As usual Ivan, excellent video. Tanya behind the camera does such an excellent job and you are very relaxed when she is filming. She has excellent skills and her editing is 2nd to none. She's a diamond and your channel has improved tremendously since she arrived. Quite apart from that, the whole experience and your engineering knowledge and delivery of your subject is just quirky and unique. Take care and enjoy your trip.
Suzie's dad certainly knew his onions! That car is immaculate and so beautifully done. His buck making, and body building skills were second to none. Suzy is a lucky lady to have have such a talented dad, and of course a lucky lady to have that beautiful machine. Ivan you are going to have the time of your life in Italy with Suzy and the beautiful Rossi Red Stallion!
It has a lovely Nardi woodrim steering wheel.I used to sell these(& others) to Steve Lay at Maranello Concessionaires in the late 80,s,early 90,s;he ran the parts dept at the time.
Those door handles are originally an Alfa Romeo part but also found on Ferrari Maserati and even on the Renault Alpine. They are also being fitted to a new car ! The Nobe electric 3 wheeler a sort of Jetsons retro thing . Well having mentioned the Mille Miglia I might ad that they are the same door handles as the Alfa Romeo 1900 super that in co driving on the Mille Miglia in 6 weeks. I never thought I’d get to prepare a car for the Mille let alone drive it ! Love your channel! Best thing on RUclips ! It’s what inspired me to have a go with my little channel.
Those tail lights look reminiscent of those of the Austin A40 Farina and the Morris 1100 of the mid 1960's here in Australia. Suzie's dad has done a first class job on that old "Faz" Ivan, nice.
I thought that in the last video on the car. They certainly look like BMC tail lights to me. It's probable that BMC nicked the design from Ferrari, I doubt very much it was the other way round. Unless they have Lucas stamped on them ! lol
Fabulous, this channel has moved up so quickly, it is as good as Harry's Garage, and Tyrells. Have a great time all of you, and i shall be looking hard at Buckingham Palace balcony, to see if King Charles has recognised you as one of the UK's treasures and allowed you on there.
Wow! I have worked on Italian spyders, Including Ferrari. This 250 is nicer then any (I) have ever seen. Fantastic. Thanks for showing it to us,,,,,,K,,,,,
The world definitely needs more Ivans, love this channel, it's such a joy to watch and listen to. Looking at that beautiful Ferrari has me itching to own something red, Italian, exotic and fast!
Myself and a couple of other Greenford Grunchers popped in to see Ivan just before he headed off. Got to meet the lovely Suzi, She is a real scream, the banter between her and Ivan is a Gas. We were all having a real laugh, about their Italian trip. I like most are looking forward to seeing the footage…hope you are both having a blast😁
This is yet another priceless video. Absolute genius production pitched at just the right level leaving me, and many other am sure, speechless. Enjoy Italy.
@ loyndsy, I don't think they could considering the chassis and engine are all genuine Ferrari and plenty of older cars have been re-bodied, so I don't think in law they would have a leg to stand on.
Aha first to comment, one heck of a car, built by one heck of a guy. You’re not so bad yourself. Lift my spirits as an older chap. Could SP be situation prevailing ???. Keep on with the great videos!
Wonderful car, very cool history, and another delightful video! Suzie's Dad was a pioneer in an industry that GTO Engineering has turned into a full time enterprise, manufacturing new "Ferraris" from whole cloth! What a strange, fascinating world we live in. Bravo, Shed Racing! You are making one of the most enjoyable automotive channels on RUclips!
Given the fact that Nick Mason and other Tifosi are not averse to reshaping cars from their collections in the tyre walls of Goodwood and other circuits around the world, it was only a thought in passing as to the value of this car and the journey you are about to undertake in it. It is still a thing of absolute beauty.
