How many gallons of coolant do you think I will need to buy? How many gallons of water? Thank you!!

With the 3.0 and 3.6 I believe two gallons of the 50/50 premix DexCool will be enough to fill the system.

@nightwave2k6 yes that's good but to save money buy 1 Pure Consentrate gallon of coolant then pour it in a bucket then fill up the gallon with water and pour that into a bucket and boom you got an extra gallon for free

Should I take bad thermostat out before flush or leave it in?

I say change the thermostat first and after you replace it flush the coolant system like he did in the video with water first until when you drain the system it comes out clean

I don't think Radiator Drain Lines came stock on 3.8L Lacrosses 2009 or prior.

You need to know how much water is left in the engine block after the petcock fully drains otherwise your coolant ratio will be wrong. In my camry 1/2 of the system capacity is stuck in the engine after the radiator is fully drained. After I have flushed several times and have pure water in the system I add %100 pure coolant to the radiator. When it mixes with the water stuck in the engine it ends up exactly %50 /50. In this video you add a 50/50 mix when done. If there is any water stuck in the engine the ratio will be wrong. Unless you can answer how much water remains in the engine AFTER you drain the radiator you will not get the ratio right.

With the 2009 unless you have the 3.6 or the 5.3 you're probably going to have better results looking up the Grand Prix or the older Regal/Century with the 3.8L V6, as it's the same engine more or less.

🤦🏻 Buena suerte.
