspired.
Okay...the cancer mouse gag and reaction got me along with Hammer catching the MASH reference. Thanks Civvie! Keep it up! I already wishlisted and played a couple of these solely from your video.
"lately, I've been playing free Steam demos" - Civvie
"lately, I've managed to get a single Phased Plasma Rifle (Terminator) MOD to work in regular DOOM" - Me
Happy Late 4th Civvie! ^-^
The Iggy Mix vs Bowie Mix bit, is still to this day, the funniest means of ever avoiding copyright claim on this site
I'm kind of surprised civvie wasn't a big fan of forgive me father. I kind of thought a review of it would be inevitable
FMF feels like a student project. Wolfenstein 3D had more complex shooting mechanics and levels.
It looks like a cheap knockoff of Void Bastards with an edgier setting.
Looks like Borderlands if it was made in the late 90s
Everything you say is like if you're just trying your best to be serious and fair but deep down you're just smiling through the entire video. You're losing your mind over how some of these games exist, and even if something as supposedly nonfunctional as Slayers X should be, you found so much enjoyment and reward in playing something so surprisingly fun to you.
Honestly, your production values went from jpegs and simple backgrounds to what Selaco is in terms of that. Just highly polished, almost criminal this has 20k views despite it being on for 10 minutes.
God today's a good day.
I was waiting for someone to speak about Slayers X!!! Finally!
Oh my dear god, I always forget how hilarious your edits and bits are til a new video comes out. Come for the boomshoot, stay for the comedy.
So hyped for Project Warlock 2. Turbo Overkill looks amazing as well.
Been loving these videos for some time, but tonight's debate over the Iggy mix and the Bowie mix of Raw Power takes the cake, bro. Well done!
I love that boomer shooter are keep going and still growing!
I hope more simple games like these keep getting stronger, instead of the live service games or the corporate companies' DLC/lootboxes
"Vengeful slavjank chickens" must be one of the best terms that's been uttered on this show xD
The Boomer Shooter Renaissance is still going strong, and I am loving it
I'm afraid the market will get oversaturated :(
i am so absolutely buying slayers x terminal aftermath vengeance of the slayer when it comes out
These roundup videos are great. So many awesome games I've never heard of.
Why is that every one of your videos is a DAMN MASTERPIECE?!
I love the references that Civvie packs into every inch of his videos.
Selaco’s purple blood reminds me of the zero gravity scene in Star Trek 6. This is a positive.
This is, I think, the snappiest I've ever seen you. Exceptional.
P.S. Delayed realization that that was a Singer sewing-machinegun. Probably the best pun that Fashion Police Squad has, and it has a fair few really good ones.
Civvie strikes again! Maaaan, this episode ruled. Glad Metal Hellsinger got a "no comment because it's so good you just know it" mention, as well as Turbo Overdrive and Selaco. Boomer shooters rule.
I really cannot say enough how much I appreciate the Tony Hawk Pro Skating level in Turbo Overkill. Brings a tear to my eye.
I always knew Gaben would absorb Steam's servers and evolve into the interstellar world-ending being known as Steamistar
A great bearded gas giant made entirely of steam
I love the 30min episodes Civvie, after i binged every video you uploaded it was difficult to find similar content.
It's a fact:
'Vengeful slavjank chickens' is the best band name not currently in use
Slav folk metal
I came the second I heard the words “minigun flamethrower”. That’s the most beautiful combination of two awesome things I’ve seen in a while.
OH I WILL
I WILL.
30:27 Too relatable Irradiated mouse... Too relatable...
Also here to mention that Agent 64 will come with easy to use mod tools to make your own maps and missions! HUGE!!!
Played the Fashion police squad demo and it’s unbelievably fun/ well designed. Can’t wait to buy the full game.
Now that it's fully out, how's it going?
I'm surprised with Civvie. He didn't even mention Trepang2 which is going for a much stronger FEAR vibe than Selaco... or Retchid, a game going for a very strong Doom 3 vibe. Very strange.
Trepang2 doesn't hit as hard as fear, less detail. The team needs to add a more original flavor as well. Selaco all the way for now
Retchid looks like it's gonna be banging. Still keeping an eye on T2
@@jareds9863 Don't know what to say except for hard disagree. I personally played both demos and the so called FEAR highlights from CV11 are zoomed in and in slow motion. In normal gameplay you won't see those unless someone tells you about them. I went through the entire Selaco demo and didn't think of FEAR once, enemies just seems out of place and too pixelated compared to the environments, 0 feedback when hit except on death. AI felt like normal Doom AI. Trepang 2 screams FEAR from start to finish.
@@John21WoW It screams FEAR but the setting is generic and it lacks any plot. The combat's solid, and the random survival maps are probably the best you'd ask for. I think it's going to nail FEAR's combat loop yet despite not going for it 100%, Selaco will still feel like the proper FEAR successor by comparison.
@@TychoHoward I'm sorry but I am having a hard time understanding your comment. I barely found any plot in Selaco either and am having a hard time seeing how it would be a better FEAR succesor than Trepang 2. Am I missing something?
I just howled in laughter when the fashion police started slapping.
Selaco and beyond sunset look brilliant!
When I saw that boulder turn the corner, I knew what reference was coming next.
Good to know apogee still has good FPS games
31:55 Never thought I'd see a MASH finale reference in one of these videos.
ok real talk
Hellsinger actually looks insane
