Not exactly sure what you’re referring to.
@@Gearyco I should have been more clear. At 15:40 in this video there are light blue transparent layout columns visible. My comment was based on the fact that I've learned to used column layouts in Figma to help maintain consistency based on my chosen grid (i.e. 8px or 12px grid). Don't shoot me for using px in this description.
I couldn't join live, so I'm catching up today, and oh my word, Kevin Geary, you are a MACHINE building that site... soooooo many issues, and I was screaming at the screen just now what a cluster that original site is (from the logo, which looks like a petfood company.... to the hero being a static image.... and the random use of colors [I'd love to see what their web design brand board looks like]... and so much more... oh, and as soon as I saw the code I knew what it was built on: Astra theme/child theme, with Beaver Builder as the builder. Beaver is known to be soooooooo obnoxious w/ inconsistent styling ... it's maybe one or two steps above Elementor, IMHO and in my experience.])... and your case for leaving animation out of website design... 10000% .... clients love it b/c they think it's nice, and designers love to use it for some reason, but I'm like nooooooo.
And hilarious how you said that Contributor's Day is basically a bunch of attendees doing shit for Matt for free lol... I'm off to finish watching the Q&A. Well done, chief!

It's clear from this demo that menu is still an ongoing issue and occupies by far the longest amount of the design process. Frustrating for sure.
From rebuild to website roast 🤣 I guess they asked the office manger, who also does HR, marketing and social media, to create the website. The worst thing is that I see "designers" creating websites like this all over the place. There should be a blacklist or something. Jailtime.
Oh and by the way, it's Astra theme. Used it once and never finished the project because of it. Terrible.