Hello Ivan, Just a thought, does the name Bob Ashley from the early 50s mean anything to you? I new Bob when we both worked at Clarks shoe factory at that time,I believe was the black sheet of a cultured family who worked at Clarks to fund his hobby. He had an old Fraser Nash chain drive car, I never knew what model it
That is an absolutely beautiful car! I agree with you and John, I don’t know how he did. Susie’s dad put all his skills and passion for Ferrari into it! Is the book you were showing in print or just a keepsake of Susie’s ? Can’t wait to see the next video!😃 Y’all have fun a be safe!
Thank you Ivan, Susie and Tanya. Good video. Going by what you have said and demonstrated to us, Ivan, I suspect that this car represents the fine line between dedication and obsession🙂! I have met a few people over the years with similar levels of dedication to their chosen interests. Beautiful result. Looking forward to the next video.
So the buck is made so perfect its better than the original from Ferrari. They could make them and sell them new if Ferrari would license it to them. Wow. How cool would that be! 😊
Haha…..I'm trying to get an NC mx5 back on the road and think changing the PCV (which is hidden behind the inlet manifold) is all too much…..and then you see that red beautifully thing….😮
And for us Yankees, i believe this is the type of car that was crashed in the movie "Ferris Bueller's day off" actually crunched a fiberglass replica on a corvette chassis
Compared to the sacrilege of putting E motors and Lithium batteries into an old Ferrari, i think that reincarnating a coupe as a convertible pretty much goes under the radar these days. One bloke who did electrify an old Ferrari claimed that the original engine had been 'stolen'. We'd have to take this at face value i suppose, but i'd be more at ease with the concept if i'd actually seen the crime reference number. If it is true, shame on the person who bought an engine with the number ground off and overstamped.
British engineers best in the world probably better than original car you are one lucky bar steward throwing y’a legs in that enjoy it but not to much encore
How this channel does not have a million subscribers already is a complete mystery, the content, information, videography and character is superb.
Fantastic. If you’re impressed Ivan, it’s got to be good… 🙂
As usual Ivan, excellent video. Tanya behind the camera does such an excellent job and you are very relaxed when she is filming. She has excellent skills and her editing is 2nd to none. Quite apart from that, the whole experience and your engineering knowledge and delivery of your subject is just quirky and unique. Take care and enjoy your trip.
What a treasure it is to have Ivan's commentary on this. They don't make them like him anymore.
I love the way you touch the bonnet like it was an real horse.
Pure affection.
Drive it safely, the car is still worth a fortune and you are priceless!
This channel is on another level.
That is absolutely gorgeous. The detailing is unreal!
That Ferrari has to be far better than the factory original. Can't wait for the Italy series. Hope you enjoy the trip.
What a stunning piece of craftsmanship. Do the wooden bucks still exist, I wonder...?
The very question I wanted to ask, is the wooden buck still in existence? Even that by itself would be worth a fortune!
Looks better than a factory one in my eyes. Subscribed.
I love how Ivan gently fondles the bonnet of the Ferrari as he talks!
Suzzie's dad was a very clever dude, the sort of man that put Great in Britain.
Nothing less than a work of art…..stunning car.
Never complain
Never explain
It’s as beautiful as any
What a gorgeous car. Even Ferris Bueller would be impressed!
You are one lucky old codger please plenty of your videos from Italy God speed and safety to you both.
The level of detail to make that car what it is is astonishing. Great work on keeping us up to date. Have fun in Italy.
What a beautiful creation........
I have no doubt that your trip will be one of a lifetime..... enjoy it!!
Wow. What a machine. Awesome.
It has a lovely Nardi woodrim steering wheel.I used to sell these(& others) to Steve Lay at Maranello Concessionaires in the late 80,s,early 90,s;he ran the parts dept at the time.
THAT GUY SHURE HAD TALENTS . THANKS

