During an interview, Will mentioned this series was short lived because of the cameras, small teams, and sim rounds jamming constantly. With how small GoPros and body cams are now, they could definitely continue the show. They no longer need to switch batteries on a huge hand held camera too. Plus with these small GoPros doing HD videos, they can easily do larger teams too.
On the same token we want to see our favorite operator, but with how small cameras are now, that would be no problem to mount on the weapon without adding additional weight.
I just met WIl Willis today. I work for USPS and he just moved to the area. I was starring at him and thinking why does he look so familiar? When he talked, his voice also triggered a "where do I know this guy from" feeling in me. When he stepped away to fill out a form I was like HOLY 💩, it's Wil Willis. When he came back up and I saw the name on the form he filled out I said to him "I knew you looked familiar.". He responded kinda puzzled and said "what?". Then I said "Special Ops Mission!!!!". He just smiled at me, turned away, and waved his hand at me like oh stop it. He was SUPER nice. I work in an area where people hike from Mexico all the way to Canada. They are called PCT hikers. I think PCT is Pacific Coast Trail. He even offered a couple that was hiking to stay the night at his place if they needed a place to stay. They had been chatting in line about the couple hiking the trail, and Wil was telling them about how he used to do those kinds of things but his days in the military messed up his back. I wanted to ask to take a pic with him but didn't want to be too much of a bother, so I didn't.
John Smith I honestly dont think its scripted. I believe there is a pride factor involved here, besides it makes for better television if its not scripted because the tension is real and we all know drama is what sells
It would be easier if it was real most likely, but I imagine the producers watch what is happening and influence the action in some way. So exaggerated reality.
It's not scripted. there was no doubt some producer influenced action in parts, particularly in the first episode when they kept giving WW fragos pushing him further into heart of the opfor camp, but I'm positive its not scripted. As an Army Infantry vet myself I recognize the same irrepressible will to win in just about all the opfor (except Alan Tafoya, who was a cop) soldiers as I saw in myself and my fellow grunts. Its especially evident in the Urban Terror episode as WW plays cat and mouse with those guys in a massive old LA hospital.

I had the honor of working with some of these special warriors like will. Unbelievably cool, calm, humble and professional. I absolutely believe he could pull this off without it being scripted. I thought I was a bad ass till I met those quiet professionals.
Hey guys thank you very much for posting really really enjoyed it now I got a real understanding with my son is talking about when he says he does what he does
Lol back in the days that used to air like 0100hrs in Sweden, I was still in high school but I would stay up late just so I could watch it. Good times.
OMG I was just watching forged in fire and I go “I KNOW THAT GUY” long story’s short I bought all episodes of special ops mission on my psp go like 10-15 years ago.. omg I miss this I used to watch this over and over and over while playing games, I lived in Lavergne Tennessee used to have black friends over to play wii with and they stole my psp go :(
Drones, Go-Pros: this show needs to come back. My inner conspiracy theorist believes the show was ACTUALLY cancelled by the Government to prevent the public from learning CQB and Special Infantry Tactics through multiple scenarios that would be beneficial to Patriots.
I remember watching this show when I was younger, couldn't remember the name of it till today! I also find it hilarious the guy who voiced Faendal is the commentator!
This is an old show, but it’s one of a kind. I wish we could get more. I know will busted his back on the 6th episode, but this is still my favorite show
They should have done a couple of 2 man(or more) teams vs a superior opfor unit of 10+. Also, team should have went ahead of Alan in their vehicle and search while he makes sure the tracks are in the direction, that way Pilot either walks into them or Alan tracks all the way to him..
Having will as the only operator gives him every advantage I wish there were episodes that he had a fire team with him being one against 4 the 1 always wins because he has more opportunities to kill them then they have to kill him
39:46 Stock groan is very stock and generic. This has to have at least *some* scripting involved, plus a great deal of post-production editing (obviously, hence the aerial cameras). If any scripting, it's probably benign and ultra minimalist scripting that's there to facilitate fragos. Framing devices, of course, *require* some scripting--hell, there's some scripting involved with *setting up* a scenario. Take all that away, and I believe that it's otherwise genuine.
8:23 great breathing technique. I use it in the gym after heavy lifts of squats, bench or deadlifts. I go from panting heavily to being able to close my mouth and breath through my nose in about 5 seconds.
It’s a trip what you must do instinctively. I watch this stuff and I realize, I do a lot of this stuff when I hunt or hike. Just seemed like a good thing to do. A lot of the hasty retreat, ambush stuff. I kinda laugh when I hear “a technique employed by.....”. I’m like, huh, I just do it cause it seems smart to do. 😁🤓😁
I wish sim-munition was available to the public. Imagine big Milsim war games using that stuff. Though the events would have to be very carefully monitored, so some psychopath doesn't bring in live ammo.
simunition is now available to the civilian market, but you have to jump through a lot of hoops, and as you said a large amount of care is needed to make sure no live ammo is present, and making sure everyone has the proper protective equipment.
Alan tracks enemy with ease and requests to pursue, squad leader denies request due to not wanting to take risk of alan being compromised. A few moments later ……. Squad leader leaves alan alone doing observations. Squad leader is in a vehicle and radios Alan who is not to traverse alone down hill with possible hostiles in the area. Poor Alan
I remember another show like this but it had teams and the last 2 teams would either pick a member or it was the last person standing in the team and they would duel it out with pistols in CQC and it would be the best of 3 or whoever got the fastest "kill". Anyone remember the name of the show??
Because that would take precious time that they didn't have. Also, the entire point is for him not to die, so if it gets to the point that he needs a weapon, Will has already failed.
As Mr moO points out Badger 1-1 had an injured soldier and in the military role play exercises injuries are expected to be played out to their full extent to increase the mental difficulty. IRL Badger probably would have wanted the rifle and dealt with the pain but in the context of the exercise he had to not grab it.

