I went to OC night market and bought from you there actually. Having people comment on how expensive your prices are when I paid 15 dollars for lukewarm Takoyaki is almost laughable imo lol.... I just came from Japan where I bought street Takoyaki that was boiling for 3 dollars :' ) Maybe not the fairest comparison because obviously it should be cheaper in Japan... I guess... but 15 dollars for mediocre takoyaki? Nah bro. For some benefit of the doubt re: your pins, it's pretty fair that the audience in these markets don't know artist alley pricing, but still.
Literally this, people will pay tons of money for subpar fried food, but lose their minds about paying an artist something they spent months creating…
I totally understand someone wanting to pay more for something like food vs. art, however I don't appreciate when they comment their opinion when they could have the common decency to say it quietly or further from the table where I wouldn't be able to hear it. But alas I can't do anything about it and people will be people bc some don't care 🤷🏻♀
Hi Maci ! I've been watching your Artist Alley videos religiously these days as i'll be tabling for the first time this year and I'm the type who needs lots of information in advance to tackle any challenge. I really appreciate how detailed, organized and straight to the point your videos are. I've learned a lot from you which help ease my anxiety as I don't even have that much experience as convention visitor hahaha. The way you keep your products, your tools and everything in order, labelled, for your helper friends, it scratches an itch over here. I also need everything to be neatly prepared when doing anything shop related so it's really helpful seeing how you do things and hearing you explain each decision. It may not seem much but you're really out there giving the advice anyone could need, regardless of the kind of merch they plan to sell. Thank you so much for your hard work and hoping your business continues to grow !

Yeah its always hard to gauge the right pricing for your products depending on which show we do and even how far we come from for out of state artists/vendor. The market pricing always changes and lately price for booth and tables has even increased which makes it so hard for us to keep a lower price for customers but it is what it is...
I have been wanting to do 626 night market forever but i think coming from out of state with all my equipment might not be worth it.. lol

I usually go to 626 but i didnt even know they had dates in July (I did go to AX though). I might go to the September dates, hopefully less hot too.
They just had 2 Arcadia events this month, but I'll be at the September dates!
