Since this is a psychedelic song with wonderfully kaleidoscopic fragmented and obtuse lyrics it made sense to me that this would be the kind of stuff you might encounter after ingesting a four-way tab... but then again, I'm not Canadian! I grew up in Montreal in the 60s and never heard of these guys until now. Yeah i was maybe 8 years old when they recorded this thing and I was too young to see them at their venues but even so...

I saw them at the 1st of 2 rock concerts at the Autostade in 1970 (??). They blew the place down and played many songs from the "Are You Experienced" album by Hendrix. They were great. They were not outmatched by other bands like the Who, and Mitch Ryder. I can't remember the other bands (Our Generation maybe, a local band).

Nice footage!!! I bought their album in about '86...loved these guys, mostly kinda folky, but 1-2-5 was raw. Vapeur Mauve was pretty cool too.

The lyrics are tantalizing, and the beat is very groovy.

There are equally good as this or even better maybe, but in the end it's a matter of taste. Anyways 1-2-5 is an absolute 💎

thought about the velvets, "up to Lexington/125/feel sick and dirty/more dead than alive", and i believe this 125 refers to the number of the bus he took up to where he scored...

For the last 28 odd years I'd been thinking the opening lyrics were "Walking down the street on a four way tab, I saw a young girl standing under glass" .glad I finally got that straight .
