    Ahhh, reading music. I use songster and they have an option to switch the tabs on drums to use the letter of the drum. So S = snare K = kick ..... you see where this is going. And they are placed on the line that the "regular" notes would be on. It makes it so much easier to read for me. It's more like reading guitar tab. I have a similar method for piano that I got from this piano course I bought. The instructor had regular sheet music, but also added the nodes and chords in what he called "cheat sheets". To me, I just think music written out the old way is just music snobs trying to hand onto things of the past.
