Sonic CD Restored (v5.0 R3 Update) ✪ Amy (Time Zone: Past) Speedrun in 13'49"98 (IGT)

Sonic CD Restored - 30th Anniversary Edition is a Modification of Sonic CD that primarily aims to recreate the original glitchless speedrun experience of Sonic CD on the Sega CD, often referred to as CD93. Creacted by PimpUigi.

The game is recognized as a unique Remaster that focuses on restoring the original faster gameplay from the Sega CD version of the game. Every level can be completed faster than in the Steam version of the game via the restored routes, jumps, or abilities that had either been removed or toned down. Secondarily Sonic CD Restored also restores fidelity to the game's FMVs/SFX/Music along with corrections to improperly imported sprites and palette cycles, making CD-R an idealized version of Sonic CD in every category.
CD Restored has virtually lossless BGM remasters with restored loop bytes, 16-bit SFX, background and sprite fixes, 720p FMVs and even palette cycle overhauls to restore maximum accuracy and fidelity to the game's assets. Though the primary focus of CD-R is aimed at high level players with the glitchless speedrun restorations in all 78 stages, every level of player can benefit from the inclusion of Amy as a playable character and the implementation of Naoto Oshima's instant time warps; based on his sketches and early development screenshots. (Implemented by TheStoneBanana and heavily tweaked by PimpUigi to preserve both the original Sega CD time warp routes as well as the 2011 remake's.)
In addition to having finished restoring all the dozens of missing/broken glitchless speedrun routes in the Past & Future Zones, the 30th Anniversary Edition of Sonic CD Restored includes both Crowd Control and Randomizer bundled in, as well as a new game mode! *Special Stage Rush*.

v5.0 R3 update includes a number of restorations such as "Sega CD MM3 One Way Door opening instantly after you destroy the Lightning Bug badniks", "Sega CD PP1 3D Jump angles", and also "Sega CD WWZ Launcher speed cap".

Finally back once again with another run of CD Restored for the first time in a couple of years. Primary focus was on the In Game Time but at times I was looking at the autosplitter I enabled. You can see with this being the best run out of the few attempts I was running it was almost nothing but rainbow splits with a lot of time save involved, still got some time save to go actually.
Aside from Quartz Quadrant 1 feeling like sort of a mess, I think a lot of areas had okay to great improvements. Still something to evolve from after this run but I'm satisfied with this for now.

Before Sonic 2 and 3 there was Sonic CD, in story line, 1 of the Best Sonic Games. Just a shame the Super Peelout wasn't in Sonic 3.
