A few quick suggestions: 1. when it comes to resetting back to default ACSS settings I would like to see a "master reset" button that reverts the entire thing back to default, a "section reset" that reverts only a particular section of ACSS back to default, such as "borders and dividers" and another "section user reset" button that just reverts to the previously saved user settings of that section (for circumstances where I change many settings for live preview but then just decide to go back to what i had previously saved, not having to memorize every single thing). 2. make it a bit more clear how to handle button hover state styling. because i'm used to previous systems/builders my mind keeps searching for the hover style button next to where I style the button.
You had me at the transitions. That was the reason I stopped using ACSS, and that sold me again. The colors were another mess, but that makes so much sense now. You walking back on many of your initial decisions and listening to the users and well as experts in your team is so amazing and I now trust and respect you even more. I take back all the comments about ACSS being opinionated, you guys have turned it around. Thank you.
Great product from a great team, led by a great leader. ACSS 3.0 is a game-changer for most of the professionals and non-professionals WP users. Thanks Kevin!
Each iteration of ACSS is tremendous, but version 3, is a very special development, from a very talented Team, inspired by it's founder, Kevin. Congratulations and looking forward to the release and ACSS 3 101.
This is tremendous. I have always hated getting out of the building workflow and doing all the back and forth as you described. I think one of the biggest plus points with your products is that you solve issues you face on a daily basis and rightly assume that others have them too. Then you fix it for all of us and provide it...for a fee. 😊 Thank you for saving me the hours. 🎉 Bless you!
Hell yeah to dropping the dashboard page man. Never really felt like it was part of the WP UI. + All the goodies you've dropped on us. Thanks to all the team! Stokked Ive backed the right horse.
Cycling through different values is ingenious! I already have a lifetime version, but it feels wrong not having to pay for the new 3.0 version :) Great job!
I absolutely loved pagebuilding 101, it blew my mind and was reassured that i already know a lot, but just to have a refresher and learn so much more and all that for free is absolutely insane. So i am really looking forward for to acss 101 !! 🎉 and team ACSS bravo!
This is unbelievably awesome and far more than I imagined. Definitely not a case of you bigging it up beforehand 😆. So looking forward to begin using it
Amazing! The ingenuity and intelligence involved is AMAZING‼Congrats and THANKS to the entire team and alpha testers.👏Hope everyone had a chance to get outta the dungeon and celebrate!🥳🍻
I did not expect the real time dashboard on the frontend! This such a timesaver and what actually that old "the customizer" from WP should have been from day 1 lol. Great job to the entire team, can't wait to start using this
I'm blown away! Thank you Kevin and the team. I was almost out of the web design life due to frustration but with Bricks, ACSS and Frames I'm starting to actually love what I do again
Really enjoyed the live and congrats to Kevin and the team - 3.0 looks epic. ACSS was already crazy powerful before, but these new features take it to the next level 🤩
Phenomenal! Now as I play with it I am even more in awe of you and your team! I am having problem with button. No response to changed. Hope to figure it out in between todays soccer matches. Thank you and your team.
Kevin, I remember asking you, on a chat somewhere, if you were planning on creating your own builder (Breakdance launch time) and you replied “that is a complicated thing to do.” I see other people are starting to ask the same question. I think you’re getting there…😉🙌🏻
Thank you so much for this much hard work for this already amazing tool, got new updates.. and showing the right direction to the community in building amazing website.
Its funny that Kevin says lately that the team aren't planing on building a Page Builder any time soon.. for what it seems they already are and don't even know it :)
Absolutely fantastic transform of ACSS. I'm very eager to use it in my upcoming projects. Sorry I was not able to participate in the live stream as we were having our Eid celebration today. Thanks you so much for your extensive walkthrough Kevin! Much appreciated. 👍
Color palette settings doesn't accept float values in HSL. For example I paste HEX value #FE5800 and after saving it gets converted to #ff5900 because the original color in HSL is (20.71, 100, 50) and the new one is (21, 100, 50). This effectively reduces possible color combinations from 16.77M colors to just 2.56M.
