Quite marvellous values and certainly an exciting and very clever royal. And I must say her horses always seemed very strong willed.. amazing she handled them so well. Great talent for sure. And Zara certainly did well. Her children are pretty grounded and endowed with gorgeous looks. In many ways HRH Princess Anne was truly blessed . Not much can be said of many royals in history. Although there seems to be a history of Princess Royals' surviving and coming through all adversity.
A wonderful lady! So dignified, so canny, so thoughtful, so witty, so unpretentious, so out-spoken and still so discreet! Pity she's got a bad taste when it comes to clothing! But then again her style remains unique! Even her questionable clothing taste is splendid
What you mistake as coldness is really the very dry, very British sense of humor. Princess Anne has a fantastically dry sense of humor that comes through in this wonderful interview: ruclips.net/video/GymX-czQbfc/видео.html where she (with her husband enjoyably assisting) tell the story of a gunshot exchange between police and a prospective assassin while she and her husband cower in their vehicle trying to figure out what to do. Princess Anne says, "I almost lost my rag over that one."
I agree with most comments that Ann is the hardest working Royal in the Royal family. She certainly deserves more recognition but she doesn't do it for herself but her many charities she represents unlike the late Princess Diana who had a charm that could put even the gruffest person at ease. I find it very amusing to read that some people think Ann should be the next monarch. There was no way Ann would ever get near the throne even if she was born first. Up until before Prince George was born a male heir whether they were born 1st, 2nd or 3rd would always take precedence. So after Charles it is William & then George. Ann would make a very good monarch.
Ok, I left out the 'e' in Anne's name. I got the following info from the website 'English Monarchs - Kings and Queens of England' which will tell you with regards to my comment about Anne. 'She is certainly one of the most hard working, carrying out more engagements than any other member of the family, on average more than 500 a year.' Yes, Her Majesty does do a lot of engagements but unlike Anne she cannot support so many charities', go abroad as much as Anne does and publicises them. The same with Charles as he is now starting to take more of the Queens duties as her 'Heir' as she is getting older.
Reading the lovely comments on here make me very happy. I wish the press would read these and see how much she is loved for being herself before writing something cruel about her clothing or hair. Also, I can't help but agree with those who'd like it if she was the next monarch, too! I've never liked Charles much.
The Monarchy is a remarkable thread that binds British history through hundreds of years. Nothing identifies an era quite like it. I imagine in a hundred years or so many people will be intrigued to look back. Sadly many people get bogged down in their personalities and miss the history..
I've met princess Anne briefly. She's a very serious person. Cares about her work and always gets things done. She should've have next in line, not Charles. She strikes as very tough person. Well able to handle anything. She would have made a great great Elizabeth I type monarch.
breadandcircus1 you do realize that to get to the Princess Royal, the succession would have to skip Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Henry, Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, Prince Edward, Lady Louise and the Viscount Severn. It's not just the Prince of Wales
I think the Princess Royal is very like her grandmother Princess Alice of Battenberg and her great-grandmother Princess Victoria, Marchioness of Milfordhaven.
She kind of sounds like her mother. The voice is deeper, but it still reminds me of her mom. Zara is definitely better looking than her brother, which one of them is older though? Don't know much about Anne's family, except she gave her daughter the coolest name in British history. I don't like Anne all that much, but she seems to be a good mother whose kids adore her.
I like Anne. She's a lot like her late grandmother, the Queen Mum. She has that common touch, in my opinion. I just think it's a shame that because she had brothers she could never be Queen like her mother.
Princess Anne has almost no warmth to her. She seems completely rigid and miserable. I wonder if she might take a handful of pills one day and put an end to her suffering. I suspect that all she wants is to run away and live like a savage on a tropical island....
She can be very rude indeed and is terrible autocratic. Being a contemporary of hers I well remember her early equestrian career and woe betide you if you got on the wrong side at an event. If you did not call her Ma'am, even when she was a young girl, she would be furious and yet ironically you could swear and she did not mind. They are all very eccentric. Let's face it, if you are fawned upon by flunkies form the moment you are born you will grow up expecting everyone to pay you homage.
The Princess Royal deserves more recognition by the public for her hard work. She is a modest lady

I love the Princess Royal, she works very hard, has a very good sense of humour. I just wish her all the very best.

I love princess Anne too! She is absolutely great! More power to her!

I remember her at Sandhurst. Charming woman with the most radiant smile.
I couldnt agree with you more - she rocks and so do her kids.
I admire You , Your Royal Highness Princess Anne for all your Royal Duties. Never ends.

Does anyone agree Anne looks alot like her mother! she should get the throne and should be right.
Excellent! Thanks
Well, that's fine because I can be rude, too, if the situation warrants. I still like the Princess Royal.
Princess Anne should be Queen Elizabeth II's successor, not Prince Charles, Princess Anne would be a great Queen
I agree.

Alicia Coburg I know that. Just wishing
I agree completely. Charles is a spoiled, rotten, 2 timing, MAMA'S BOY who does NOTHING FOR HIMSELF.
I think the Princess Royal is very like her grandmother Princess Alice of Battenberg and her great-grandmother Princess Victoria, Marchioness of Milfordhaven.
same. she is the best
Princess Anne and her paternal great-great- mother Victoria are very much alike

The Royals Arey such a marvalous family.
@sarabower1 I think that she looks like Queen Mary. She's a great woman, who ever she resembles physically.
I like Anne. She's a lot like her late grandmother, the Queen Mum. She has that common touch, in my opinion. I just think it's a shame that because she had brothers she could never be Queen like her mother.
@IrisMG I don't see that. She is the spitting image of her father. She looks a lot like
her great aunt The Princess Mary
@Rotebuehl1 she really should change her hairsyle though
prince peter looks so much much like prince william
ok ... well who were those 2 adults they were talking to lol?
Victoria Williams They are Princess Anne's kids who don't have titles because Princess Anne didn't want them to.
+Victoria Williams Anne's kids doesn't have royal titles. By Anne's choice.
From what i have read, by not having a title they were able to lead a normal life.
I agree
Prefer 100 time The Princess Royal to Charles, having met her three times, much better looking in real life.
She's not the eldest, there for is not the heir to the throne. It will skip Charles.
A truly royal lady she makes the Middleton girl so common.
Thank you.
4:22 4:33 4:44 4:56 5:07 5:12 Good girl!
Sound quality is terrible
GEEZUS! Get over it!
Just be thankful they took the time to upload it!
fir goodnesses sake ANNE GET A NEW HAIR STYLE!
