@7:05 “You’re going to grab down here and pull out”. Have a 2022 Ridgeline, felt down there underneath the glove box just to the left. There’s a little ridge to grab on to, tried everything though and couldn’t pull it out. Not sure how much force to give it but I don’t want to break any tabs or anything.
I bought your kit and followed this video for the install. Not too hard. One problem with how you did it in the video though - in the end you do not replace the two front screws that hold the whole charger/cupholder assembly. I realized this in the end and tried to pry the bezel around the charger so I can get those screws in and ended up breaking the bezel. After taking everything apart I realized that the bezel and the charger are supposed to be connected with screws and come out as a single unit allowing you to access those screws. This isn't mentioned in the instructions nor there are screws included in the kit. It's all working for me now, but now I have a broken bezel that apparently I can't order by itself...
I do not use or send the screws. The screws are only used on Honda from the factory so I’m a little confused that you broke it with out screws. Email me with pictures at randy@campingrandy.com
Following your update, what center storage area are you talking about to connect to 12v for easier install? I have a 2020 pilot touring and I want to get this but on the fence. Can you elaborate and make another detailed video for the updated easier install? It’d be super helpful and I’ll definitely buy your kit as long as I can get a new detailed video with new location install. Thank you for the videos!!! Please let me know or post another video.
I e heard some trucks do and some don’t. Zoom into the picture of the cord. Open your center console and see if you have it. Either or, the kit comes with it.
I need the custom cable 😢 where can I get it??? I have the wireless charge but cannot connect it because I don’t have the custom cables to connect to the 12v. HELP PLS!!!
Do you know what the part number is for just the console part in this kit? I already have a wireless charger in my 2021. So I don’t need the custom harness or wireless charging pad. More interested in getting the blue illuminated cup holders fitted into mine. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I was able to install the wireless charger. However, the charger doesn’t charge my iPhone 13 Pro due to MagSafe. It starts to charge then starts blinking as it thinks it detects a foreign object. It does charge my daughter’s old iPhone XS since it’s doesn’t have MagSafe. I was really excited about having wireless charging. Oh well.
Omg just get it aftermarket phone holder with charger and stick it into your air vent. my goodness all you need is a Phillips screwdriver yeah, and lots of patients.
@@CampingRandy hey don't get me wrong I love your stuff and this might help someone, but yeah I took the easy way out and am happy for it. Love your videos your the only one doing things like this for Ridgelines. keep up the good work.
Don't install this. You'll read a lot of complaints that this doesn't work, especially with any iPhone made in the past few years. iPhone 13 Pro Max here..
This looks too complicated for me. Im a woman who doesnt know 💩 about cars. This takes a lot more than a screwdriver. Who can I pay to have this installed for me lmao?!?!?!
If I have the dvd player in place of the little storage cubby in my Pilot does that change this installation procedure at all?
Just installed mine thanks to this video. Appreciate it 👍

Hit me up on Instagram @campingrandy to discuss.
Will this work for a 2021 Pilot EX-L?

IT’s connection to the plug in the center storage.
Do you need the additional cord for pad to power on? Or does the truck have existing power cord?
I e heard some trucks do and some don’t. Zoom into the picture of the cord. Open your center console and see if you have it. Either or, the kit comes with it.
What is the part number for the cover tray that goes around the wireless charger?
Sorry - worked hard to locate these parts.

Added the VCM Muzzler and idle/stop disabler. No sweat. But this, uh uh. Way to much trouble to avoid a simple cable. Love the thought though. Really.
Is the illuminator/strip LED the blue colour in this kit?
Unsure - I did not connect.

Did add the cup illuminator ?
Sweet. Glad you used it.
@@CampingRandy lol , sorry that was a typo, I meant to ask, how did you add the cup holder light?
You are going to have to check and give it a 12v. Some folks say the plug is there. You’ll have to experiment.
Will this work on a 2017 Ridgeline?
Yes it would. Just make sure your phone will charge.
If you have the 9 speed automatic version, will you still need the kit?
Yes - as Honda does not sell the cup holder charger attachment, so you have to buy the entire center piece.

Will this work for a 2016?
Yes you just have to switch out the transmission shifter surround.
So you suggest to break the cigaret lighter piece
Heck Nooooooooooo - I do not. I am showing how it comes out. Actually you can connect to the center storage 12 volt.
Does not charge iPhone 13 & above, stops after 5 secs.
Thanks for posting this but I’d end up taking my ridgeline to the dealer after trying this.
Love mine that why we created the pieces. Thanks for watching.
Wireless pad on my 22 Ridgeline doesn’t work worth a s-t,Tachometer doesn’t read correctly.
Time to buy a Prius.
@@CampingRandy
Never!
Lol
Wireless charger on my 2022 RTL-E is useless. Doesn’t actually charge. And disconnects constantly.

None of them work well.
So is this an OEM Chaging pad? I have a 23 RTL-E and it has the dreaded 2-5 second chage then shuts off

Anyone with an updated video on how to do this on a passport 2021 exl
Same as this video. This works for all six and nine speeds.
Omg just get it aftermarket phone holder with charger and stick it into your air vent. my goodness all you need is a Phillips screwdriver yeah, and lots of patients.
That’s not the point! It’s to have a HONDA OEM CHARGER in the truck. Yes, we know Mr. Obvious, we can do just that, but that’s the easy way joely.
