    Kobe Bryant made made it to the “Big Game” the NBA Finals from 2008-2010 (lost one, won 2 back to back), LBJ failed to do so (even with the motivation of being swept in the finals prior in 2007). Both players were in their prime (even though LBJ had the advantage with his physicality). The common denominators were that Kobe Bryant won playoff series against teams that knocked LBJ out of the Playoffs. If you speaking facts and statics, why are these facts neglected by Nick Wright. My point is that both players are different and Great in they’re own right, but why does Nick Wright need to tear someone’s legacy down to build another’s? Jordan was the Blueprint, Kobe continued & LBJ was the future... which is the present. Kobe & MJ is the comparison because they’re very similar... Also there has already been a 6-6 great isolation player with all time great killer mentality that is Michael jeffery Jordan who is a way better kobe and MJ nor lebron had a teammate near the skill of shaq you can bring up 2011 for LeBron but kobe had melt downs as well.

      @@zoomdoof6107 idk about you, but I saw Kobe carry two sub-par Lakers teams to the playoffs in 06 and 07 in a much tougher conference. And ironically, in 2011 LeBron was beaten by the only man in a long time, besides Kawhi last year, that can say he carried his team to a championship.

    • @elijahruderman
      @elijahruderman 4 года назад

      @@megaslice23 Dirk didn't "carry" his team to a Championship. He had other role player who were extremely important and the load Dirk carried in 2011 is nowhere close to what LeBron carried in 2012, 2013, 2015 finals, LeBron 2016 finals, and LeBron in the 2017 finals and the whole 2018 playoffs. Just because you have another all star on your team does not mean your load is any lighter - Dirk had a way deeper Mavs team than LeBron ever had. LeBron and Wade combined to carry close to 2 third of the load in the 2012 playoffs, especially when Chris Bosh went out with injury. Dirk had a great run but he his 28 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and subpar defense aren't anywhere close to so many other playoff runs. Dirk wasn't very good in most of the 2011 finals games. And Kawhi only carried Toronto in the series vs Philly... and he still had Siakam averaging 19 in that series. Every other series Kawhi had a lot of help. But Kawhi's run is significantly better than Dirk because of Kawhi's defense compared to Dirk's mediocre impact on that end of the floor. Dirk 2011 playoff run ain't even an all time playoff run. You can't have an all time playoff run if another player (Wade) was much better than you in the finals and if you didn't contribute in any massive way besides scoring, and that was still at only 28 points which is below average among the all time playoff runs. Dirk had 3.7 win shares in that postseason in 21 games. LeBron had 5.8 win shares in 23 games in the 2012 postseason, 5.2 win shares in in 23 games in the 2013 postseason, 4.7 win shares in 21 games in the 2016 postseason - and one of the best defensive performances in any finals regardless of position, 4.3 win shares in just 18 games in the 2017 playoffs, and he had the best individual postseason since MJ in '91 - regardless of winning the title - in the 2018 playoffs, where LeBron amassed 5.2 win shares in just 22 games - and he had 49% of his team's win shares - 5.2 out of 10.6 - which is the largest percentage by far of any player to ever make the finals. The load LeBron carried in the 2018 playoffs is the biggest load any player who has made the finals has ever carried since the NBA merger. Dirk's playoff run is hella overrated because everyone - KD, Russ, Kobe and the whole Lakers team, and LeBron all had to play trash for Dirk to win. Honestly, I give Dirk a ton of credit. But I see 4 - 5 players who play at the same level Dirk did in the 2011 playoffs every year in the postseason. Last year Durant before he got injured, Jokic, Steph, James Harden, and Giannis all played at the same or higher level as Dirk. Dirk was very clutch in 2011, but an all time great postseason is one where you actually play at a level that you don't see often - like Dirk in 2006, who was way better than Dirk in the 2011 playoffs, but 2006 Dirk simply couldn't close the deal in the 2006 finals. Instead of LeBron choking Dirk was the one who choked after game 2 in the 2006 finals - although it wasn't as bad as LeBron's choke. I've never seen anyone play at the level LeBron did in the 2018 playoffs cuz I wasn't alive to see MJ. And, Kobe had three teammates averaging double digits in the series against the Suns in 2006 - compared LeBron having one in the two series vs the Pacers and Celtics in 2018. If you put 2018 LeBron on the Lakers in 2006 they would've beat the Suns and the Clippers and likely lost in 6 or 7 games in the conference finals to the Mavs. Of course LeBron can do more with less - he's proven it. As good as Kobe is, his best postseason - 2009 - is still worse than LeBron's postseasons in 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017 and 2018, and arguably worse than LeBron in 2009, but LeBron faced two mediocre teams in the first two rounds in 2009.

      But the thing is my G Lebron gets u to having the game on the line without him there is no contest. Honestly look at the team Lebron brought to the finals? They had 0 and i mean Zero business in the finals. They had 0 business getting past the eastern semis but Lebron is the key to all that. Honestly i will take Lebron on my team anyday over both Jordan and especially Kobe.

