As soon as he said "D&H" and "Kansas," I knew he was headed to Silas' place. I've been following Silas for a while - ever since he cleaned out that Studebaker honey hole, and he's mentioned D&H before. Matter of fact, he did a junk yard crawl down there recently. I'm surprised 406 Garage hasn't been all over that.
Thank you so much for your awesome videos each week! Just found out my wife is having a baby! We have agreed that we will name him Jacob!!! Thank you for all that you do!
@lancephelps Congrats on your up and coming baby!!! I couldn't think of a better name unless of course you were to name him Ward which would be my name LOL. Have a great evening my Brother!!!!👍😎💯
Jacob is a great name but it's also an incredibly popular one, for at least 30 years running. Ask me how I know, I am one! No wonder Jacob Warner goes by his nickname!
Don’t you worry we’re gonna watch your videos, no matter what! You’re a great guy and thank you for your service to our country! God bless, Puddin, fab shop and family!
Silas is a good man and his videos are great. You took a great risk making that miles and walking so much through that snow so soon after that type of surgery. I am very thankful that the Lord kept His hand upon you! Blessings.
Had 2 of those 53-54 Hudson Jetliners once. 3 trim levels Jet, Super Jet & The Jetliner & that one you saw @ 20:00 had a rare continental kit option. They also made 1 dealer 2dr convertable & 25 Aluminum Hudson Italia Superleggera prototypes with Jet parts. It was supposed to be an economical car & delars let you try the "teacup test" a see thrugh cylinder mounted on the outside of the passengers window & a teacup of fuel would be added to see how long it would run for. originally designed with a lower roofline, but the higher ups wanted it tall enough to wear a hat while driveing & as a result, the Jet did the company in. They merged with Nash but went out in 57...

Props to Chris, the new video editor. Has captured the vibe of Puddin's adventures. As for that 58 Chevy, should have grabbed it. Ignored for a long time, they are increasing in value. A will it run, brakes and cosmetics and out the door for a profit.

I got off my ass and started my youtube channel a few months ago. My latest video was a junkyard walkaround. Thank you for being a motivation for us to get off our ass and finish our projects!
Finally, i feel like i hooked you guys up, i made silas from adventure made from scratch aware of you, and i posted several comments on this channel about silas 2, and here we are a couple of weeks later, im so glad i brought you guys together😃
I'm lucky enough to own a 1958 Mercedes 220s sedan. It is complete and I got it from the second owner. It was sitting in a garage from 1974. It is " next " in my builds.
Grew up a MOPAR man from age 14. Direct Connection used to put out a parts list that was needed for specific et's. You could follow the instructions and go low 13's without much effort. If you live long enough you love anything cool and based on what they build today, all the old stuff is cool.

Hahahahha currently looking for one for that reason I am going to make the first longbed typhoon out of my grand fathers 88 I got when he passed and instead of a single turbo setup thinking of doing a compound set up
That old early 50s International pickup brings back some good memories, My dad bought one in FtWorth. Texas in the early 70s for $60 cash painted red with a brush, I learned how to drive a 3 on the tree in that truck , that truck would start and run when everything else wouldn't, flathead 6 , 3spd on tree , dad finally sold it for $400 in the late 70s to a car dealer in Arlington, Texas , Dad owned a muffler shop, and rebuilt wrecked square body's when they were new , I learned everything a man needs to know about a square body from 1973 to 1987 , I used to be able tell you every size of every bolt on a square body. At 62 yrs old , my memory isn't that good
I know Silas and his father, I lived in Hutchinson for many years. We lived off of 96 hwy and 4th st until my wife's passing four years old ago, I am now in Wichita Kansas.
My grandma and grandpa bought a 1965 Mercedes in Germany when they went on a trip in 1967 and had it shipped back to the states. I wish they never sold it
You are right. It wasn't too long ago that you couldn't get a sideways glance for one. That year cost Chevy a lot going to a total rebody in 59. Silas looks for the 348s. Stay tuned.
Actually, the '58 Impalas have been a high dollar winner for several decades. Impalas only came in sport coupes and convertibles that year. The Bel Air, Biscayne and Del Rays were the tough sells and still don't command the big bucks quite yet, unless you find a 2-door post that's cherried out.
Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited. I've been waiting forever for you 2 RUclips's to Get together I watch both your channels. Pretty much started them at the same time.
Awd astro is always on my list. I want one to turn into a hot rod. The early awd transfer case was an awesome piece with a viscous coupler that splits power 60/40. Slap a turbo on it and it's practically a typhoon/syclone drivetrain in a package that nobody would suspect
Then at 17 minutes there is that white dodge Newport, a 2 door longer than most 4 doors. I had a 62 Chrysler 300 that I spent alot of time cleaning, but I sold it before I got a chance to do anything to it. I bought it for 250$, sold it for 1200$. But I've never seen another one (except in magazines and online)
Say what ya want about an old All Wheel Drive Astro van, but when I was in the Marine Corps we had one of these rigs when we were in Bridgeport California during cold weather training, and that thing drug us around through the snow and ice to all the cool natural hot springs in the area. Yup, we grilled us some chicken, while soaking in the natural hotspring tub, and the snow kept our beer cold. MAN, those were the good old days!! She was a tough van to stay together going where we went, and always got us there no matter how many times we tried to get her up the side of a mountain, but she always made it eventually!!!
It was good to meet you! Thanks again!

That stubby car is a Hudson Jet if anyone was wondering. That thing came out just before they merged with Nash to make AMC in the mid 50's.