A Great Blokes, Bloke.Fantastic Channel
Those tail lights look reminiscent of those of the Austin A40 Farina and the Morris 1100 of the mid 1960's here in Australia.
Suzie's dad has done a first class job on that old "Faz" Ivan, nice.
Every time I see those I think the same thing.
I thought that in the last video on the car. They certainly look like BMC tail lights to me. It's probable that BMC nicked the design from Ferrari, I doubt very much it was the other way round. Unless they have Lucas stamped on them ! lol

Beautiful car. Highly entertaining commentary. 👍😎
What a fabulous looking car you are going to have some fun in that and the Italians are going to love it
Happy birthday Ivan!🎉
i am totally knocked out as well. Thank you kind sir.
Sunday morning in Oz and I get a chance to enjoy the latest from Ivan and then Scott and agents at Cold War Motors. Brilliant.
Unbelievable job! Suzie’s dad is a treasure just like the car. Have fun in Italy.
The world definitely needs more Ivans, love this channel, it's such a joy to watch and listen to. Looking at that beautiful Ferrari has me itching to own something red, Italian, exotic and fast!
I would put this conversion in the same category as a re-bodied old Bemtley.. Done quite often over the years and completely acceptable.
That car is very valuable in its own right, you best take great care of it!
Have fun and keep up the good work!
JIM ❤
Thanks for the full S.P. Ivan, I hope you have sunshine all the way and a great trip. Best wishes.
Drive it like you stole it, Ivan 😎
Fabulous ivan you are one lucky chap, looking forward to seeing you in italy

We are having a great time thanks Bruce - but thunderstorms rather than the sunshine we were expecting
*What a work of art that car is, look forward to hearing about the trip soon* 👍
Thanks Ivan... that's one great ride!!
It's definitely a real Ferrari- I see the jumper cables in the boot.
Absolutely stunning , work of art . Genius
Glimpses into another world
This is yet another priceless video. Absolute genius production pitched at just the right level leaving me, and many other am sure, speechless. Enjoy Italy.
Ivan you and Suzie are going to have a wonderful trip to Italy. I am really envious. Hope the weather is good on the trip there and back.
Thanks for the technical update on the Ferrari Ivan. Great camera work bytheway. Beautiful, beautiful car, stunning in fact.
I'm surprised Ferrari haven't lodged a copyright breach claim for that work of genius.
It looks like your standard of workmanship Ivan
@ loyndsy, I don't think they could considering the chassis and engine are all genuine Ferrari and plenty of older cars have been re-bodied, so I don't think in law they would have a leg to stand on.
ivan. you are a diamond. this car is a work of art and you are going to drive it home superb awesome stuff
Can’t wait for more
Another very interesting video 👍
My favourite channel.
Love how he pats the car.
Aha first to comment, one heck of a car, built by one heck of a guy. You’re not so bad yourself.
Lift my spirits as an older chap. Could SP be situation prevailing ???.
Keep on with the great videos!
Mint. All of you and the car!

Auto straordinaria
Grazie per averla descritta così dettagliatamente
What a Beauty, the work put into this vehicle show through!✨🌳🌼💫🐝🌩️🐎🔧🍏💎
Magic video
Great stuff love the history
Great car! Where can we get a copy of that book?
Given the fact that Nick Mason and other Tifosi are not averse to reshaping cars from their collections in the tyre walls of Goodwood and other circuits around the world, it was only a thought in passing as to the value of this car and the journey you are about to undertake in it. Again brilliant and in-depth knowledge thanks.

Stunning.
Beautiful!
I would love a copy of that photo album😉

Ivan stroked that Ferrari like a favorite cat...😁😁
It’s wonderful.
Fantastic!
Beautiful car, maybe not worth several million but it would still command a HIGH price!!!!
Suzie's a lucky girl 😅😅😅
So the buck is made so perfect its better than the original from Ferrari. They could make them and sell them new if Ferrari would license it to them. Wow. How cool would that be! 😊

What do you think of the pursang type 35s
Quick get that fram filter off, they are the worst filters going.
Fabulous 👍

Can we buy the book?
How did he do it?
Is Pana Farina the same as Pininfarina? Im sorry im a smart arse when it comes to pronunciation of things Ferrari and or Italian or any language.
Ivan says that it is Pininfarina with a Greenford, Middlesex accent !!
You’re a inspiration to many Ivan. 🇦🇺
So is this car built on a 'Panafarina' chassis?
Pinin Farina built the bodies on the Ferrari Chassis.
Yes - sorry for the pronunciation- I think it was designed by Pininfarina and actually bodied by Scaglietti back in the day
Beautiful and cars not bad either 😂
Does Ferrari have a problem with this replica?
Is it a 'replica' when it's a reshaping of a numbers matching Ferrari of the same era?
@@johnrussell5245 Quite ! Absolutely ! It is no more of a replica than a pukka 1950's Frazer Nash Le Mans Replica replica !
@@johnrussell5245 no is the simple answer!
FGS dont bend it.