  • @AFguy23
    @AFguy23 6 лет назад +7

    I think that the biggest difference between MJ/kobe vs LeBron is that during game prep and game practices, they focused on perfection and pushed their teammates harder more than other teams so that when game time started, their teams were ready to play. So the few times MJ or Kobe had a bad game their teams pick up the slack; MJ preparing more than Kobe as we saw the Laker playoff drought before gasol got there. LeBron pushes his teammates but they feed off of him as a ball distributor (with plays drawn up for him to do so) so when he has a bad game, his teammates couldn't function without him.

      Kobe averaged 22, 7, 6 at 82% from the line.
      And the Lakers swept ALL of them before going 4-1 against Allen Iverson's Sixers.
      2010 alone...Kobe had to go through Kevin Durant, James Harden, Serge Ibaka, Westbrook, Barbosa, Grant Hill, Channing Frye, Goran Dragic, before beating the big three in Boston -> Paul Pierece, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo.

    I think the point Stacks was making was about Bron not going out on his sword and just checking out of games.
    And the Kobe game 7 disrespect is crazy. Kobe went to the free throw line a ton that game against the same Boston Celtics that held Bron to 15 points in one game in that playoffs. That was one of the most defensive game 7's ever. And he did it with a messed up finger and sprained ankle.
    Crazy how the media tears down one player to big another one up. Brons post season run this year was legendary.

      Cavs can't do anything without LeBron because they barely practice. Nobody has a defined role. They all just have to play off of LeBron.
      LeBron basically does what he wants and everyone else just needs to try to keep up with him. Also If LeBron is having a hard time on offense he checks out defensively as well.

    It frustrates me to no end when analysts like Nick Wright spit out half stats to try and prove a point. In that 1993 Series against the Knicks when the Bulls were down 0 - 2, Mike went 3 for 18 because the Bulls blew them out. His jump shot was off combined with how the Knicks were guarding him. Don't bring up that he stayed aggressive while he was in the game and went to the freethrow line 17 times. He was 16 of 17 from the freethrow line. Mike NEVER stopped being aggressive and attacking. Same with the Orlando game, it was a blowout. Nobody will ever complain about Lebron shooting 13 times when his team is hot and they're blowing a team out.

      LuisRUclips so you missed the entire part where Jordan shot 17 free throws lol so even if he made 3 shots of 18 he had over 20. Everybody has a weak shooting performance. But what were Jordan’s rebounds assists steals blocks and turnovers looking like compared to Lebrons? Same with Kobe? How often did they get to the foul line and make buckets.
      Y’all let this mane spout off 1 stat like it’s golden and ignore everything else. Meanwhile he’ll say well Lebron might have shot 0 for 4 from the 3 and finished 3 for 18 but he had 7 assists and 12 rebounds and 10 for 10 from the foul and 6 blocks and 4 steals and blah blah blah.

    • @SmittyWerbenJagermannJensen
      @SmittyWerbenJagermannJensen 6 лет назад

      LuisRUclips also they would have no chance because Lebron can’t get to the line and when he does he can’t shoot. And he isn’t playing defense, nobody told him to play the point.

      Okay so Jordan was 3-18 and 16-17 ft. 22 points. Cavs still couldn't win a playoff game if LeBron played that badly. He legit needed to score close to or over 40 for them to even be in games lol. Also, don't bring up rebounds and assists, coz LeBron beats Jordan in those.

    I think this is more on Lebron's attitude towards the game. Your team mates feed of your energy and presence and when you lose your confidence and give up, your whole team gives up. Kobe and Jordan no matter what never gave up even on their bad shooting nights, they look for ways to help their team. In the finals against Celtics Kobe played amazing defense and grabbed 15 rebounds, which is helping out your team and never giving up even on your bad shooting night.

    • @davidcici11Evolution
      @davidcici11Evolution 6 лет назад

      Maurice Moon back then yes, but now the East is no doubt a weaker and inferior conference but back in that time an 8th seed could sniff the playoffs with a 42 or 43 record, that is the equivalent of an 8th seed in the East now. The East back then had 2 teams maybe 2.5 now the East has 4 quality teams so it is much more balance now. The difference is LeBron would of made it too the playoffs and at least the second round if not the Western Conference finals with that same Laker team that Kobe couldn't do anything with, because LeBron has been dragging bum teams for years during his first stint in Cleveland and during the last two seasons.

Lebron does not make his teammates better as they claim. We need to end this discussion. Lebron makes his teammates become spot up shooters. And if theyre not good enough he goes to join already better players. Get off it!

    What I always enjoy about Nick Wright bringing up that game 3 against the Knicks in 1993 is he only mentions his field goal shooting, yes he only went 3-18, but he also went 16-17 from the free throw line meaning at a minimum he drew 9 fouls on the other team, he had 2 steals, 2 blocks, 8 rebounds, 11 assists and 22 points.
    Was it a great game? Not by his standards, it wasn't also a bad game. Also to say LeBron has always to play a great game in order to win is blatantly false. Basketball reference 2011 NBA Finals Game 3 and 2013 NBA Finals Game 2, both wins and LeBron didn't play great. Get that nonsense out of here.
