- When the company need to pay the bonus
• From the date of closing of financial year within 8th month bonus need to be paid.
• March 31 is the closing the 8 the month is November. Bonus is given in November not because Deepavali but because of that month is bonus timeline govt fixed
Content - 13 - Bonus Percentage
Bonus percentage is minimum 8.33 % to maximum 20 % of an employees Basic + Dear Allowance.
• Minimum 30 days an employee worked for the eligibility
• Even worked only for 30 working days and resigned still employee is eligible for bonus
• Within 8th month of the financial year closing bonus must be paid. March to November.
Bonus ‘Set on’ & ‘set off’
• The employees bonus paid 20% each the surplus bonus amount carried forward succeeding year called ‘seton’
• The withhold amount from previous year released called’ set off’
• Ex-gratia can be given any number of time.

Job resign pannuna antha financial year ku Bonus - 8.33% mattum than tharanga. Ex gratia tharamatom nu solranga. Ethu correct ah ella thappa Sir. Appointment letter and last year salary increment letter la bonus & ex gratia mention pannirukanga.

Hi. As a bonus eligibility said by u is 30days. Then y some companies are giving bonus like if an employee work less than a year means they are paying for months count only. Is this right process or how it is. Or else company can decide reg bonus. Especially in proprietor ship companies
1. Bonus eligibility is minimum of working 30 days
2. Even if an employee is resigned /relieved/ dead after 30 days of working. He has to be paid bonus
3. Bonus calculated on a monthly basis paid yearly once.
4. Closing of the financial year within an 8 month company has to pay a bonus. (March closing by November -8th month they have to pay bonus
5. Basic + DA is the wage component for wage - 20 % is the maximum bonus eligibility. If the company can pay more than the %
