Alright, I am a programmer. The way he being so quick in replying you back and making you feel more suspicious about him simply means that he might be running a javascript on his email. it is something similar to a bot reply. That is why he was so swift in replying you back. Aleena, you really need to stay away from these fake brand-promotion requests. They all want to gain access to your personal information, accounts, signups and even call history. Being a programmer, I really feel guilty that these types of lunatic's odd ways of gaining information from those, who they don't even know really earn a bad name among the programming fraternity. Never reveal your private information to anyone, especially those who you don't even know. Keep doing the good work, youtube is all yours.
Being a hardcore software developer, let me tell you that if you have clicked any link on the email , it didn't matter if u installed file or not...there is high chance that your PC got malware attack. And most of your PC browser passwords etc are already uploaded to hackers server...I m not scaring you but to some extent it can even navigate to other devices connected to your router and even that info may have been uploaded...thankfully in India you need otp to do transaction so he may not be able to use your bank account even if he has...so only thing g to remember is not to open or even touch any link in email.....just ad the person to reveal his full identity with contact details and better ask him to shoot any content or video by himself n send to you via RUclips
That's great information, but usually in the high competent world, we don't have so much time to give all our attention to one particular thing right? So what do we do in such cases, for example this girl who clicked on the link, has been doing it for a long time, and in case we ask the person to record their video and whatever, or reveal their personal details, a valid person can also refuse to do this, what do we do in such case? Isn't there any way to detect in mail box itself, whether the person is spam or not

They generally make spelling mistakes and grammar mistakes in their attempt to impress the user. In your video, in the first mail screenshot , there are few, likein the 2nd line "you are a RUclips" ,which is wrong. There is "forced manipulation” in 2nd line of 2nd paragraph. His mail would look weird. And ofcourse like you mentioned the site was not appropriate, like some odd things you will notice. So I hope those who read this comment would now be more cautious about social engineering and hacking. Please be safe on internet. 🙏🙏 Note - My ex roomie has already gone through this experience and has lost a large amount of money in an attempt to connect to that hacker by going to their site and clicking on a link using her mobile.

Very informative video, just to add my two cents ...Aleena never ever open or install any unknown file, you said you tried to install the game, don't ever do that unless you know the company, have it's complete background , proper address and contact number, thankfully your antivirus saved you, but such malicious attempts are happening regularly. So never ever even respond to such mails. Btw the best thing is to report such mails. Keep safe and thanks for alerting all

That's wrong prem, nothing should be tested until u know enough about it. I think u dont know but almost all the malicious files today can bypass virtual machine and enter the parent operating system and infect it too. Also she shouldn't even open any website before analyzing it because just opening the website can hook her browser.
But bro it's not that kind of Malware attack that you expect. Those attacks requires a lot reverse engineering and forensics knowledge. It's may be a simple noobe try for social engineering. Beechara Noob... 😂
I am into both cyber security/ethical hacking and game development, and it makes me really sad whenever I make a game spending weeks and send it to my friends so they can play(without any bad intention) but they never actually install any file sent by me because of my hacking background :( :(
Mam,he was a noob and the "red flags" shows that he just followed some RUclips hacking tutorials 😂😂 Some are even notorious and bypass everything. Trust me I have seen this.
This case happened to me also demanding cash in account to place me in California based Edison Company. But at last I communicate with US Ambassy authority in Mumbai. I found that was scam. That how I could come out off this scam. Take care and be aware such scam😊😊
There is a best solution for your problem if you face it again in future. Just use another fresh PC or use virtual box and install there software in virtual box. So that no data is harm. Modern problems require modern solutions 😎
Update: Virtualbox wont be able to handle games.. For those who wont be able to afford Antivirus should upload any file/pdf/word docx etc on Virustotal website.... a reallly good site to check for possible malware or trojans ( Viruses)

Exactly this thing happen to me but there is no such gaming platform there was something regarding to ITR nd they send me an attachment and told to download this application form to correct my details and idk i find it wrong then i contacted with my CA and then he said its a fraud thn i contact my web developer nd he informed me that this is an attempt to hack my bank account and computer and the location is south africa
Something similar happened to NDTV journalist Nidhi Razdan too. Last year she announced that she's leaving her job and shifting to Harvard. She was offered a position of Associate Professor at the university and in some way like that they manipulated her and she eventually left her NDTV stint but later on found out that the entire teaching job and all was a part of phishing and now there was nothing she could do except regret.

Conclusion is, Know the thing which you're installing, Cuz sometime, If you want to install some cracks or patched file, Antivirus treat that as a threat aswell.
I used to do this stuff in the past with my friends to make fun of them. Things are more advanced now. Do not download anything in the future or even run it. A file can contain multiple files that can run in the background. It is not necessary that your antivirus killed the virus. The file can have multiple viruses in it. It is possible that you have got a keylogger installed on your computer which is sending all your screenshots and keystrokes to the hacker. I recommend cleaning the whole computer. Sometimes people might also send you a wrong file which will just give you an incompatibility error. You will think that this file is corrupt and you might request the new file without knowing that your computer is already compromised. I am sorry you have been through this. I recently saw your videos and subscribed to your channel. You seem to be a simple and cool person.

Ma'am if you visited their website please make sure you clear browser cache/cookies and also ask your relative to scan for open/vulnerable ports, although your anti virus automatically does performs this tasks, its always good to confirm manually. Stay safe.
