My husband and I are celebrating 55 years of marriage this year. My wish for you and German boyfriend is that you find a home within each other’s hearts as we have done. You will be able to face any challenge and any pleasure will be doubled as long as you are together. ❤
@ you will one day fall out of love with your partner. But be patient. Realize that while you are one by marriage- each of you is growing and changing constantly. If you are both committed to making things work one day you will look at your spouse and realize you are in love again. Perhaps more than ever. Put your marriage first. This is not a gender issue. Both of you take a vow. Both of you deserve to be the most important to each other. If you have children, they should have both of your love and care always. But they will grow and leave for a life of their own. For their sake show them that spousal love is the most important relationship. It is the umbrella that keeps them secure. Then they will demand this for themselves. And their own children will be secure. I hope your union will be blessed with love, joy, and strength.
You shone when you revealed your wedding dress. You look like a princess and German boyfriend will look like a prince. I am glad you went with the red aodai it looks great on you! As an American it was very interesting for me to see your reaction to the beach-side mansion. I don’t live in a house that big but we have really big houses over here so I have seen houses like that a lot but seeing your reaction gave me a new perspective on what is “normal” around the world!
Yeah that would be considered a pretty standard middle class normal sized house in much of the US. It's finished much nicer than many of the usual houses but size-wise is pretty standard. My house is considered "small" at 1100 sq ft/102 sq m
It’s coming together so beautifully!!! The wedding venue is a dream! The wedding dress couldn’t be more perfect, so elegant! The “puffiness thingy” you referenced is called a “cage crinoline” (pronounced krin-o-lin) in English and it adds volume and shape to the dress. The “hair accessory” is the veil and is very traditional in English and American wedding…it is a religious reference to the old Christian tradition of married women covering their hair. Though most Christian women don’t feel the need to follow this tradition, it’s still an elegant add on to any wedding outfit. Happy Wedding planning!
I love the fact that you are genuinely having fun, and excited about everything!! It really brings joy to us viewers to see you so happy. Wishing your ceremony to go smoothly and lots of love from us all!! 💗💗💕💕🫶
Dandelions would look so good on that card, so wispy and dreamy. It's found in both Vietnam and Germany, and symbolises resilience, hope, adaptability, transformation... all auspicious meanings that I wish for the both of you on your wedding. All the best, Uyen and German fiancé!
There is nothing like being a first time bride. You should enjoy it; when I married my German boyfriend, every day was a new, exciting adventure. Forty years later, I still recall the immense pleasure of the UPS truck arriving with invites, gifts, dresses and more.

Oh, those invitations were perfect! They are stunning! The dress is stunning! The location is stunning! All of it. So excited for these two! ♥
I’ve had a long day and seeing you shine so radiantly has brought me joy. Your genuine kindness and excitement is so inspiring. I wish you and your husband a lifetime of happiness.
Flowers have so many different meanings! You can look up flowers representing your wedding month, either/both of your birthday months, or even those that have thematic meanings that resonate with your relationship the most. Good luck and remember that no matter what you choose, it'll be special because it's so obvious how much care and thought you're putting into it. 💛
I'm the middle of wedding prep too, and it's so relatable, how being a bit flexible can get you things to be MUCH cheaper. I'm glad you are finding things that make you happy!
It's crazy, some people pick a dress that is absolutely who they are and brings out all their inner beauty. The second you spun around, I just was in awe!!! You're already beautiful, and this dress just makes you shine even more!! 🤩🥰🥰🥰 and to be clear, BOTH dresses are stunning on you!!!
What is the magic of wedding dresses? I consider myself a modern, independent woman but the moment i saw your wedding dress!!!! I was squaking! So elegant and sparkly. Just wonderful.
Tip for sitting with hoop skirts: Lift your bottom in back, tilting your pelvis so your gluteal muscles raise up while your belly button goes forward sort of like your hips (just your hips!) are trying to bend your upper body over toward the floor. At the same time, you can reach through the material of your skirts to grab one of the hoop rings. When you do that, tilt it UP in the back, and down in the front, to help give you more fabric in back. If that's awkward (skirts with a lot of chiffon & crinoline mesh are admittedly hard to grab through), there's also a move just before you sit down. After tilting your hips to lift your bottom in back, you sort of thrust your backside backward a little so that your skirt slides toward the back along the seat. This will make sure you get enough fabric to ALLOW the puffy backside to have room so it doesn't pull and warp awkwardly. This latter move may need to feel a bit exaggerated for the type of gown you're wearing, given how much fabric there is, but practice can help make the move look very graceful. If you can do it in one smooth motion, nobody will know what your hips are doing under all that fabric, trust me! For most 'Puffy Skirt' dresses, this backside-lift-and-thrust move works because you're literally giving the curve of your seated backside a lot more fabric to work with when sitting, rather than trapping it tightly under your bottom and thighs, pulling the skirt down in back (and up in front with a hoop skirt) from not having enough fabric to cover all the extra curves. For hoop skirts specifically, by giving more fabric to cover the curve of your backside when you sit, you can also force the hoops to angle down in front, rather than rise up in front. The last thing you want to do is have not enough fabric in back, because that literally causes the back-of-the-legs part of the hoops to get trapped flat under your thighs, which makes the front part try to rise up vertically, and that's just no good. (If I still had a hoopskirt, I'd do a quick video to demonstrate, but alas, I had to downsize when moving a few years back!)
You’re like a friend, a dear sweet friend whose smile and joy is so infectious because you’re so beautifully genuine and gracious. I’m teary eyed 🥹 I hope you and German fiancé have a wonderful wedding and an even more wonderfully blessed marriage moving forward. Thank you for sharing these precious moments with us.

