So glad Bromley is getting some love from a big name guy like Dave and I know he had to love going up to EliteFTS and do a tabletalk he’s helped me a ton on understanding good programming.
This was one of the most informative podcast episodes that I have ever listened to. Its really unusual that any podcast is so information dense while being 4 hours long AND unscripted. I listened to the podcast in one go while driving and I already know that I will be listening to the whole thing again and that its going on my list of episodes to periodically re-listen to.
Huge fan or Bromley and Elitefts. Been following Elitefts for years and have gotten different products from them, always great quality. Found Bromley in the last couple years and am currently doing coaching with him. Great guy and things are going well so far. Was a great surprise to see him on the podcast today!
@@ourmanhemmingwaay6707 bromley is coaching him . And i have noticed significant gains using his style of training . Im using a templete out of his book base strength and strength is going up like crazy . Love his stuff i suggest you buy his books there not expensive . Ive bout every josh bryant book and alex is way bettter at going into detail an teaching the principals . And he has several templetes as well as teaches you how to draw your own program up . Josh didnt do that he had a few templetes but didnt put in his books how to train year long just a few 8 week an 12 week peaking templetes an one offseason 8x8 prorgam
@Our Man Hemmingwaay he's coaching me. Helping me overcome tye issues I've had and especially in getting to Squat and pull decently after having a terrible disc herniation all while cutting. Very pleased so far. Can imagine the gains I would make once in a caloric surplus.
I have learned more from alex then anyone in the game bought all his books . Very nice of you to put him on your channel to get more exposure to his channel .
Wow, so many subtleties and nuance discussed here. I love this. Getting the chance to put myself next to you in the driver’s seat to watch the way you both make decisions on how to wrk the gears. Seeing the thought process with multiple toy examples. Whether it was planned or not, this is a great format. And I feel like it provided a lot of intuition, and I think I have a better understanding of why prescriptions are given and in what ways they are fluid. Great to see 2 of my favorite 3 RUclips binge-watch podcasters/content creators come together. The result may have very well been greater than the sum of the parts. If we could get Israetel to sit down at the same table with both of you (I haven’t seen him sit down with Bromley yet), that would be my Christmas!
Was only curious about this episode because I wanted to see dave asked him about his critical take on westside and even Swede Burns(as a person) and 5th Set he is super critical of other people. Curious if he keeps that same tone on the is episode. EliteFTS is the real deal and always appreciate Dave and all he does for the sport. Cool he is even having a convo with alex.
Monetization portion was great and needed. It used to be that way too many people thought creative content is something that a creator should provide for free. Finally more people are learning.
Been waiting for these two to meet up. Great information and entertainment. Glad to see AB make it to this platform. He’s been putting out great content for years.
The thing that I find so discouraging about what Bromley said at 3:09 about the middleweight strongman just not being as interesting as the heavyweights is so discouraging. It’s just sad how little the general public knows about strength sports. The middle weights, and even the lightweights are by far the best athletes, some of the guys on the podium are lifting 80-90% of what the heavyweights do at half their body weight. The speed that some of them have on moving events and how they throw objects ect is amazing.
Great interview and information. I met Alex some 8 years ago and hands down one of the smartest and humble people I’ve met. Very strong overhead press and practice what he preaches.
This is my second comment , my first one i was just excited to see this up now that i have listend to the whole thing i have to say well done , this is by far the best podcast i have ever listened to in my life . Great job on both of you guys for keeping the conversation going for so long and keeping this absolutly intresting . Ive never sat through 4 hours an been so into hering two individules talk about a subject . I was a bit sad when it was over . This is very rare , yall kept going the whole time . Pretty damn impressive how much you guys know on the subjects and how well yall corrisponded an made this 4 hours of enjoyment . Well done guys👏. Got another level of respect for dave as well excellent host .
This one is going to be awesome! Love seeing Dave finally branching outside of strictly powerlifting! P.S. - Still need to at least virtually get Big Loz on here to help educate Dave Tate on everything Strongman!!!! And just be awesome listening to those two for a couple hours! Marine Mike 🇺🇸 💪
3:31:18 The entire show was thought out and useful one of the best I’ve seen that resonates with me! Picked up the table talk T-shirt to support the show
1:28:00 proud to say I was one of the people pushing back about Westside 😂 still maintain that Westside was never concerned with technical lifting as much as improving generalised strength in the powerlifting sphere. It translated well but it does heavily rely on some lifter intelligence which isn’t always easy to come by. Truly bad genetics can’t be overcome and those people aren’t at Westside to test.
A momentous, well deserved appearance and triumph for the beginner, intermediate and advanced lifter. Few have done more good than Bromley to simplify and clarify the fundamentals of programming for strength training; nor to debunk the rampant horsesh*t that is literally bursting out of the fitness industry. Perhaps, only superseded by the gentleman interviewing him.
Another great podcast!! I think another cool podcast guest would be Dane Miller from garage strength I think he would be really interesting to hear from
It may have been Barbell Logic or Barbell Medicine with the flow chart. Probably Barbell Logic. Haven’t seen a lot of their content though so I’m not sure
I legit forgot about this cat, lol. I believe it was 2017 and I emailed AB and asked about sign ups at his gym. I told him my goal was to train strongman so I could one day break or set a new one arm circus dumbbell press record. His email reply was like a poorly scripted Ben Stiller character playing a gym owner. He told me there's no way no matter how hard I trained could I ever break an all time record. He went into great detail as a Ben Stiller type character would talk down to a stranger off the street. So he ended up talking me out of signing up for his gym. And I ended up in powerlifting, and then strict curl, then ultimately 10 time power curl record holder. 8 World Records 2 National Records. So I forgot about this Alex dude, but I'm glad he finally made it too. God is good 🙏
You showed an immense amount of ignorance and disrespect to the sport by saying you wanted to put 250lbs on your one arm db IN A YEAR. I set you straight like any responsible coach would. Of all the things that make a world record, delusions of grandeur aren't one of them.
Four hours of Dave and Bromley? This might be the greatest thing ever.
Andrew tates dad no wonder he’s so smart
Yuh
Bromley channel is most excellent. He has really raised his game this year. His most recent video, ‘70s Powerlifter, was so awesome.
Totally Agee!
I remember Bromley thinking it was awesome when you mentioned him on the show awhile ago. Being on the show must've been heaven for him.
I too remember this
Bromley's contributions to disseminating and explaining strength knowledge is invaluable. Absolute game changer when I discovered him.
This is the crossover episode I have been needing in my life. Cant wait for the convo!
RT
Dave has an amazing way of bringing out the best in people

