(Alright "human Whitty" isn't really the og Whitty, he's someone else named Julian, what I said at the start of the video is like 100% wrong, but in the underground week it says 'just like old times' so that made me thought it was Whitty. So uh, Julian is a separate entity from the OG Whitty, so its Whitty's story being retold in a different way, finally, youtube let me blur out the thing I said at the start)
February 1 is the Anniversary of when the Whitty mod was first released to the public.
He was the first character out there to popularize FNF mods, such as the full week mods, but down the line, his mod got private and upset many fans, but today he came back for good with a huge update! The official Psych Engine port of the original V.S. Whitty mod is here along with new dialogues, reanimated portraits, 4 new songs + the 3 original songs, and new game over animations. There are also some camera effects in his original songs. I'm very surprised he came back, I didn't think he would. Now let's hope for mid-fight mes to come back.
Game Note: While Boyfriend strolling with your Girlfriend through an alleyway, you happen to notice an ominous glow coming from around the corner. Out steps Whitmore (Whitty), a hot-headed underground rock star who happens to have some beef with your GF parents. Think BF got what it takes to get him outta there?

I really like the emotions portrayed in Julian's song. It feels like he goes from "Are you sure about this, little buddy?", to "Oh damn, okay. We doin' this.", to "Like HELL am I letting you beat me!"
A really good detail that i like that they added in this update is that girlfriend isn't scared anymore. since it was sorta stated ( iirc ) that girlfriend isn't scared of anything besides lightning so its a nice little addition from the previous mod.

I honestly love how you can see julian getting more into it, throughout underground. first the animation is very casual, like he is seeing what bf can do, then he starts having fun, then finally the just goes nuts with ballistic mode.

I love this new version and the addition of Julian! And I'm glad GF doesn't act scared in Ballistic anymore, since that's out of character. I'm also glad Ballistic isn't a spammy song anymore, and is actually more fair. I wish they brought back Updike though

Finally, this is what we needed, i can't express my love for this mod, I remember back then when whitty was the hardest mod, that nostalgia couldn't be forgotten, I am truly happy that this memorable mod has came back in a better, polished, and breathtaking mod, kudos to the creators of this spectacular mod, they deserve all the love and support they need with or without FNF!

As much as I love this mod, I REALLY hope someone expands on the lore that had potential before sock.clip abandoned it all.
The Greater Good and Updyke chasing Whitty as the experiment he was and everything was such interesting lore before it all got canceled.
Before the red eye was defined only by Hex and seen in multiple places (Tricky, etc...) hinting at the Greater Good being involved in everything somehow, but then shoved into a "Hex only" thing as "IRIS", the company that wants to take down Daddy Dearest.... :(
Evidently UpDyke isn't going to be included at this time but anim8 hinted that sock still had some potential plans in place related to that character.
Edit: I admit I got the name mixed up, honest mistake.
I really hope for the same thing, but it's unlikely it will ever happen, mostly because people don't have anything to base on, since Sock.clip only showed parts of the deep lore, but not what they planned to do with it.

IDK if anyone else has this problem, but whenever I play the Definitive Edition charting, my fingers memorize the old mod charting (The First Whitty Mod) and I think that I am missing. I've played all 3 songs so much that my fingers just start moving on their own when I hear the soundtracks.

This is quite possibly the easiest official Ballistic chart, but it’s still really cool with how it switches between minijacks and more stream-y gameplay, kinda like a “best of both worlds” kinda deal! I like it

It's most definitely the hardest. I've played the original chart and the rechart, both of them are fairly easily compared to this.

As a person in the fnf community since week 4 and seeing this amaze me alot, cant believe i see this mod evolving in the times, being before the hardest mod of fnf and later being a big inspiration for a lot of modders, glad im seeing this mod making a comeback, this looks so good

I am on the verge of tears.
Never has there been a character that interested as much as Whitty.
In fact, he was the reason I joined this fandom. I remember seeing him in smg4 video and I was invested in him and his cute girlfriend Carol.
When Whitty was taken down, my heart was legit broken. I know I’m probably over exaggerating this, but I was so hurt by Whitty’s og mod going away. And that everyone said he was dead. I then searched everywhere to find as much wholesome Whitty content I could find, from animations, to covers, to betadciu, to stories.
Now that he’s back, my heart has been filled and I can’t express how happy I am to see him once more.
I feel like 2022 is going to be filled with Anniversary mods. For iconic fnf mod characters. From Hex, to Annie, Ruv and Sarvente. Maybe they’ll make one for Sky.
This is why I love Friday Night Funkin, no matter what.

I just noticed that in 11:03 when he got more excited and things got "colorful" his jacket is now gone and is gone for the rest of the song you can see even after the phase in 11:26 it's a really neat detail!
