Great tutorial! Excellent way to separate the two halves with no damage at all. For me, the pin had simply slipped out a bit so a quick push back and all fixed. Mrs G, very happy indeed and so am I as the washer lives to wash another day. Thank you so much. 👍

Hey, this has been really helpful but how can I tell if my door lock system is still working ? Because I think that's my problem now. I got the washing machine open but it still won't start any wash cycle. I am using an LG F8068LDP if that helps.

when you start the cycle does the door lock and lock sign appear ? Does it give you any error codes

@@askmrwashywashy none actually, but I don't think that my washing machine model can actually give me an error code. No worries dude. I am still going to call an actual technician to service the washing machine. It's been 15 years so she needed it

hi there is a metal panel that usually drops if you are not careful. It sits behind the metal frame where the door hinge is. It must have dropped inside the washing machine
