Oh my god!How can you possibly have learned all this stuff SOOO well that you know the effects of every single measurement in layer effects and stuff beforehand? You make it seem like a piece of cake and I'll need a lifetime to do what you did in a few minutes! You are unbelievable!
@IceflowStudios Thank you for all your work, i realize you've covered most of these questions in the tutorial, but i was looking for a less abstract, more realistic way to paint fireworks (besides, as always, i am thinking of ways to implement what i've just learned into future paintings, and how these methods will improve my drawing). Have a great new year, with many more tutorials for the less-knowledgeable!! Sincerely, John
@Gaurescu You could either use a radial gradient, like in this video, or multiple layers. Each layer containing a different color. Fireworks are very tricky. I spent days trying to achieve a 'realistic' firework explosion. It just wasn't happening.
Hey. absolutely great. you are the best ! Realy ! I love yout tuts since a long long time.... I learnd so much from you ! THANK YOU ! ps Happy New Year xD
Dear Howdy mate, from the past few months, I have been exploring 'RUclips' for such a tutorial and finally, I found you!...I found you late but the distance was worth bate!...I am really grateful to you for sharing this tutorial...Many Thanks, mate!...GOD bless you...This will definitely help me create several greeting designs in photoshop...Jolly good tutorial!.... Some of my mates in here, have a query regarding the rusty metal texture, as they don't see that in their Photoshop. For them here's the way out to the problem : Step 1 - When you select texture in the 'Brushes' panel, just click on 'whatever texture' you see there. Step 2 - Then, click on the 'Right arrow button' which you'll see on the right-side of the texture interface column that just popped-up after clicking 'whatever texture'. Step 3 - When an option menu pops-up, select 'Load patterns'. Step 4 - Now go to the drive where you uploaded 'Adobe Master suite' or 'Adobe software'. Step 5 - Click on Program files and look for 'Adobe'. Step 6 - Once you're in Adobe folder, look for 'Adobe Photoshop' and click on it. Step 7 - Now select 'Presets'. Step 8 - Look for 'Patterns'. Step 9 - Finally, load the patterns one by one and you'll be able to spot the 'Rusty metal texture pattern', after the loading is complete. Mission Accomplished!...:) Enjoy designing!...:) 'Happy Halloween' to all in advance!...:)
hey this is James i just got back from the future in the year 2056 and i saw this in my history class right next to Martin luther king and Criss Angle it is so famous
@IceflowStudios Thanks for all the answers, you've shed some light on my amateurism.. I'm gonna push my luck a bit, though, and ask you: to simulate the "spherical" placement of the tips of different color, would you use more paths towards the edges of the sphere, or is there a simpler way to do this?
@TheDarknessArrives They're abstract fireworks. They're not meant to look 100% like fireworks. If you want 'real' fireworks, grab an image from Google, set the Blend Mode to Lighten. Done.
hey paul, even i was facing the same problem, but then i tried and i got it. what u do is, after giving the stroke, press v(move tool) n then click on edit. u will get it.
I get as far as the stroke path to create the firework, I right click and choose stroke path then make sure brush is set but when I release the mouse button nothing happens..........HELP !!!

Great Tutorial. I've been using Photoshop for a good 10 years now and I am learning new things all of the time. Keep up the good work.
You make photoshop so much easier! Without you, I'd be so lost!
@Gaurescu I'd probably stick with a custom brush again. Definitely take advantage of the Scattering options.
I'm a senior game design student, and this was exactly what I wanted to learn for one of my school assignments. Thank you so much for sharing.
I love this! I have to go play with this now! Thanks so much!
Good job. Looks pretty good!

@Gaurescu You could possibly just add a small 'sphere' to the end of the brush. Might work.

@Suonaa You can move it using the Path Selection Tool.
wow thank you
@R1ProductionHouse Due to potential copyright issues, I won't be uploading that video to RUclips.

@travisimoto Click on the arrow at the top right of the Texture Picker, select Patterns.
fawkeen awesome man! :D
@Mikkelsapiens He's probably using the square bracket keys:
[ makes brush smaller
] makes brush larger
take it a litle bit slower, just think about that people can have it in the background and do like u do :) otherwise great job! happy new year
I wonder whether Photoshop people no all this!?! Nonetheless, they've created a wonderful software. :)
good job :D
thanks.......xxxxx
excellent! PS doesn't have secrets for you ...
4:55 - I was like woow :O
@liquidus2172 He did say that they are not realistic. They are abstract firework and the final product is exactly that.
@MrShadyGaming1 Hold the Spacebar while dragging.
Awesome TUT.. But I can't get past making the brush. When I (Define Brush Preset) it is not selectable to save. What do i need to do?
@1z1337 @1z1337 Number keys. 9 = 90 percent, 4 = 40 percent, 2 = 20 percent, etc.
gr8!!!
ok thanks! dont worry ill make one for 2014 lol
What about creating realistic colors fireworks? I mean, yellowish trails, but red or bright green "dots" where the particles "exploded"? Any tips?
epic
Could you help me with your previous tutorial?? I cannot make those lights look the same way as yours... :(
nice, could you also make a not abstract firework tut?
