That old bed is still better than most available in rust belt states. Sell it to someone in in the north and they’ll say, “That’s not too bad!” They use tax $ for salt and, like any gov’t program, it eats away at your property’s value. I love the channel!
This junk bed is now a trash trailer bed, and still in better shape than Mikes truck bed after that accident that could of killed someone. Glad that these old truck beds are still around. Induction heat on nuts and bolts is a game changer... used in cooking in the kitchen as well as quick heat for cooking
Yea, that's a nice bed. Glad to see you guys taking care of those older trucks still running and making money for their owners. I would leave that bullet hole im the tail gate. There's got to be a good story behind that! Paint it and leave that hole looking like exactly what it is; a bullet hole! I'll always remember when I was a young kid my uncle told me that a truck would make you money, but hot rods only cost you money. Of course I was building my very first car, a 56 Checvy 210 with a 327, muncie 4 speed, posi, American Mag wheels and more. It took me a little while to finally figure out what he was saying... lol
often times i just replace the whole bedside on rgem with a new bed panel and ya doing it by urself sucks until you get wiser, which took me till about 10 years ago so i made me myself a custom bed roller cart that allows me to work on cab and front clip sections as i finish them.. i made it adjustable on every corner so i can make wider and longer if needed by sliding square tubing in & out the ends to lengthen when needed also made it adjustable height settings so i can raise so no matter what I'm not hunched over for hours sanding away or patching away i put the thing on some HF casters that are the big solid cast with thin layer of rubber round them like what comesbon our commercial scaffolding for construction and all i do is use my engine hoist i modified with the air over hydraulic ram and its made it possible for me again after i had surgeries on both my ankles where simply walking isn't that easy even with the use of a cain anymore the only thing that pisses me off is why couldn't i had thought of it like 20-25yrs ago instead of waiting till medically i had no choice.. lol..
Looks better and straighter with less body filler. Yeah it's not great but better than what was on it and you still have a trailer that can be used as well. Good deal.
Right? He should just switch the beds, and put the old bed right back on the trailer and down the road he can just order some patch panels if he wants to fix that bed too!
Good video thanks for sharing and thanks to the others that helped you. I have done that before by myself with just a tree and blocking so it is good to have friends that will help!
I reversed 4 times at timestamp 10:26 even tried to read your lips and it sounded like give thanks to "Asshole's Garage". Lots of Garages in Utah with strange names. It could have been Hassoles Garage, could you spell it for us? Maybe you will make a Shawn Trailer just not as elaborate as Mikes'. Got to keep Hector busy. Thanks for showing us a tool I have never heard of. If I can't remove a carriage bolt, I usually take an angle grinder and cut a slot in the top for a thick large flat screwdriver and if that does not work cut the top off. Is the Red 4 x 4 Ford going to be a project truck too?
Put that ground on the outside of the frame instead so it doesn't need to cross over the top of the frame rail and route the others under the frame rail or drill it and grommet to run through!
Less work to build a flatbed, flatbeds are sweet! Just saying, You could build a flatbed. A sweet flat bed, with four winches. Just saying, the bed is a doo Doo ton of work,,, to just be average, 😊
Shawn, Can you use your native american bird language to check on my mother, she left us on the 16th of Jan, and it's either you Mike, and Mikes indian is pretty Sketchy.
Yes! I'm super excited about this project! 👍
It’s gonna be a good time
@shawnbylilly heck yeah!
Why not just switch bedsides,? Easy peasy, your floor is in alot better shape.
Hector's next project
Hector, you're excited 24/7/365!
I found you I have been away on some jobs to come back to the new Shawn Show. Right on.
Great work guys, Jon UK
That engine sounds good!
Always nice to have good friends

Shawn, I love my inductive heater. Great tool when needed!

That sounds like a great way to make working on your project easier!
Induction heaters are my new favorite way of removing rusty bolts ... so much quicker / easier / safer than anything else
Looks better and straighter with less body filler. Yeah it's not great but better than what was on it and you still have a trailer that can be used as well. Good deal.
The best thing about the show is the all-around view.
You get shop work you get family life you get trail rides you get it all.
Those induction heaters are worth their weight in gold on old vehicle projects.
Bed swap???
Sounds like a diddy party on the Shawn show. 😂❤
It doesn't look too bad for it's age! You can get patch panels for it!
Good job on the bed swap on the crew cab nice guys to let you borrow the shop and help. Good video and content Shawn.
its good you have some helpful friends
Those inductive heaters are awesome especially in places you can't safely use a torch
I hope you get to keep the trailer , so many options.
Thanks for the video

Shawn, over all, just from the video, I think you existing bed looks better than the replacement.
Induction heater tools are awesome
Just a few more bed swaps away from having a show truck. 😂

Hello shawn

Put that ground on the outside of the frame instead so it doesn't need to cross over the top of the frame rail and route the others under the frame rail or drill it and grommet to run through!
great video !!!!!
Did you have that cover custom made for the buggy? That's bad@$$!
Oh Yes!
Just buy some bed sides from LMC or keep the old bed.
Just unbolt and switch them.
@Michael666CA that's what I was thinking but that passenger side is rough.
Less work to build a flatbed, flatbeds are sweet! Just saying,

Hey shawn
Chevy bed on a Dodge. So what do you call it now. A Dodgevy? LOL.
Shawn, Can you use your native american bird language to check on my mother, she left us on the 16th of Jan, and it's either you Mike, and Mikes indian is pretty Sketchy.
Also, if she replies for me to stop being an asshole, we will know it's her!
Does this mean Mike and Sean show is over ? Have they officially been divorced?
Lets go camping!
👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I enjoy every episode, Shawn! Thanks !!
