Yess. I am going to incorporate this into my parenting. Genius! My 4 year old can't write yet, but the sass is real. And my 7 year old who can write really doesn't ever get in trouble. Lol they are both two totally different children. Hopefully by the time my 4 year old is 7, she will never get into trouble and we won't have to worry about it. Lol

I just kinda stopped because some episodes do get a little boring and I listen to my podcast list while I’m driving to work

I just did it by choice as a child because I hated saying how I felt out loud.
But don't like... Force them. It can seriously make them hate writing. It did me for years. Suggest that if they won't apologize with words they write a letter.
When I acted up as a kid I would just go by myself to my room and stay there until *I* considered enough time out. No tv and no games, but I would put those punishments on me, my mom would just ask me when I came out: are you done?

We don't handle it, we resolve to run away at least twice a day and then the little monsters who previously had you hiding in your bathroom with the door locked to get a few seconds of peace from the little gang of delinquents that are little versions of yourself at your worst drunk moments in college. Then they have the audacity to walk in wrap their arms around your neck and give you a pretty picture they drew for you as they tell you they love you so much, and weaken all your defenses to mush as they then let you in on the real ploy they have joined together as a unit against you and ask, "please make us some mac n cheese", and we're back.

One time whe I was younger we had to write a story based on the prompt "it's all my fault" and I wrote about a girl who got pushed into a tree and split her head open and then someone accidentally spilled acid on her face and she went blind. The boy who did it felt so bad that he ran away, fell in a river and died and his body was discovered by a couple on a bridge kissing.
My teacher had to call my mum and make sure I was okay lmao
Especially since I was a quiet and innocent child lol

A Mullan I wrote a story about a girl who lived in a war torn country that was victim of a bombing and ended up getting leukemia as a side effect. I feel like a read something that said that could happen. Don’t know why I decided to turn it into a story

《PattiRose》 actually we do have a rochestarian accent our vowels are notoriously nasal sounding that’s why you might have seen or heard someone say rahchacha or rahchestrrrrrrrr. it’s why jenna’s “I” sounds really pronounced and nasally EYE along with ah, er, and so on we all do it in the roc

When my son was in kindergarten, one of the assignments they would do is write short stories.... He wrote one story about me leaving him at the zoo in a cage with a really big snake. The second story was that he wished we had pet bats because the bats would scare me. I have NO idea where these ideas came from but we still laugh about it today (he's 13).

Jenna you are right about you're teacher being harsh about the start of your Wizard of Oz story, beginning the story without introducing the character and then revealing their identity through the rest of the passage is a legitimate tactic that grabs the readers attention and draws them into the story and it is great you had a more advanced writing style like this at such a young age. Your teach can get in the bin, trying to make you fit in her silly little box, go get em girl!

When learning how to use Word in like 4th grade, I made a “picture” that just said “I love you mother.” With a picture of a flower and a weird faded out picture of me with non-smiling mug-shot like face. I don’t know why, but if my kid gave me that I’d be concerned.

Podcast and/or Jenna video idea: You two (Jenna and Julien) go for a week, writing each other apologies for things you do throughout the week, even if it's just small stuff. Like, I almost shut the car door on my husband. That would be a great letter. And you know, Aires and Virgo them up to the max. Read them for the podcast or Jenna's video.
