Then as players commit add other guys that still have open recruitment and no offers as you get guys committed. Then use the portal to get whatever else you need at the end or you can’t hit the high school guys heavy instead at that time. Signed a top 40 class with Troy my 1st season and top 25 my 2nd season. Scout your 3 stars in the preseason, find the gems, and remove the rest, get 8-10 gems on the board and send the house. Once you have their deal breakers, hard sell, dm them, bring them on a visit. Some will commit early, find another gem, or focus on needs. Fill the gaps in your roster during the following off season and from the portal, I’ve got Georgia Southern in the playoffs, competing. The BIG12 by focusing on gems that can wait a year or two to develop. A trick with the big time recruits is to focus solely on pipeline, cast a wide net in the first off season, choose one or two who aren’t highly recruited, then go to town

I started a dynasty with a 2 star prestige team as a recruiting coach. I found it important to only target around a dozen players at a time for the positions I need most for my play style. I didn’t do much scouting at first, but found that later on when bigger name schools put their name in the hat that there was something more to these players. I also tailored my schedule so that I could get some exposure by beating some higher ranked teams. I beat a Top 25 team by 3 points and it helped a lot when it came time to schedule visits and to get closer to a commitment. If I saw some players leave me at the bottom or off their list although I sent the house, I’d take them off my board and find a replacement ASAP. It all worked out perfectly. Spend your coaching points on the top positions you want to secure first also, if you’re a recruiting coach. That plus having a winning season will make your Transfer Portal signings much easier. I can’t wait to see how far I can take this team

Instead of just keeping send the house on the Top 5 list. Do soft sells if you know one of their interests. Players with deal breakers are the easiest to find out an interest. I found that that’s the fastest to figure out the interests. And 3 soft sells or a hard sell and a soft sell is way better than just a hard sell. Sway can work on players to get two really good soft sells for 40 hours (6-12 points) vs a hard sell and a soft sell for 60 hours (8-12 points)

The top 8 stage is important . I used Marshall and I was recruiting 4 stars easily . Almost got a few 5 stars but I didn’t even start putting points on them until like week 4 . It’s important any player who has you first on the interest add them to the board first too ex ( 5 stars first 4 stars next highest int 3rd and then 3 stars and under ) if you have interested ppl they’ll possibly commit as soon as you offer a scholarship that way you can sign prospects early and focus your points on those higher recruits early

Nice video! Couple things I'll add, sorting the top players by interest level. Get every player you can with you in there top 5 teams and you have a great shot at landing those recruits. Another one is after a few weeks in the season lookup top players with no scholarship offers, offer them and send the house and you're immediately the top team on their list.

I started as defensive coordinator tactician, for Louisville I struggled my first year recruiting finished the end of the season was 80 and after off season we finished 58 . Year 2 about the same was 77 at season end and 52 after off season,
Year 3 was almost horrible I was 108 season end, but was able to get 56 off season. Year 4 was 80 season end and finally hit my best class after off season at 34, then I left for Tulane HC job and finished about same as when I was Louisville coordinator, we was 93 then 52
My first season as a HC finished 10-2 and a bowl win I stayed year 2 at Tulane and went undefeated conference championship and made playoffs we lost in the first play off game to Georgia in a shootout 38-35 and I packed my bags for Texas , my first recruiting class at Blue blood Texas was 25 , after 1 season at Texas and winning 9 game's I actually left for my Alma matter Louisville I'm in my first year there it's week 3 and I'm working the phone and trying to get some 4-star and 5 stars I believe that we are 87 across the board on overall too. Recruiting is good but it's tougher than the old game's I'm taking any advice I can reason I'm on here watching you

What has worked for me as a 1 star school.
Step 1: Go to Recruit List Sort by State and interest, Scout every 4 Star that's at the top of the list i usually do about 20 4 stars 15 3 stars
Step 2: give all scholarships and scout 3 stars and remove broken gems
    Step 3: sim the week
Step 4 go back to your list send the house and DM the player 60 total points on your top 6 must have 4 star players that are in top 3 interest
    Step 5: Sim Week
Step 6: check your list and see if you can schedule a visit. If you can, do it immediately. (the reason is to learn the prospects interests)
Step 7: once visit is scheduled check and see if you have Hard Sell and make sure you have atleast 2 of the check marks unlocked (once you do it enough you know what the 3rd one is if its greyed out and you go off the block combos)
Step 8 wait for your 4 stars to all accept your scholarship and by week 6 you should have roughly four 4 star players.
Step 9: go back to list and any players from before that have a top 3 interest send the house and repeat the above steps.
Step 10: In 2-3 years dominate.
Also dont forget to Redshirt your freshman's that arent starting!
    Hope this helps anyone!

Something I noticed is if you’re a school in a big state like Florida then you’re more likely to get more 4 stars because of how many their are in the big states. If you’re in a really small state like Maryland you have a much higher chance of maybe getting 2 or 3 5 stars because there isn’t much competition so if you find a small state player who cares about proximity to home then you have a good chance to get him.

Send the house should only be used 1 week only when you are going after a player when you aren’t on their board and you have no pipelines. Much more value with dm and family. You learn traits and as soon as they push to top 5 switch to soft sell and schedule visit asap(if you way out in front dont bother with visit). Should have 1/2 interest unlocked at this time. will be 2 options once you know the 2 interests. Soft sell and family give much more value even if you hit 2/3. Next week do hard sell and dm and you pretty much lock players. Really need to pay attention to pace they are signing. Juggle time week to week. Send the house really just speeds up the signing process going from top 8 to 5 to 3 and stresses your points. Hard and soft sell are your most influence. Soft sell and sway can work really well too but that can make for too much thinking/time. Main thing is only go after 10-15 at a time. Start with maybe 15-20. Also stack your visits with complimentary players huge boosts.
