Thank you for posting. I have the Z6 with 24-70mm f/4 Z lens. The eye AF and tracking box all work very well. I would assume that the Z6ii has even better focus tracking.
Thanks James. I plan on a few more examples and will include eye detect and tracking. I know its not scientific testing but with so much negativity on RUclips, user groups and forums I felt like showing something different. Continue enjoying your photography after all that's what cameras are all about.
Thank you very much for doing this test. It would be interesting to see how well does AF hold good for old F mount lenses adapted via FTZ and also for third party F mount lenses of Tamron & Sigma. These 2 lenses have been doing extremely well in Nikon DSLR world and have given a tough fight to Nikon. Hence, it would be interesting to have a part 6 of this video on same subject, but this time with FTZ adapter using Nikon and third party lens Video AF would be another one that should also be looked at - it covers everything around AF - both photo, video and with FTZ. Thanks for making such informative videos
I tried the Z62 on small moving birds and there are times that it loses its focus. The noise is not about focus tracking but rather about real eye AF which the canon and Sony somehow seem to capture so well. I guess Nikon has lost a significant market share and that would mean lower money on R&D spending to catch up with Competition. But these are real good cameras though

Great work, I have the Z6 and all focus work very good, I presume that the Z6 II perform even better... Bravo and greetings from Croatia

If you haven’t already. Check out my human eye detect AF test where I use sunglasses, a hat and a mask to test eye detect AF and see what you think.
what settings did you use?
Camera was set to AF-C AF, Auto Area, custom function d9 turned off. Focus Tracking set to activate via the Function 2 button.
You obviously shaking the camera the wrong way LOL
Yeah totally did it wrong. Lol 😁 Some big time YT influencers shake the camera the right way and prove it can't track objects or focus.
Have you tried this on bird?
