BugOutMoto man this is the nicest bug out van I’ve ever seen! It’s weird how we guys sleep good in vans/rvs I sleep like a babyyyyy some nights I contemplate van sleeping over my bed haha! Love the custom cabinets and your shower idea I’m stealing haha love that tent!

I have watched 100's of van life, rv conversion and tiny house videos, maybe 1000's and yours is the most insane. Absolutly brilliant. I mean it looks like there is almost nothing in there but so much is happening. My god what an ergonomic engineer you are. You should think about building these for a living. Damn. I think he's Japanese from his Yamaha motorcycle, or could be Chinese, he's perfectionist, they are perfectionist. I loved all the simplicity of it, but yet very practical. Minus the toilet part, honestly the van life throws me off because of only the toilet thingy.

No. That van sux ass. His electrical set up is shit. He water system is also shit.
1.)He needs gravity fed water to eliminate retarded wasteful electric pump.
2.) He needs to charge his battery banks via a second dedicated alternator and not those stupid solar panels that would literally take a week to charge his batteries.
3.) He needs to place his bike on the back on the outside in some sort of box. Not on the inside taking up space and spewing toxic gases.
4.) He needs roof boxes to hold more of his junk
I mean I could go on but his build is a 4/10 at best. People stop having low standards.
This van is the worst I've seen on youtube
The flame throwers shoot out every side from under the van. The UV lights for vampires fold out of the roof, and cover the entire outside in every direction. I have not even watched the entire video, but I am absolutely amazed at the detail. I am a BIG fan of backup systems!
You should check out the van that the girl bought which had been a DEA surveillance vehicle... reminded me of the EM50, only smaller...

Very creative and smart setup you have created. I think any everyone could use the lights under the cabinet. I just love the foldup bed with your clothes attached down under. You are organized and you keep your space immaculate. Great idea with the water draining out, environmentally friendly.

I think dude has a great set up and some great ideas for anyone who wants to build their own camper van. Now unless you have the specific intent of carrying a bike around with you, you might want to change a few things lol Swivel recliner or AC could fit in their pretty nice for a guy who just looking more to camp

extra cabinet and wardrobe space!
Stealth pro-tip: Put padlocked shackle bolts on your loading doors. If it's locked from the outside ("looks like there ain't nobody in dar"). You can access by the driver's door.
You could even make it a fake that just overlaps to make it look to be externally locked, but you can still open it as normal from inside.
You need one more switch by the bed. The one that lets you manually set off the car alarm if someone (or somebear) is trying to break in.
The beauty of this is in the simplicity of its design, where it does exactly what you need, without being so overly built or committed to one purpose, that it cant be instantly redesiganated for any other. That's smart, frugally done, and looks great too! Definitely in my top five favorate inspirational van builds on YT for it's no nonsense practicallity, flexibility, and mininimalist approach. Thanks for sharing.
That's an awesome van! I'm sure its 100 times better than anything I could build, but I noticed one thing. It seems if you plan on camping when it is very cold you might want to cover up that exposed metal on the side, with insulation. It seems like even that amount of exposed metal could really suck a lot of heat out of the van.

First of all let me say as so many others have... This is the best all around Van build I have seen on You Tube. Excellent use of space. It is not only a camper but also a toy hauler. Plus it is in Stealth mode when just parked...anywhere. I like when you opened the doors when the bed was down and it looked empty. a bed, a little storage, industrial floor and cabinet. But then you open a cabinet door or raise the bed and the magic starts.
Wow, only 11k, about one year rental expense and you can have this for your future, very jealousy, especially the gas is few times cheaper than HK my town. Looking forward to see your next updated.

It's not exactly the most beautiful thing on the road but damn you pack every little gadget imaginable into this thing! what a sweet build!

This is the probably safest and more practical van I've seen. The side tent is awesome.
I have seen videos where many off gridders are using induction cook tops. adds no heat and takes very little amps..can be had for 50 to 100$...save ya from dealing w/the propane. Also have seen them have a battery hardwired to the vehicle alternator for charging, Don't know how that works....yet. My time is gonna come, (but not in a robert plant sorta way) Ya knew what ya wanted, bada boom bada bing, (LOL) ya got it. Nice build, using it for ref later...one of a few.

Glad to hear you are on a healthy diet while you are stealth parked at KFC or Macdonalds. ;-) A tip for toilets is, if you have it, use the ash from a fire and cover your dump and it stops smelling straight away. My grandparents had an old style outdoor toilet and that is what us kids were taught to do, scrape the ash from the wood stove with a fire tool into the bucket for the toilet. Olde world life ran full circle. You've inspired me to get a van and I'm just looking for one now.

Give you another idea for water you can buy a water key at Home Depot or Lowe's that will turn on the outside faucets to places that have no faucet handle.

I can't say that this is anywhere close the the best van or the kind of van I would make, but this has to have the most well thought out lighting, cameras, weather monitor, and security system of any van on RUclips.

Looks like your spot on. Great job with the van. I have a couple of minor space saving suggestions. First one is you could mount the table to the inside of the back door. Not only will it save you space under the sink, but it will make the table a little more accessible. The second suggestion is to mount the air compressor under the van. Those vans have a bunch of space underneath. It will also allow you to mount an air tank underneath. This will give you the ability to use minor air tools if you wanted.
You, BugOutMoto, have successfully built the batmobile, van version! Good job, you are smart guy to do this! You've given me good ideas for my van, keep the videos coming as you work on the van.

This is a great video, I have saved it. I just purchased a Ford Transit 250 long wheel base. 11 feet long inside the back. Bare. The insulation followed by reflective covering, solar panels, bed rug cover on floor and over cabinet and bed. All of these ideas are great and fits into how I think anyway. I even am looking into a Yamaha because you must like yours! You have sold me.

This is what I'm talking about! When lived in my Cargo van, I had limited resources and technology was much more different in 2007/9. So it is good to see this.
I used a thermoelectric cooler. 30 amp solar controller with 4 different size solar PANELS! Yes! Panels! There wasn't flexibles doing this time. I had a bank of acid batteries - 100 ah and 4 55 ah's.

started watching because of the montague bike, but stayed for the van. like the redunancy systems. I used to cruise california w/my dog along coast, into mountains and forests in a van i gutted. All I had was a spare tire and a rolled up futon but it was like a palace waking up on some PCH coastal overlook, my bike, my dog, my surfboard. I'm glad I did it. hard to recapture those days.
OMG this is amazing!! You have thought of everything! It's so organized. I love your outdoor shower tent. Your bed setup is brilliant! I've never understood why single people in vans give up so much space to a permanently situated double or queen bed. The fold up system you have really is brilliant with all the extra storage it provides!
