@@BradleyHallGuitar well I've been reading and speaking the comments on your Video out loud for my self this time (like an old fine lady would do) and your comment gave me the surprising-shit.
For another band speedrun, here's something many people wouldn't expect: *Budgie.* For those not aware of them, they're a highly-underappreciated band from Wales that influenced many of metal's heavy-hitters, such as Metallica and Soundgarden (who could _also_ make for a good speedrun).
Hrhehrhr... I remember: Me, '81 i was 15, bying the first Budgi LP. Going home, playing that Shit in appropriate volume for this kind of Music and my Dad took away my Speakers ... 🤣
I have always appreciated how their simplicity complicates their live performances. Look, if Petrucci misses a note, 90% of the audience doesn't catch it, if Angus fucks up anything in any song, the fourteen year old girl there with her dad goes, "that didn't sound right...". It's a lot of pressure...
You've obviously never seen them live. It's basically Angus just wanking over the pentatonic for 2 hours. Every song has extended improvised guitar solos, with more guitar solos in between songs.
@@NedJeffery Seen them three times...and Dream Theater four...not even close to the same thing. I wasn't talking about Angus improvising...every time I've seen them, they sound tight during the songs, and he plays the notes he is supposed to play. Wasn't referencing his solos...
I love these 5 Minute challenges because they show you getting full creative and they're simply hilarious, just like this one. Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin or Van Halen would be great🤘🎸
I keep coming back to these cause they're so fun and put me in a good mood! Well done! If you're looking at doing more rock bands, may I suggest Dire Straits? Would be curious to hear some clean guitar
That's an actual ac/dc song. It was on their 42nd album, "we've already played this". Its a jam. Nice work, dude. Rock stuff would be acceptable to me anytime.
When i see your Speedruns i always think why no body invents an instrument that can play notes varios octaves low of the guitar, like i dont know, an electric Chello or Something.
You could attempt to go for Amon Amarth. Their style is very defined and imho pretty easy to emulate. Which probably is the reason that there is no other band even sounding close to them - they would be instantly called out as a rip-off.
@@BigMuff75I was listening to Be'lakor's "Of Breath and Bone" a few days ago and thought to myself the album sounded a lot like Amon Amarth. I immediately remembered that after reading your comment. Another similar band I can name is Havamal, which is probably an even closer match.
@@BigMuff75I also remembered Varang Nord and Skalmold. These bands may be less similar sound-wise, but their songs are the kind that can pump you up, so to say (very high energy). I've seen Varang Nord live about five times, they always manage to hype up the audience. One of the times I saw them was in a festival and their mosh pit was comparable to headlining bands, despite them being fairly little known. Skalmold I also saw, when they were touring with Alestorm and they put up an incredible show too. They were supposed to warm Alestorm up, but by the time they finished their set, I was not only warmed up, but needed a break, because I was too tired from moshing.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate how well he did that improvised Angus Young style solo almost effortlessly.
But…..it’s an Angus Young solo
True true
We don't listen to Angus Young solos so much as rock out to them while pretending we're a manic middle aged guy in a school boy outfit.
This is actually how AC/DC make all of their songs.
“I’m sick to death of people saying we’ve made 11 albums that sound exactly the same. In fact, we’ve made 12 albums that sound exactly the same.”
literal the power up album
You could say the same of many bands, ergo, Iron Maiden haha
Yea ok ruclips.net/video/DWKcJwuZnzE/видео.html
@@manuele.itriagom.728 Iron Maiden kind of changed their style. Can’t say I like it though
This honestly sounds like all of the AC/DC songs combined.
Here's some bands you could attempt
-Anthrax
-Pennywise
-In Flames
-Wage War
-Black Flag
-Stormtroopers of Death (SOD)
-Bad Religion
-Primus
-Motley Crue
-Van Halen
-Stone Sour
-Exodus
-Green Jelly
-Symphony X
-Motorhead
I second Motley Crue
Motley Crue Would be very interesting
Agreed! Nirvana too
Yes wage war
Pennywise speedrun would be hilarious
AC/DC puts so much feeling in their solos. They're simple yet so fun to play and I absolutely love playing their songs
Legit -- it's also SUPER fun on drums. It may seem like nothing technically, but you still have to be a very good drummer to do it justice.
@@warren_r I agree
@@warren_r I once heard Phil Collen say "They're easy to play but they're hard to play well".
Riffs are great. Lyrics/vocals terrible and repetitive
@@lordrob13 What are you on, Bon Scott was a lyrical genius and Brian Johnson has an unbelievably unique voice that he always puts 110% into
His vocals kinda sound like Udo Dirkschneider singing a Motley Crue song.
yet somehow better than Vince Neil in that one concert within recent memory...
I'd surely like to see a Primus song speedrun. All their lyrics are just as weird as you, Bradley. Ya just need a pro bassist for it.
Primus drummer is quite advanced level too
@@SvgShoot3R But you can't explain the badum tumtudumtum tss tss tss kah-s in 5 minutes or less. True enough though
There would be bass for once 🤣
Got a primus ad in this vid lol
Fuck yeah. Primus is sick
Motley Crue would be a fun speed run
@@davehoward22 WAGAH
You should do a bass-only song, that way we'd get 5 minutes of silence. Zing!
As a bassist, (Silence)
Ah the old AJFA tactics I see
AJFA is still their second best record, so I guess bass isn’t that important:p
So for metal, I would suggest:
1. Mayhem
2. Darkthrone
3. Ghost
4. Black Sabbath
5. Dio
For rock, I would suggest:
1. Kiss
2. The Beatles
3. Led Zeppelin
4. Deep Purple
5. Prince
With all the hilariousness, the solo is actually pretty damn impressive!
A Rush version of this would be sick, mostly to see a Neil Peart part done on a keyboard
I mean it would probably go about as well as the Dream Theater one went.
You should do a Type O Negative speedrun, then we could experience your masterful bass skills
2
And his impression
I’ve waited my whole life for this… it’s finally here!

That's just called making a song.
What if they added casual walking into olympics instead of 100M run

A drum fill in an AC/DC song? Scandalous!
The singing sounded so much like the Crack Fox from The Mighty Boosh. I'm in tears. You're amazing Bradley.
The funny thing is that the lyrics are legitimately something AC/DC could write
Clock strikes 12....oh man I haven't laughed so hard at those amazing vocals

Brutal vocal entrance.

Motörhead speedrun? I already have the title of the track: ACE OF BEANS
Now you're gonna have to speedrun Burzum, considering the spot on Varg impression
Thanks for doin’ AC/DC bc they are my most favorite band EVER!
The end product didn't sound that different than an ACDC song. The solo was on point.
as someone who knows both the AC/DC songs I was wondering what he spent the other 4 minutes on