When I think of German flowers, cornflowers and poppies come to my mind first. They’re all over the place in the fields in the region I grew up in. The cornflower is also the unofficial German national flower, so that would be a solid choice. But maybe I‘m saying that only because it’s my favorite.

But they will grow and leave for a life of their own. For their sake show them that spousal love is the most important relationship. It is the umbrella that keeps them secure. Then they will demand this for themselves. And their own children will be secure. I hope your union will be blessed with love, joy, and strength.
@ thank you

You shone when you revealed your wedding dress. You look like a princess and German boyfriend will look like a prince. You are a success story from your village and be proud of that, have your dream wedding in your dream dress and remember you deserve that and don't need to justify your choices. Stunning. I'm so happy for you both, and wish you both every success.
Uyen, I love how you usually go on camera authentically, without loads of makeup and filters. So refreshing! But also, your makeup looks amazing, too. You can have both 💁♂️
I started crying when I was you in your dress. You look BEAUTIFUL!!
German BF is going to lose it!
Congratulations to you both! I appreciate you taking us on this journey with you.
das übermaß an begeisterung die Uyen für alles hat, begeistert mich auch ❤
It‘s so great and also fun to see how you kinda „grow“ back into being your „vietnamese beauty“ and really seem to enjoy it - after you seem to come from a background of being pressured with having to present beautifully.
But it‘s a bit unnecessary that they point out your sliiightly not straight back… but i guess its vietnamese ;))
@@siljamattmann8728 vietnamese or not, it is awfully rude. pros and cons to every culture.
But like why did I tear up when you came out in your wedding dress? Clearly we adore you! You are beautiful!
My mom literally had her wedding after a typhoon. All the nurses and doctors from the hospital she worked at came by after/during work to eat the catering food, and they still had leftovers! So as long as you have a happy wedding day, I think that's what matters 😅😉
And the dress is beautiful!!! 😘
You have teally GOOD TASTE. That wedding dress id BEAUTIFUL...That venue is BEAUTIFUL TOO AND EVEN THE INVITATIONS ARE BEAUTIFUL!❤
Your smiling joy is absolutely like a sunshine. Thanks for sharing this little or big moments with us. My words are missing. Just wish you the best. A french guy 🇫🇷
Uyen, you are one of my favorite creators, you come across as a very sweet, genuine, and humble person! As a resident of the US I am having a hard time with our current political climate, and your videos truly bring me joy during these dark times.
Also, thank you for bringing us along for the wedding planning, I smiled a lot watching your video as I remembered my wedding a few years ago. I wish you and German fiancé have a long and happy marriage!
Also living in the US, and yes, I agree, Uyen is a nice refreshing contrast to our current sinister situation here.
Sending good vibes over ❤
You voted for Trump so I have no sympathy
@@doriswaddington2418 It doesn't sound like she did.
@@yasmine4754😂🤣😂 We finally have an actual leader hitting it out of the park in only his first few weeks of office. Best thing ever! Never been more excited for our country than I have been in a long time.
I really love that you're vlogging about your wedding! It's so much fun to see, it almost feels like you're a friend, and I'm so excited for you and GB! This channel is the most wholesome content in all of youtube.
Oh my goodness! The dress is absolutely gorgeous, and the ao dai is the perfect color for you. I also love the idea of the ammonite seal. It's perfect for you and German Boyfriend! I love your enthusiasm for the whole wedding planning process.
I love that red dress on you. From the first time I saw it on you, I felt it was truly beautiful on you. You shine in this traditional dress.
I'm happy to see this journey, from German Boyfriend to Fiance and soon to be German Husband. You guys are such a sweet couple. I just wish your wedding will smoothly success and blessed with happiness.
Seeing your smile while you had the dress on and your smile is so infectious.
It's making me cry❤
Candle stamp = wax seal
Skirt puffiness thingy = hoop for skirt
Thingy going over your head = veil
The white textured thingy on the card = embossing
I got tears in my eyes when I saw you in your wedding dress, you look so pretty. Your joy is contagious.❤
Yes! I’m Vietnamese American and was thinking wow that mansion looks kinda like the big houses in Texas!
The way I instantly thought your makeup was done by a professional! You're so talented, Uyen!
Why do I always feel filled with pure joy when I'm watching the wedding preparations, as if it's a dear family friend or niece or something? 🥰 I think it just speaks to how wonderful Uyen & GB's content is that these videos elicit that kind of reaction from so many people. Oh, those invitations were perfect! They are stunning! The dress is stunning! The location is stunning! All of it. So excited for these two! ♥
You sound so sweet :') sending love
Wishing you and German fiance a lifetime of love. Thank you for taking the world on your journey to this moment in your lives.
Uyen’s excitement is contagious and uplifting. Wishing a lifetime of happiness for yall 🥰
My favorite part is how happy you look in the process, it shows that you feel pretty in your dresses and it warms my heart
Your joy, your happiness, your love for you two together, is really communicative and warms my heart
I cried so hard watching this! Im so happy for you and wish the absolute best to you and your husband
You are the perfect bride ...elegant, excited and filled with joy ....wishing you both the brightest of blessings...
Uyen, you look stunning in all the dresses but just like my mom used to say “Stand tall and show confidence, you are beautiful”
Congrats uyen, i've never really been this happy for someone i only know from internet
I love the fact that you're always real with us and when you actually put make up you inform us
15:41 😭😭😭😭😭 YOU'RE RADIANT!!!
I'm not married, but I'm happier for you than I'd feel for my own wedding :D You'll have the most wonderful wedding and the life ahead as a wife.
Congratulations! The blushing veil with your gown is PERFECTION. May you and future German Husband have many, many happy years together.
You could get artwork of cornflower and lotus, they are national flower for Germany and Vietnam.
Personally I love buttercups, because they are very simple and versatile.
Thank you for taking us along, you make a stunning bride!💜

