To prevent the progression of diabetic eye disease, it is crucial to effectively manage your diabetes ABCs: keeping your A1c levels (a measure of blood sugar over time), blood pressure, and cholesterol under control. Additionally, we recommend undergoing a dilated eye examination at least once a year for early detection and management.
