I remember watching this when MM was filming it ... they went to commercial and cut Wilco's performance right after Kingpin and never aired Outtasite Outtamind and I was pissed! lol
This was taped in Switzerland in February of 1997. It was for a short-lived program on MTV Europe called MTV Rocks St. Moritz (even though the set was in La Bresse, about 10 km down the road). It was hosted by Pauly Shore.
Marble Mountain Ski Resort in Newfoundland. It was part of the 1997 MuchMusic SnowJob where the music station basically took over the ski hill for a week of concerts and programming.
Jay Bennett was a virtuoso. I’m truly, deeply sad for his departure from our lives.
I live in Pekin Il and this song is it's greatest achievement so far...
And a shout out to Kyla Lounseberry(sp.?)
Being there is perhaps our generations exile on main St...I'm Jeff's age & know all about the Vicodin period & that cloud...
It's hilarious that it starts out as Wilco and by the end it's basically Uncle Tupelo going back to their 80s punk roots!
Sounds like rock n roll to me 🕺🏼
that brief moment when Wilco was for ... snowboarding. ?
Awesome ! Simply awesome, it looks like a lot of fun for everyone.
I was at this show. I was 14.
Zen Jenga Where was this?
Normally I like the way the current lineup plays stuff, but this definitely beat any performance of kingpin I've seen from them
actually this footage is from MuchMusic's Snowjow broadcast from Marble Mountain near Corner Brook Newfoundland in 1997.

That powerfull song deserves an avalanche!
This is the same tempo as "You Don't Know How It Feels" by Petty.
This is a MILLION times better than their video from AM...and it still looks like a 90s video, anyway...
awesome solo Jay RIP
