      @xLttPx then go to taco Bell. Freash hand made tortillas, sauces and meats cost money. Not to mention the overhead of a premium location, and staff here in SD with a $15 minimum wage.

    As a mexican, I appreciate the fact that you called them NOT tacos. That, and the statement of having real Mexican food close by. That shows respect for our culture…… and sure, I’d definitely like to grab some NOT Tacos some day.

    We had NNT for the first time today! What a great experience. Salmon was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth! We also had the lamb which was out of this world full of flavor. In addition, we saw Sam across the way at his new restaurant, Graze. Best of luck!

      I grew up in Utah where pastrami is regularly served on burgers--I'm really unsure where that came from, but it's phenomenal.

    I’ve been to your restaurant a couple times and I love your tacos! Korean short rib is legit! And their was a BLT special the last time I went which was amazing!

      He buys them raw then cooks them at his restaraunt. You can buy raw tortillas at mexican meat stores all over the usa, even kroger has them in some of their stores

Croissant,lightly buttered and tossed on the flat til lightly brown with zingy crisp sound. Throw on some sauce, say zeke sauce, or yum yum sauce. Bacon, but not just any bacon, you only use the best flavors known to mankind, hickory bacon with sprinkle of brown sugar, topping off the pig portion with a couple sightly cooked but not over cooked black forest ham. PEPPER PEPPER PEPPER! ETC ETC ETC....Sam, eggs are basic bitch shit, if they cant cook an egg without help, then lets face facts, they're not capable of cooking anything you've ever made. Stick to what you do best, blindly piling on ingredients until it doesnt fit in ones mouth.

    I just started watching your videos on RUclips, and I mentioned it to my mother, and her face lit up! It's because my brother bought one of your cooking books a while back, and she pulled out YOUR COOKING BOOK in our bookshelf! I thought that was so funny. Also, my family goes to Filippi's ALL the time, so I think I will go to NNT next time I'm there. Keep doing what you do, you're great at it.

    Love the creativity! I read some of the bad reviews of people on yelp complaining they weren’t “tacos”. Some people just don’t get it. They’re not tacos, but they’re not Not tacos. Duh. Keep doing what you do. My favorite cooking show of all time!

    What happens to the leftovers from these videos? I know bits of ingredients can go to making other dishes, but what do you do with the leftover finished product? Does it get saved for later, maybe goes to a neighbor or the gardeners if they've done good? Just a bit curious where it all goes.
    Other than that I love seeing all the different food made. Definitely one I'll keep an eye on the sub box for.

      The burros percherones sound fantastic but I have a issue with the Chihuahua cheese ... why would they make a cheese from the little dogs

    I was making tacos today to test out a recipe for camping trips and you post this. Love it and I'm planning on coming down to San Diego sometime soon and NNT is definitely on the to do list.

    Thanks for finally showing us your place! Looks awesome. I'm also a big fan of putting things in tacos that aren't Mexican. Who says something has to be "authentic" to be delicious?
    One of my favourite things to make at home is the beer cauliflower tacos from Thug Kitchen (and I'm not even a vegetarian). You take small cauliflower florets and boil them for like 2 minutes in vegetable broth with beer, soy sauce, crushed garlic, lime juice and sriracha, drain them, toss them with taco seasoning and roast them in the oven. Then, they go in a corn tortilla (sorry, Sam) with a simple lime cilantro slaw and some extra hot sauce. So good.

      @@Souzaphotos oh, true good point I've been told before that you're not supposed to use gloves while using a grill or flattop, but I haven't confirmed that. Sorta makes sense cuz I wouldn't want plastic glove on my food, but again, I haven't confirmed that.

    You're my hero! As a fellow Canadian (though I'm an East Coaster), I would move to San Diego in a heartbeat; one of my fave places to visit. And your backyard is my dream! I'd love to see you do some new stuff with fresh tuna (taco? Sandwich? Steak n fixins? Poke? salad?). Thanks for all of your videos.
