It's great to see Simon again, as I was and still am a member of the Smoke City Wheelers car club back here in England. It looks like he made the right decision to move to LA.
Simon is the man!! i'll never forget the first time i met him at the Foster Freeze in Burbank CA on a cold Friday night just a week before new years of 2020. When he rolled in my jaw hit the floor and I could not stop oooinh and aaaahhhing at this '34 Ford. Was planning on being back in CA this summer but due to covid It could not happen, see you soon in 2021.
I dont know how many times i have seen this video. By far my fav year Ford body. 33/34 is on top of my wish list and Simons car is just my cup of tea style vise. And Ben, thanks for being a great inspiration RUclips vise. I have seen all your content and hope theres more to come! How about a Burbank Choppers series? Thanks!
Great stories, great rods, good people, & perfect filming. You just keep getting better at putting hot rod videos together. I'm getting to old and health is weak, so I can't build them any more. You keep me happy knowing the younger crowd understands the life. Hot rods, Harleys, Muscle cars will live for ever!!!!
I am very happy for you living your dream. I like old Fords. Dad has a 32 5 window ever since I was kid I always wanted to see him get the car up and running and maybe body work and paint job but I am already 41 years old and dad still has not got it running so I feel hurt inside because dad is 65-66 years old now and 3/4 of his life is already over and it's time he gets it a going. I my self got me a project which I probably had now for 10 years which is a 1930-31 model a coupe and I am just buying pieces when I get some money but at the same time trying to pay bills. Parents always taught me bills come first because having a place to live is pretty important.
These videos are great man! Genuinely quality stuff from a small channel like this is amazing. Keep up with the work and updating us about the scene in California.
I saw "The California Kid" movie on TV when I was a kid..Martin Sheen in Pete Chapouris' 33 3 window...always had a soft spot for the '33 Ford...I still have the film on video...
G'day mate! Yet another great video by you. I recently discovered your channel and love all your videos. I can relate to this video and this guy's story. I'm an Aussie and I wanted to move to California, partly because of the awesome hot rodding scene. I ended up moving to British Columbia, Canada, about 10 years ago. I spend a lot of time in Washington state following the hot rod scene there. Have ventured down to California a couple of times. I've always loved your dad's club. Keep up the awesome work!
Isn't it interesting that people from other nations felt the Hot Rod Vibe? I was born in New Zealand, poles apart from California but 50 years ago we were building hot rods which were in essence copied from everything we could see in R&C etc. Lots of us had been travelling to the US for quite a while and one of my Dads childhood mates had even raced on the Dirt in the US before WW2 bringing back an Offy Sprinter and ideas for building cars,Not to mention a few guys from my own teenage years (Kiwi Kev lived around the corner from me) who travelled to the US to get with it. I don't hear of people doing the same with Drifting.....😁
I'm really impressed with your channel, great shots, beautiful cars, great stories and backgrounds of these builds. Really gives you the full experience. Now to see a full video just on Simon's roadster 🤤
Excellent production quality for a free video. Roadkill didn't even reach these "movie" levels and yet with sponsors, still decided to charge membership. Keep up the great work. Its ironic the "subject matter" began with the old Volvos, since they pretty much copied a postwar Ford sedan. They are a great bodystyle for someone who wants a "traditional" but can't afford a solid 1946 Ford or just needs a smaller version to fit into a garage.
you never disappoint with your videos man. and the way you capture the car culture is phenomenal. iv never gone away thinking “man that video sucked” you continue to blow me away i’m really glad i came across your channel when i did
Ben these short documentary videos are awesome! Love watching these people talk about their cars and its history. How’s your mustang going? Keep up the awesome work brotha!
What a perfect car!! Just frikken love it!! I'd want a sedan (personally), as I'm on the tall side, plus we could haul the grandkids around with us that way too. Nice little clip! Well Done
Australia's car scene has lots of off-road cars and old school Holden's/ fords. But nothing like this, it's nearly impossible to get a car this old road legal sadly. Great video
Another killer video Ben! Your editing and filming style keep getting better! Love the insight and I’m happy to see the hobby stronger than ever. Once again, greetings from Just outside of KC. And all you other subscribers, show your kids these videos and get them off the Xbox and into the garage!
I love the patina on the car that is freekin awesome I love all the cars you have I'm a gear head myself have my 32 5window and my pride and joy my 34 3 windows wouldn't have anything else. I do drive my modern dodge scat pac, everyday driver. Keep up the great videos
Wow Ben another Awsome video you are getting very professional and the documentary’s that you have recently been doing are really amazing the videos on your channel are fantastic keep it up bro
That's a sick ccoupe, and you have such a talent for filming!! It's nice to finally see someone around my age that loves classic cars, almost as much as I do 😉
Awesome car and well shot! Just watched this from south wales (uk) american cars are still going strong here! I enjoy my 65 mustang 2+2 and my dad with his z28 79 Camaro. Shame you cant bring that 34 to pendine sands!
I have zero film cred, but I know what I like and I dig your eye for a shot and you're ability to edit the story. Your style is really getting tight. Thanks for posting. I wanna know when you're gonna score some parts and start documenting your hot rod build?

It's great to see Simon again, as I was and still am a member of the Smoke City Wheelers car club back here in England. It looks like he made the right decision to move to LA.
We definitely live in different car worlds, i have an old mercedes s class as my project, but these cars on your channel are pure beauties.
So cool to see the “hot rod culture” is still alive ands going strong! Thanks Ben!

Props to the builders! Amazing build!
Great looking '34 looks like it rolled right out of the 50's
Love the features around cali. The history around the people as well as the cars is nice to see. Documentary style, just wish they were longer lmao
Love the North Bondi medallion hanging off the rear view and of course the 34
These videos are great man! Genuinely quality stuff from a small channel like this is amazing. Keep up with the work and updating us about the scene in California.

That thing is perfect. At some point, I need a '33 or '34 with a serious chop parked next to my '51 Merc.
I saw "The California Kid" movie on TV when I was a kid..Martin Sheen in Pete Chapouris' 33 3 window...always had a soft spot for the '33 Ford...I still have the film on video...