A camera rig on a rifle increases the weight considerably. I do agree that with how awesome GoPro's have gotten...the show could and should come back.
I bet that gun camera screwed with his aim, a GoPro would have worked great.
On the same token we want to see our favorite operator, but with how small cameras are now, that would be no problem to mount on the weapon without adding additional weight.
This show is amazing , a new season could help some kids find the military in this age of snowflakes
As I was rewatching I thought Tim Kennedy would be great if they rebooted this show. Others thought the same thing haha
I loved this show as a Kid I was enough lucky enough to have the Military Channel man those Days Were LITTTTT
For whatever reason my brain cycled this memory back and I’m binge watching all over 🥲
@@joshsavage5192 exactly what I'm doing. I remember it being on Netflix for a while
Yes!!! The military channel in the early 2000s was a million times better than it had become. And AHC pretty much just sucks for the most part.
Back when they still had good shows
lol yup the military channel i remember that lol what was the show with the gunny from full metal jacket?

Love how he just walks up on them, engages them, and casually steals their humvee. This dude is a beast.

This show never gets old. That was another perfectly executed plan. Big fan of this show.

Owen Wilson was so good in this series.
The nostalgia is too real
My son and I used to watch this show all the time, my son loved it WHISKEY WHISKEY!!!!!

I like all special ops missions. greatness!
I miss this show so much. I have such amazing memories watching this with my mom.
Hey guys thank you very much for posting really really enjoyed it now I got a real understanding with my son is talking about when he says he does what he does
I recorded all these episodes back when they aired. Wish they would bring this show back.

“Remote command center”?? Can’t be that remote considering he’s running a walkie talkie 🤣
If this show was available in my country when I was a kid, This would have been a great military recruitment show for me😂

This is me when I play ghost recon breakpoint... I make up these missions that I use to watch... Would love this in dvd
They need a reboot of this, since there’s better technology, maybe a pay to watch streaming channel
Drones, Go-Pros: this show needs to come back.
My inner conspiracy theorist believes the show was ACTUALLY cancelled by the Government to prevent the public from learning CQB and Special Infantry Tactics through multiple scenarios that would be beneficial to Patriots.
It certainly is the best overall instruction guidebook for any such purpose.
Wil hurt his back in a jump during the winter episode :( otherwise, I bet he would have loved to keep doing it.
You can learn more on RUclips in greater depth.

I thought this show was awesome and I am glad that I could search it up on RUclips tonight and find an episode.
I love this show/series and wish they would bring it back but I stand by my question....
I used to LOVE THIS SHOW
New cleared hot episode with Wil is out and it’s fire 🔥
Will is a badass! I love this show!
Having will as the only operator gives him every advantage I wish there were episodes that he had a fire team with him being one against 4 the 1 always wins because he has more opportunities to kill them then they have to kill him
if he had a partner they could just set up an ambush and kill all of the defenders every time
If I remember correctly, he was caught/killed. I just don't remember which one.
He got shot in The snow episode
This was the best show on TV
Exesico Treino Boa continuacao gostei visual good morning
I use to love this show 😊
When he shoots Dave, we get to hear the generic grunt/scream from N64 era shooters. It's like the Wilhem Scream for video games 😂
Wish they made more this show was awesome 🤘🔥🖤🍻
WHY was this show canceled! It's AWESOME!
Forged In Fire is such a wast of Will Willis's talent when he could be doing THIS!
Lewis Gelan I think he busted his back too bad on the last episode
i agree but i still love forged in fire
this brings back so many memories.

Because that would take precious time that they didn't have. Also, the entire point is for him not to die, so if it gets to the point that he needs a weapon, Will has already failed.
Badger had an injured shoulder rendering him useless with a rifle.
