Dr Sahab. My Name is Mansoor and live in Australia. My age is 63 years.
I had L4/L5 surgery in 1997 and recovered from sciatica pain with few episodes in between 1997 and 2009. In 2009, I had a significant disc bulge (17mm if I remember correctly) with shooting pain in my right leg resulting in neurological deficit in my right leg (I was not aware of these terms at the time of L5/S1 disc bulge) . I did not go to emergency rather opted to go through normal medical procedure here. In short, it took 3 months to be operated here in Sydney).
After the surgery, the pain didn't go away and doctors put me on targin (narcotic drug) and lyrica. Im sick of the tablets and I had another MRI few years ago; clearly showing L5/S1 disc protrusion now ever on the left side. So effectively, I have pain & weakness in both legs and getting worst with every passing day.
What would be your suggestion? I am ready to come to India for treatment even if there is a small light at the end of tunnel. I know, India is leading world in Spine surgeries.

Sir, my name is sunny from Bihar.
I am suffering from L5 s1 disc bulg from last 1 year. But in last 9 months I take madicine, physiotherapy and my pain is not relief. Then my open surgery is done in patna AIIMS. After surgery my pain is relief. But I am not walking properly. And muscles down my knees is loose, and I am not standing my toe. 1.Diffuse disc bulge at L4-5, impinging upon the thecal sac and bilateral traversing nerve roots with mild bilateral neuro foraminal narrowing.
2. Diffuse disc bulge with annular tear and disc dessiciation at L5-S1 level l, impinging upon the techal sac and bilateral traversing nerve roots with mild neuroforaminal nareowing.
So sir need your advice and assistance for further treatment as i went through medicine course and physiotherapy since 1 years but pain in lower part of body is not improving and even pain goes in tail bone.

Dessicatory changes are noted involving the intervertebral discs at L4-L5 and L5-S1 level.
Central and le% paracentral disc hernia' on is noted at L4-L5 level leading to stenosis of le% lateral
recess and impression upon the nerve root and narrowing of le% neural foramen and right neural
foramen and right lateral recess are intact.
