I have been waiting for at least 10 years for this tune to post. I was at Fountain Park in Piqua, Ohio when they played there. I had heard them on the radio and I liked the song a lot. Thanks for posting this.
Ralph Wilson is the bassist on this song and was the bassist for the Crystal Rain's classic 1969-1971 lineup. Perhaps your uncle was in a later lineup of the Crystal Rain?
I just checked this out for the first time because the name Crystal rain caught my eye I thought it was a cool name for a band so I checked out the song I'm glad I did it's a great piece of psychedelic music what year was this released
The classic lineup for The Crystal Rain was Bill Moan (drums and vocals), Jerry Scott (organ), Ralph Wilson (bass), and Chuck Hodell (guitar). That was their lineup 1969-1970/1971 and is the lineup on this and their only other 45, "World on Fire." There were later iteration of the band, including one with a female singer. Perhaps your uncle played in one of the later lineups?
Two of my brothers and a step brother playing in this. Goosebumps from a LONG time ago!
This is my Dad, Bill Moan. ♥️ He just passed away. 😞 Thank you for sharing this!
I just bought the 45. Incredible song. Sorry for your loss.
