This vid and the one prior was great just went through Our 3rd playthrough through KH3, since we wanted to give it more time to shine like the old ones we played a lot. This brought out the realization that this is the game where most of Sora's voice and thoughts come out. First game he was mostly reacting and learning and the truth of the heart comes out at the end in the final confrontation. In two it was mostly Roxas' anger reacting, we get more of his opinions on how the heart works from data Sora in Re:Coded ie, hurt, and at the end of Dream Drop starting to confront the ideals of connection. But this one deals with his beliefs and rebuttals against them. Then at the climax learning new truths and sharing some along they way. He confronts those rebukes from before with his new knowledge and taking in the members feelings knowing they are people!
Your examination of Sora's relationship with Winnie The Pooh makes me hope that Sora meets Peter Pan again someday, I want to see how Sora growing up contrasts with Pan's eternal youth
My man.... thank you for this video, Kingdom Hearts has been always part of my childhood - of my life; I can't imagine a world where I didn't have it - this video made me feel just like when I play the game whether it be for the first time or the 7th time whether it be Kh2 or Kh3 or Kh DDD - I am inspired and moved deeply. Your videos, both of them did justice to KH3 but this one hit it out the park - no, the atmosphere for me - amazing video. Keep up the GOATED work, I felt like I was destined to find this video, and I'm glad I did.
This video just explains to me why Sora is at his best in KH3. People say that Disney worlds doesn't matter in KH3 and the story doesn't kick in until you pass all the worlds, but they don't understand what those worlds provided not only in narrative, but for the character development as well.
…Wow. You’re video has made me change my stance against Sora for his actions and behavior in his restoration of the Guardians. I realize that I was looking at him wrongly. I wasn’t watching a boy recklessly charging forward against potential oblivion, I was watching a keyblade wielder like no other commit to doing what he knows could be the only way forward to a better ending. “I acted rashly, I can admit that now.”
This is actually why KH3 is in my top 5 favorite games. Its due Sora’s characterization and how he just puts on a happy face even though he feels helpless. Fantastic work
If anything, kh2 Sora wasn't exactly himself. Instead of wondering why Nobodies pretending to have a heart, he got aggressive when he beat Demyx. Now sure, you could say Roxas has an influence in him, but the story does a poor job of telling it. At least KH3 managed to tell you that it was Ventus speaking through to Sora that he wanted to save Aqua.
Sora in KH3 really is just his definitive state so far. He carries on the best aspects of his character from 1,2 and DDD and also makes improvements to those flaws too such as sympathizing with the Nobodies and allowing him to show more weakness too. Which makes his ascension even more inspirational and satisfying to see. It’s also why I’m glad the story was more focused on him than other guardian like Riku or Aqua. Not that they don’t get their own personal moments later in the game, but I feel like having Aqua&Ventus join Sora on his journey before the Keyblade Graveyard would’ve hinder some of his independence and growth. Can’t wait to see how he’ll react to his new surroundings and new characters in KHIV. Since there’s so much potential that they could do with him.
A very well constructed analysis of Sora! He showed so much growth over KH3 that I'm excited for what comes next with KH4 especially with him now being separated from his friends
This is a 10/10 video. I cannot possibly explain how euphoric this video makes me feel, because it reminds me exactly what I loved so much about KH3. I think a lot of people missed these and zeroed in on a goal which is why some things either went over their head or wasn't as good as they hoped. Amazing video.
Thank you! I'm glad to see people are enjoying this video. Comments like this truly make me feel that all the time I spent working on this was worth it.
I love this video, there is so much here that I caught on first playthrough, some I only caught on a second and some I haven't yet caught! Thanks for making this, its very well made!
I'm sorry it took me so long to cook up a response to this video. It's been more difficult to find time these days than ever, so I couldn't watch this two-parter straight away. I must say, this is incredibly high-quality content in the department of study, scripting, and editing. You clearly have a handle on the topic of these videos and worked to present them as clear and engagingly as possible. While I don't agree with every point you make, you formulated your perspective well, and though there were concepts I already discerned in my own playthroughs, this video provided a lot of fresh perspectives to view many moments of this game from. I really enjoyed these videos. You always manage to take your content in unexpected directions and nail it every time. I'm so happy to see how far you've come, and once again find myself exhilerated to see what you have in store next! Thank you for everything you do and for making all your content this memorable and great!
No need for apologies, the videos won't be going anywhere, so take all the time you need. Thanks again for your constant support and motivation. I always appreciate your kind words throughout my videos. Seriously, thank you so much!
@@Titan_Trainer Of course; The pleasure's all mine! I wouldn't support what you do to this extent if I didn't enjoy it. It always warms me to know my words play some small role in giving you motivation. At the risk of repetition, your efforts don't go unnoticed or unappreciated. Thank you in return, a hundred times over, for all that you do.
I love this video so much!! You did such a great job with it! You've earned a sub :) Oh btw do you think it would be cool if you made a video where you debunk alot of arguments and misconceptions made against KH3?
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it! Honestly, one of the reasons I made these two video essays was to present points against those arguments and misconceptions; mainly the Disney worlds actually contributing to the main plot. So, at this point, I don't feel it necessary to make a video to directly acknowledge those arguments, but thanks for the suggestion!
@@Titan_Trainer You're welcome! I think I should've worded my sentence better and said something like "It would be awesome for you to make more videos like this" and I would love more videos like this! For an example: defending Riku's Characterizations, seriously I don't get how people say this game ruined his chatacter and don't previde evidence and infact all characters in KH3 (even Kairi, well...until Melody of Memory I think thats her best characterization for now) are the best they've ever been characterized. With KH3 gaining more love as time pass by and KingK working on his long over-due (just kidding 😅) KH3 Retrospective, I thought this might be the perfect time to shed more Light into the Dark from youtube videos like Jebtube (In my brutally honest opinion, Jeb's KH3 Video is straight up Awful and one of the worst analysis video I've ever seen) and AskYourUncle KH3 Video (which I used to love, but looking at it now, it's above average and decent at best because of the times and efforts he puts in that video, but alot of his points against KH3 are kinda outdated or he just doesn't understand the game at all [like most people 🤣] and I think its both)

I prefer more original stories for the Disney worlds, like what the first game did.

A beautiful video, people tend to dismiss kh3 Sora cause kh2 Sora was "cooler" but imo kh3 Sora is the best Sora
I feel like people only say that based solely on the reaction commands lol

@@Redxan600 yeah Sora is 10x better in this game than KH2
They dismiss him for being idiotic.

Man, I'm speechless. I love Sora so much.
I'm glad to see others' love for the character. He's such a perfect character for this franchise.
Me, too!

Great analysis. I'm glad others see what I saw in KH3. Its a Top 3 kh game to me.
“You’re a whole pint by yourself, Sora.” Cue me ugly crying
