@@No-jr4mp if they're going for this sort of style, referencing other people's art isn't bad, however, they should definitely try referencing real life and applying what they learn from these videos to their drawings
@@jetrifle4209 I never called this guy a master. If you say true practice is only practice you do by yourself, using real life references, and that you shouldn't reference other artists for practice; then you are saying this for every artist out there, including the masters.
I suck really bad at drawing but it’s honestly one of my biggest dreams to create a manga one day. That’s why I was searching for drawing videos and I just so happened to stumble upon this one. It was so fun to draw with you for an hour, and I cannot wait until I start to see more improvements in my artwork, thank you for this video. ❤️😊
I tried doing what you did on the first 10 minutes and somehow my sketches improved I was kinda shocked, I didn't know I can draw like that. Thank you this was an eye opener.
As a beginner, I study theee while and after he makes the protrait s and its so crazy how much I've learned. THIS IS MY OWN WAY I learned how to do stuff like this.
Its wonderfully soothing to hear only the sound of the pencil scratching on the paper and the expressive freestyle drawings come to life. So much better than artists talking nonstop in their videos which is actually distracting.
I just can’t draw anymore and I don’t know why. Been drawing since 5 and can’t bring myself to do it. I love seeing others draw. Please don’t give up on what you love!
I watched one of your videos some time ago, and i just happened to stumble upon this one in my recomended feed. I try drawing togheder with you even though our style is different, but so far, i'm loving it. Thank you for your hard work, i just subscribed.
😢I've been drawing for almost 4 years and I've had little results, you draw really well, I'm really excited for you, but I hope you get better and better.❤
Watching your videos give me so much euphoria and excitement. It’s so amazing watching the paper come to life with such a beautiful balance of control and freedom. I’m not sure how you feel when you’re sketching or watching your videos back, but I couldn’t begin to reason or dictate the abundant spontaneous joy that I receive from watching your time lapses. Thank you so much for the beautiful content.
This has allowed me to be much more okay with scribbles, or lines that most would say im not confident with. I usually practice draftsmanship with basic geometric shapes and blind contours and end up boring myself - because this is what I always imagined myself doing when I sit to sketch. My first thought was "dont people say this is a bad habit to have though?" but ill be damned if it doesnt look like a blast and the time saves seem astronomical. Judging by the comments even the audience seems to fall into some sort of trance. Im going to allow myself to be more sloppy. Watching this makes me feel foolish for not allowing myself to have this kind of fun. Thanks for this video and take care.
I feel like you did a “save” with number eight when you were drawing that jaw line. Then kind of figured out the hair or hood there. That was neat and creative at a part I would have erased or moved on to another sketch.
I was sketching, drawing, and practicing along with you, and thanks to your help. But I’ve just had a loss of motivation, I wanna draw again but I need that fire lit up in my soul.
There's something so satisfying about drawing in ballpoint pen. You start out with really ugly, bloppy drawings, but after a lot of practice you get really good at nailing proportions and perspective. I have always preferred drawing with ballpoint pens. There's something freeing about them, like mistakes are supposed to be made and really don't matter.
I can only think of all the editing and cuts you did for this video to keep it strictly about movement and values and compact it. Thank you for the work!
Use to draw but not anymore. I still keep my drawings in a file. All left memories. I use to have the passion for design. But not anymore. All this was at the age of 20 - 25. Now I'm 31 everything lost. Anyways, from start to finish sounds ASMRISH hahah so tingly make me want ti sleep
There’s a very important difference between drawing the same thing 100 times, and drawing from observation. Simply “practicing drawing a face” is nothing more than pattern recognition and repetition. Anyone can learn to draw an object, draw it infinity times, and then whip it off from memory making it look easy, giving the impression of skill. That’s not the same thing as skills of observation. This is why “drawing tutorials” aren’t (usually) good. All they’re teaching you to do is copy the patterns you see someone else doing. Like speaking phonetically without language comprehension.
I copied all of the faces you drew so I could practice proportions and it has made a world of difference to my sketching. These videos are amazing.
Lmao from one artist to another that was corny