Alex's content has done more for my programming than anything else. He has been a huge been a huge benefit to the online fitness community.

absolutely loved the professionalism shown in the video. minimal interruption and genuine conversation
A 4 hour podcast with Bromley, one of YT’s best content creators right now? Did I save Jesus in a past life or something?
A very good and productive table talk

Damn they really go at it with the training principles, love this , thanks for the video

A wealth of knowledge here-- not mention, one of the coolest collabs I've seen in awhile. I watched the WHOLE THING.

Well, this is a REALLY good surprise ! Happy to see you both have a chat
My spirit animal and sensei... greatest collaboration in lifting.
Bromley has been my most awaited guest here for the long time alongside with Dr. Mike XD Israerel. Great to see the guy at the table!
Been waiting for Bromley to be on and it did not disappoint! Superb all the way through. Here's to a part two in a few months
Man I can’t believe how long I’ve waited, and asked, for this convo!
I been watching more Bromley lately. Very solid content creator.
Monetization portion was great and needed. It used to be that way too many people thought creative content is something that a creator should provide for free. Finally more people are learning.

This was an amazing conversation. Thanks to both of you and the EliteFTS team for putting this out there
Rewatched! Gold! One of your best Dave
Thanks EFTS Dave and Bromley. Fantastic podcast frrom my two favorite youtubers

Bromley is a solid dude and an educational goldmine with no bullshit.
Alex speaks so well, really impressive.

possibly my favourite episode yet

This podcast was amazing! Please bring Bromley back one day 🙏
Good stuff. Love the strongman crossovers. Nice to get different views on programming and training.
Don’t mind me, I’m just rewatching this for the tenth time, still picking up new things. Did I say it’s awesome?
Bromley getting the recognition he deserves
This is EXACTLY what I needed!
Amazing! Ty for this one!
My algorithm is quickly becoming mostly Dave's Table Talks lmfao and i have no problem with this at all!
This table talk was amazing
Big fan of both, can't wait to listen to it all while driving and stuffing my face

Can we get links to the books mentioned during the podcast?

This is the lifting equivalent of listening to Tolkien and C.S. Lewis talk for 4 hours.
lmao