OMG I JUST FOT THE NOTIFICATION AND GIRL YOU LOOK SO PRETTY IM SO EXCITED TO WATCH THIS
Uyen, you truely shine in your gowns... so lovely and elegant!
Uyen has a talent for the makeup artistry. She looks even more beautiful.
Thank you for taking us on your journey! I hope you two have many many years of happiness ahead of you.
You’re always remained so DTE, Yuen & that’s why we love you. So happy for you both, you’re a wonderful couple. I really enjoyed your unabashed enthusiasm & joy in planning your wedding. You looked beautiful in both of your gowns & a did a great job on your makeup. Congratulations to you both. Two lovely people, from different parts of the world, who found one special love. 💕
I have enjoyed your videos and subscribed approximately 2 years ago.
I prefer shorts over longer videos but I just had to click on this one as it's such a milestone in your life.
I did laugh when you were discussing how the veil would shield your identity because if I'm not mistaken, to date, we still have not seen the face of the groom to be!! 😂
Having lived in Europe and in Asia and now in the states I am glad that you took the time to show both customs dresses. It has been common for years for a bride to have both represent her past and future.
Could not be happier for you!! 🎉

OMG the fossil on the wax seal is really genius! Congrats❤
Such a great choice for the seal to honor the things your husband-to-be loves!
I literally gasped and cried some tears when you in your dress was revealed. So beautiful!! You did a great job choosing the design. Thanks for sharing with us!
When I think of German flowers, cornflowers and poppies come to my mind first. They’re all over the place in the fields in the region I grew up in. The cornflower is also the unofficial German national flower, so that would be a solid choice. But maybe I‘m saying that only because it’s my favorite.
I got married in Taiwan, but your videos bring back memories. The stories I can tell...
So excited for you! ❤
5:40 Embossing! The paper is embossed when it's raised up like that - very elegant! (Edit: and the puffy thing for the dress could be a hoop skirt or crinolline)
girl i’m crying, you look stunning, the dress made you shine even more❤❤
The ammonite wax seal is such a sweet touch. ❤
German boyfriend and Uyen are the best couple ever ❤ wish them the very best.
You look absolutely stunning in your wedding dress. I wish you and your fiancé the very best and a wonderful fun-filled life together 🥰🥰
So excited for you and GBF! Congratulations, and may you both have a beautiful wedding day ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Oh I genuinely teared up at the dress reveal. So happy to see you so happy. 🥰 Of course it's stunning, and your makeup is gorgeous, but the most beautiful thing about it is your joy.
Love how you "put you butt down" elegantly, you're absolutely a beautiful Princess ❤
YAY!!! I’m so happy for you Uyen ❤❤
I’ve never been this excited for someone to get married!!! 🤩
Wishing you two all the best! 💚
It's so nice to hear you say "my husband" and to see you so happy. Good luck with your wedding!
Not into the marriage game myself, but I’m so so happy for you Uyen. It’s really a blessing to be able to enjoy every moment of the wedding preparation, even if it can be stressful sometimes. Can’t wait to watch more of you and German soon-to-be husband! Seriously, wish you all the best, I’m sure you will have the most wonderful wedding and marriage ever! ❤
you look STUNNING in both dresses !! Everyone can tell you love them because you are literally GLOWING in it !! 🤍✨
