- To go with the recent video upload of this historic uk train. Here we have the full length video, of 41 001's 1st ever run with a test train. Filmed on the 31st of May 2014 on the GCRN (Great Central Railway Nottingham).
In this video we take a closer look at & inside 41 001, start up & shut down, the test run. Also seen after completing it's test run, GCRN's class 56 haul the train back from Loughborough. Another of GCRN's home fleet, class 47 is seen shunting stock at Ruddington to release the rolling stock for this historic test train.

nice vid lain, superb 47, superb 56, but this 41 is bloody awfull, fantastic valenta sounds from it but i just cant get away with this loco, what i want to know is there a second unit to make a full train, it seems in very good condition though, nicely shot vid though
Many thanks my freind. This 41 once one spends a bit of time round it, will grow on you. Certainly has on me :-) Such an iconic & historic loco, a pleasure to see & hear running again. Sadly the 2nd prototype power car was scrapped. Hats off to the folks whom, have put a lot of time & effort into restoring this historic loco. Still more work to be done on it though. Full details, on the 125 group website. Long may this ol' girl run again. Cheers.