Impressive preview. As others said, real time adjustments on the front end the killer feature. I had a sense of something like this only for the builder backend. I have some pre sales questions. I’ll email them in. Signing up now to the 101
Excellent! Here are a few notes/request I wrote down while watching. 1) Do the up/down arrow cycling work if the box is empty? Does it automatically add the first appropriate color or size to get started? 2) When using up/down arrow, can it go by decimal sizes? Instead of 1rem, 2rem, 3rem, do 1rem, 1.1rem, 1.2rem? I only saw whole numbers moving. Note that web dev tools allows this if you hold ALT it will swtich to fractional changes. 3) Is there an indicator at the top level to show that settings have been changed? E.g. to show if any changes have been done to standard spacing, or contextual spacing, or layout, etc. I only see indicators at the individual setting level. 4) You were refreshing the whole screen to reset the styles, but it would also be more elegant to have a reset button or 'discard changes' button that resets it without a page refresh. 5) I would still love a right-click contextual menu to help when searching for variables in the settings. E.g. a setting could be set with a size like 3rem, but in some cases using a spacing or gap variable would make more sense. It's not always clear whether we should hunt for direct values or use a variable, so some kind of contextual "variables browser" would make a lot of sense. All variables relating to sizing/spacing/gaps, all variables relating to colors, all variables relating to random other things like the global border width of buttons. ACSS has so many variables that we really need a built-in documentation for searching and filtering through them. 6) Some of these global settings overlap with global settings you might find in other places like Bricks settings and global styles, Gutenberg etc. It would be handy if ACSS were able to block other common settings from being used if they are supposed to be controlled by ACSS. This would help prevent someone from setting a global container width in Bricks global styles when ACSS is supposed to be doing that. Something like a warning or popup or overlay or changed CSS style of the UI, to let us know "Hey, this should be changed in ACSS, not here." 7) When writing in the SCSS box, it would be good to be able to expand it wider. Or make it full screen.
1. There's almost always a value in the input by default. 2. If your value contains a decimal, it'll go by decimal. If it's a whole number it'll jump whole numbers. We plan to refine this further. 3. Yes, the indicator dot in the header, which is also a reset button. 4. There's a reset button. I was just refreshing because I wanted to make sure everything was completely clear (the reset is a little buggy in alpha sometimes) given that it was a livestream situation. 5. Yes, the context menus will likely come to the dashboard as well. They're also being rebuilt currently. 6. Bricks has no global settings by default and our setup instructions tell users not to add any. Gutenberg doesn't either (other than the ones we already override). There are currently no conflicts out of the box. 7. This is coming.
@@Gearyco Thanks, can't wait! Regarding #6 tho, I was mainly thinking of Bricks when setting globals like headings or really any default colors or component features. Bricks has those built-in styles like dark and light mode, or built-in button styles like small and large. Maybe my worry about overlapping style control is just a feeling, but I thought for sure there is going to be more than one place a user could edit the same thing.
Well, this is all getting more badass! Kevin, question: what's the word on using ACSS with Advanced Themer? I now have both and would like to put them to use in my general workflow, along with BEM. Thoughts, recommendations? Thanks for your input and for adding a huge upgrade to WordPress.
The color area is great, however, those shades and how they are being used in the demo aren't going to have a high enough contrast ratio to pass WCAG standards. Would be incredible if you could include a method for reporting the color contrast scores and if they are WCAG compliant. Like button color vs. button text color
Hello Kevin & team. I have not watched the entire video, so the answer may be in there, but when can I start playing with this? I just bought an ACSS subscription and feel that spending time to learn 2.8 is a bit wasted if 3.0 is just around the corner?

I really want to like this, but I am having the hardest time with your EDD interface. So far, I’ve been double billed, then my license got disabled, and now it says expired. I wish I could test this, but all of the downloads are cutoff :(. I’m moving to Advanced Themer because I’m being forced to.
