    Noone wants to talk about depression... Even family members too.. people laugh to hear about depression and all and when so much to talk but noone to hear... that's why Fear of failure, depression, anxiety occurs. Thanks for Explaining so nicely.

    The callous way in which the word 'Depression' is generally referred often makes people take it lightly. But the pain, loneliness, self doubt, lack of confidence, constant feeling of being choked is way more than the pain from some physical or visible injury. Sometimes even one doesn't feel like picking up the phone and calling, going out and talking, sitting in front of the family and opening up. There are myraids of symptoms ( which probably the experts know pretty well). Grateful to Dr Shivin Chaudhary and his minuscule efforts in this direction. Because sometimes the most accessible and easiest medication during these times is to just feel and see that we aren't alone.

    Another solution I have for loliness in aspirant life is to create an online virtual library where anyone can join and study. As many aspirants will be there, so the aspirant won't feel alone or distracted, which will help the aspirant focus.

      You are right..I have joined the Study gang 6 months back..And it really helped to come out of that loneliness phase when I was struggling a lot especially after Prelims 2022

    In my case, I never realised it that I am depressed but recently got medical tests done & now that I'm coping with HYPERTENSION bcz of stress in preparation!! Totally devastated that we don't even understand that we're depressed since I never treated it, it took bad effect on my health!
    If somebody is feeling stressed/depressed/worried seek help ASAP start with family members at least!

      Serotonin levels must have gone down. Tb. Pexep is what they will prescribe as a starter. Very costly medicines. But it will bring your momentum back within 2-3 months of treatment. The entire treatment cost me 10k rs.

    Even though this is a great initiative, this video fails to talk about how UPSC preparation can lead to depression. And how we can particularly deal with that kind of feeling. Ofc, it made us understand the basics of depression but I was waiting all along for you to link UPSC and depression, which unfortunately did not happen.

    Thanks for your initiative. You are really genuine friend. Sometimes we ignored our mental health because of our other responsibility and we think we will be okay after some time. But I was wrong at that time.Planning to take a break from UPSC this year.

    If are depressed becz of any reason....try making significant changes ...like changing place, people, routine...do everything you can do in positive direction....have patience.
    Just have believe that you are strong enough to choose the right thought in your head....listen happy music....make yourself very busy....with time memories of that trauma might fade away.
    Chart out your purpose in life....make your problems look very small infront of your trauma.

    Like deppression,people with OCD also struggle while preparing with adequately occuring intrusive thoughts. It would b great if u could upload a video in that regard.

      As I have OCD I am taking SSRI drugs from Psychiatrist, you also can go for it.

    If so,what is the procedure should I follow under upsc exam writing??
    Should I get mental illness certificate from psychiatrist doctor??

      I too get panic attacks now.. But my reason is different. Meri shaadi almost essi saal. Final hogyi thi. Mera almost 2 years ka relationship tha. I felt like He loved me without any conditions. He always use to inspire me support me a lot. Main uss pr etna trust krti thi over emotionally dependent hogyi thi . Phir last September ko pta chala ki wo already pichle 5 years se already ek committed relationship m tha. Matlab wo hum dono ko cheat kr raha tha. Jab mujhe pata chala toh I was completely shattered broken, all my life I had been alone sad, but with him I felt so complete, main ne kabhi socha nhi tha aisa bhi kuch hoga. Thn main ne uske uss gf ko contact kia phir jakr Sare proofs bhi dikhaye. Lekin shocking baat toh ye hain ki uss ladki ne sab jnte huwe bhi uss ko phirse accept krlia. Aaj wo dono phirse ek saath hain. Mera sab khtm hogya roz roti hoon main ne usse pucha bhi ki main ne etna kuch invest kia tum ne mujhe etna support kia you knew everything abt me when no one was there u are the only person with whom I shared my insecurities aur tumne aaj aisa kiyu kia agar tum usse etna hi saccha pyaar krte ho toh mera 2 yrs brbaad kiyu kia aur mere emotions feelings se kiyu khela. Lekin wo bola ki main uske liye matter hi nhi krti ab aur wo kbhi mujhse pyaar nhi krta tha. Uske family friends ko bhi pta h jo usne mere saath aisa kiya phir bhi wo log usse support kr rhw h sabne mujhe sideline krdia. Ignore krke block krdia bas ab life m etni akeli hoon. Depression m rehti hoon in fact suicide attempt tk kr chuki hoon.. Lekin jb bhi apne mummy papa ko dekhti hoon bas yahi sochti hoon mera koi bhai behen nhi hain main only child hoon. Agar mujhe kuch hogya toh mere parents ka kia hoga. I'm a post graduate I can re start everything , focus on my career and leave my past life behind and move on.. But I'm. Scared these thoughts haunt me I feel like giving up.

    I'm having mild depression symptoms from last few days. I'm writing Mains this year. Insomnia to be exact, not anxiety. But the psychologist you mentioned she is not available this week. I require immediate help so that it can be contained as quickly as it can be. I don't want to loose another year. I've already lost my 2 prelims attempt to depression both due to COVID and some personal stuff.
    Please suggest some good alternative Psychologists in Delhi. Thanks

      These medicines are only prescribed by a doctor. Even knowing the name won't do because chemist would deny saying they don't keep such medicines, unless you have a prescription . These group of medicines are not sold normally like other medicines
