I can relate to the filter flooding. Same happened to me, but it was due to a crack in the filter, not a leak. It took awhile before I realized that it was leaking, and by then, the water did a job on the wood floor under the aquarium. My wife was not happy!!!

I’ve got some dwarf water lettuce in my beta tank. It’s not very happy right now. I take out whatever leaves melt every day, but it keeps making new leaves. It hasn’t taken off like other floating plants tend to do. But it’s still alive. Idk why it’s tricky. Also: What kind of monster is giving Irene hate mail? She’s super wholesome and her videos are fantastic.

I think for my parents, they were just too busy with work and didn't prioritize teaching me Chinese. It was more important that I do well in regular school in America. :)
I agree with you, it’s awesome that Irene is raising her kids to be able to speak Chinese! When my family and I emigrated from Japan to the midwest in the ‘90s, the school wanted my parents to only speak English at home and ban speaking Japanese altogether, because “one nation, one language” sentiment is unfortunately still very strongly believed where we live (why be proud you can only speak one language?) My parents, thank goodness, did the exact opposite because they knew that kids, while they’re really quick at picking up new language, can just as easily lose their original language too. I’m so glad they’ve helped my siblings and I grow up bilingual! I’d love to learn how to speak Chinese some day as well. I think it’s a very beautiful, melodious language (Japanese is somewhat monotone 😅)

That I needed to grow up because being devastated over my horse dying unexpectedly and without me by her side because ~pandemic~ was clearly a very childish thing. 2. Advocating for gelding/neutering non-breeding-quality stallions meant I must be a terrible rider. You just have to laugh at people's thought processes sometimes.

I highly recommend you do an out door pond next season. You can get kits that are reasonably priced or you can do it yourself. I have 10 gallon rope tubs and 100 gallon stock tubs. I really enjoy having my outside fish area. Depending upon where you live, you can run them year round. My rice fish and my white cloud minnows stay outside all year.

I can't believe you get hate T_T you are so helpful, sweet & wholesome! I am new to the hobby and I got a batch of serpae's from a approved source that were riddled with columnaris, and I cried over every single one I lost. You had videos that explained the frustration and what to do and I started cycling all over and I have a beautiful school of serpae's/ rummy nose and tons of cherries in this pretty amazonian inspired 100gal tank for them since they are south american. I am glad I didnt fold under losing all those cuties, but columnaris is a horrifying thing to happen to a tank and I wish it on no one or fish! thank you for having videos on it and the honesty and what you did about it, I felt like I failed those fish in every way, just happy now that I kept up with it fixed it in the end. So thank you for everything you do, ya have been a huge help!
Here's an idea as I saw the light timer. Try like a smart plug. I know with Google home you schdule it and can turn it on and off through your phone and from a Google home device. I do this with my 55 and 20 gallon. Works great as I can have it stay on a little longer when I'm in that room

A tip on water lettuce. Too much flow and surface agitation is bad. Also, the plant doesn't like to have water droplets on the leaves.

I highly recommend you do an out door pond next season. You can get kits that are reasonably priced or you can do it yourself. I have 10 gallon rope tubs and 100 gallon stock tubs. I really enjoy having my outside fish area. Depending upon where you live, you can run them year round. My rice fish and my white cloud minnows stay outside all year.

I can't believe you get hate T_T you are so helpful, sweet & wholesome! I am new to the hobby and I got a batch of serpae's from a approved source that were riddled with columnaris, and I cried over every single one I lost. You had videos that explained the frustration and what to do and I started cycling all over and I have a beautiful school of serpae's/ rummy nose and tons of cherries in this pretty amazonian inspired 100gal tank for them since they are south american. I am glad I didnt fold under losing all those cuties, but columnaris is a horrifying thing to happen to a tank and I wish it on no one or fish! thank you for having videos on it and the honesty and what you did about it, I felt like I failed those fish in every way, just happy now that I kept up with it fixed it in the end. So thank you for everything you do, ya have been a huge help!

Here's an idea as I saw the light timer. Try like a smart plug. I know with Google home you schdule it and can turn it on and off through your phone and from a Google home device. I do this with my 55 and 20 gallon. Works great as I can have it stay on a little longer when I'm in that room
